Rascals Family Fun Center

Always wanted to try this place, even though I don’t have kids. Never got around to it until finding a really good deal on groupon for two games of laser tag and one game of golf for two people. Mini golf was ok. It is quite mini. Laser tag, on the other hand, was super duper fun. And, it was just the two of us. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a fun activity to do with friends and at the same time looking to lose some of that extra water weight because trust me, you will work up a sweat after a game or two of laser tag.

Came here to play games and thought it was pretty cool how they have mini golf, mini bowling, and laser tag. We did bowling and mini golf. The mini golf course they had was very loud and scary for my son who is 3yrs old. All the pirates in there talking and making loud noises scared him and he couldn’t finish his game. Also outside where the regular games are the music is so loud that you can’t even talk with the workers about the packages they have. On top of that, the workers aren’t very helpful. They don’t ask you if you have any questions or need any help, they just stand behind the counter and wait for you to figure things out on your own. There’s no bathroom inside the place, they give you a key and you have to walk to the side of the building. The bathroom stall smells like exhaust! Definitely not coming back here and wasting my money. This place is a total flop!

No! I did not lose to a group of mean bully elementary kids on my first Laser Tag! The score wasn’t something like 14k vs 54k… they was mean and laughed at us!
Like many others had mentioned, I’m a die hard HIMYM fan as well!
Always wanted to try laser tag at least once to see how it feels like!
It was legen wait for it, well, not too dary.
Maybe our group didn’t suit up, or Barney is not with us.
But it’s still quite fun, especially we had a few rounds play with some other relative more mature friends.
I would say this place is a blast if you’re able to have a large party.
You really need to play with similar age groups to find a truly amazing experience.
It was definitely not fun when our ass whooped by the little rascals, and I really feel bad if I shoot them down.
I wish I could be more like you Barney.
Do be aware, that each game takes about 15mins wait time… so you’ll have to wait like atleast 30mins for two other teams played, then you could play for two rounds in a row.
Would not suggest you buy the unlimited pass if you’re going in 7pm or so, as they close at 9.
The bottom line is, it was quite fun. Makes you feel like a kid again.
There’re other games here too, but laser tag is really the only thing worth playing for.

Great place to bring the kids. Had a blast playing laser tag. They also have miniature golf and arcade games. Employees are very friendly and enthusiastic. Will definitely be back. Good old fashion fun for the family.

This was a fun place to take the kids. The adult and kids have fun in the laser tag room hiding in the maze and popping up on each other. My husband and I enjoyed taking the grandkids here. I’m glad I’m a young enough grandma to keep up with those lil rascals. Fun day.

Shitty deals. I literally called TODAY not even 6 hours ago to ask if they sell gift cards and the guy who answered said yes. I walk in and first of all it is dirty and ghetto as hell and blasting hip hop. I told the girl at the counter I wanted to buy a gift card and she said «under what name?» What? No I want to buy a gift card. Maybe she couldn’t hear me over the über loud music. She said «oh. Let me ask.» She comes back and says «we don’t do that anymore.» I said «I literally called today to ask.» And she just said yeah sorry the manager says we don’t do that anymore. WTF. Don’t go here. Go to Fun Factory or something instead. So stupid.

