I seen Kylie for a haircut after another stylist elsewhere didn’t really follow what I asked. Kylie was able to fix the problem I didn’t like and really listened to what I wanted! I also like that they provide a complementary hair clean up in between regular cuts, helps prolong the haircut and keep everything fresh! I would recommend her she does great