Stop what you’re doing and go play laser tag!
Two or maybe three times total I’ve been to Rascals in their whole time being in Dole Cannery. All those times were specifically because of laser tag. If Barney Stinson were real, I’d be Barney Stinson and call my friends to Suit Up! so we can play laser tag.
It’s surprisingly bigger than you think of it from the outside because not only do they have laser tag but they also have mini golf. Rascals has also every mandatory game you need in order to call it an arcade for my standards. Racing games, kiddie games, air hockey, crane games, basketball and DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION. These are MUSTS in arcades. lol
This review will mainly highlight laser tag. I don’t think there’s very many of these on the island and I well, unfortunately, haven’t been to any other laser tag places. Yeah the beginning intro is a bit cheesy, because it’s aimed for younger kids, watching grown adults play this might be weird but it’s not, it’s super fun. I can get pretty competitive in these situations and believe me, every time, I aimed to dominate.
Once you go through a tutorial on how to play safely in the room you suit up and depending how many people are playing you go into different colors. Red and blue teams? Try yellow and green. The best part really is depending on how busy they are at the time and how awesome you show them you are they’ll choose a different game play for you. My recent visit was with my club at school and we ended playing two games free, one because of student IDs and the other was because the staff was pretty cool and let us have at it with another game. They have their normal game play with the most kills, accuracy, claiming bases, etc. and they have their own version of capture the flag but with bases. They were pretty much playing with all the configurations and we were guinea pigs but since we had the numbers we were able to play up to four different games. For future references, depending on what color you are you may/​may not have an advantage over other colors.
Before this review gets way too long long I would highly recommend you play laser tag the next time you’re at Dole — it is so much fun! Also, wear black, you’ll thank me later.

Thursday afternoon I was at The Dole Cannery exploring what was still around that had customer appeal to it. I noticed the Rascals Family Fun Center located near the Regal movie theaters. I never knew this family friendly arcade facility existed until April 16, 2015.
Before I stepped foot into the establishment I noticed that there was an ad for laser tag specials on certain days (i wish I took a photo of it). I finally entered the vicinity to browse around and see what’s interesting at this family fun center. I noticed the grab a prize game, small bowling alley, a small room for glow in the dark golf, plus a PAC-​MAN arcade game, as well as a section called Castle Café that sells burgers, hot dogs, salads, and pizzas (food section was already closed for the day and I was hungry for a small burger). There’s also outside seating area for those who want to enjoy their meals under the sun or with the small cool breeze. I’m not sure if this area is good for the smokers. May have to double check that.
For family members who live in the Honolulu area this place could be an alternative environment to hold a birthday celebration for children in their pre-​teens. Better yet the adults can play laser tag and act like kids themselves.
This company has no relation ties to the parent company of Jungle Fun and Fun Factory.

Came here for the very first time last Saturday night. The place is small, I imagined it being bigger for some reason. As me and my daughter entered, we were greeted even if it was really busy! I told the guy at the register that it was our first time here and so he gave me a run down of all that was offered there and prices!
My 5 year old daughter seemed very adamant on playing bowling. The bowling is very limited with just 4 lanes, in which that night we went just 2 out of 4 lanes were operational. But my daughter got to bowl about five times in about an hour and a half of being there. There were a few times we had to wait for a lane.
The only two downsides I noticed right off the bat were:
1) Just one or two video games for little kids, majority are for older kids and adults.
2) Most of the video games are $ 1 each play.
Side notes:
There is a cute little playhouse for the little ones equipped with chairs and a small kitchen area.
They have a place to buy food and an area to sit and eat with about 5 – 6 tables
We are definitely going back this weekend to try out the mini golf portion and more bowling fun!
It is a fun new place to enjoy every so often!

We went here for a birthday party — all 20 of us. There was no other parties there, so no wait between games. However, it took forever for the details of each packet to be explained and pay.
The bathroom was far away, and it was a single stall for each gender. That took a while because we all went at the same time.
We got free round of golf while we waited for our friends to finish their fourth laser tag game.
3 stars. I suppose I would go again if it was for a special occasion, but wish there was another laser tag venue around.

Just right for the little ones. They loved the laser tag the best. The mini golf was 9 holes. They have week day specials, check it out online.

I found out about this place to take my kids on Unilocal.There were a few bad reviews but mostly good ones. So, we decided to try it as a reward for good grades on report cards. Maybe it was my lucky day and maybe its not always like this but it wasnt that great of an experience. First of all, there’s no restrooms in this establishment. You need to go outside and there’s a restroom around the corner. It is a really small place. The food isn’ t that great and its kinda pricey. We paid $ 7 for a 2L bottle of soda because it was the cheaper way to go! The kids got a 3 event package for $ 16.50 each. It included one round each of mini golf, bowling, and laser tag. We tried the bowling first and the machine kept breaking. It wouldn’ t return the balls. The mini golf was OK. But it only had 9 holes. The laser tag was fun but ended really quick! It wasn’ t the best first experience but then again there aren’ t very many places out there for kids to run around and have fun.

Fun place for the kids. Purchased the unlimited laser tag for son and his friends for his birthday party. They have a nice lanai area outside where I say the whole time doing some paperwork.
Staff was friendly and they even let me watch the spectate the first laser tag game in the arena. Overall great place, had a good time, no complaints here.

I don’t care about the other reviews because this place is better than they say. The laser tag and the miniature golf is a lot of fun. It does get crowded but still a great place.

Rascals
Argh– I really wish I would like this place more. It is so convenient compared to a chuck e cheese or somewhere farther away. But alas, It is what It is.
The mini golf– is mini. The Jungle River out by Toys R Us is far better. Rascals is so small that if I turn around I can see where I started. The décor is so ‘off’ and I don’t like it. I know they are trying to do neon and 3-​d or something but it is ‘off.‘
There is laser tag– so that is super cool. Get a team and have at it. Co-​workers (that are less than physically fit) went a few times too and came to work all happy and excited that they want to go again. I know other cities have way bigger courses and cooler set ups– but hey I don’t have laser tag so I think it is cool to be able to go when I want on my own.
There are some small games and usually it is overly crowded. On the weekends it is hopping.
There is a small pizza and snacks area– a must have if you are ever going to have keiki birthday parties. The kids love it so it must be good (yeah right).
There are online deals too– if you join their facebook page or bring in movie ticket stubs you get some discounts or other promos from time to time. And again– holidays which are busier are busy because there are some added specials that they have every now and then.

I came here while I was on my vacation and had an excellent time. The staff are super friendly and attentive. The facilities are awesome, lots of fun stuff to do for the kids. I love the themed décor, it’s really well done. We played mini bowling (a great value) and it was a ton of fun. The laser tag is awesome! It’s in a huge arena and is also really well done instead, complete with wall murals and lots of black lights.
Come check out this place for yourself, I’m not sure what the other Unilocalers are complaining about, Rascals is great!

I really wanted to give this place a chance but wow,
Well 1^st off laser tag was awesome, we bought the mini golf lazertag and bowling, if I go back it’s for tag only. Place was very dirty, bowling was broken we waited 20 min as 3 employees would try to fix, then we wait try again and then we wait try again and make me wait after I was ready for a refund they fixed it. wtf golf was ok decoration was nice course boring my kids did a few then wanted to skip the rest i had to force them to finish. I went to get food but no one came out so we didn’t get to have lunch 3 groups of people waited in line with us no service. Games were cool prizes were what price buster threw away before closing, crap. All in all they just need a good manager to come and fix the place up and get people to work and clean, and work on customer service. Very rude!

I hate that I have to give this place a star. This place deserves a negative. No system in place for customer service. It is hot like an oven. Half of the games here are out of order. They have four lanes of kid bowling. They claim that ¾ are broken but after waiting an hour to bowl (all lanes are broken). My toddler is bowling all 0 due to all bumpers being broken. Hate to stop and ask for my money back when my son was waiting so patiently to bowl. This is the last time we will be coming here. I’d give this place another try if the owner invested money into fixing up these machines, it’s so sad.
I have received two comments from Rascals Glen P. One based on his sincere apology for my unfortunate experience. Second on extortion based on non-​payment to Unilocal & 5-​star reviews being scrubbed off because of it.
While it all comes down to my personal opinion. Yes, this is a great idea for fun & especially for children. It would also be perfect to hang out (support local businesses) while waiting for your movie to begin at Dole Regal.
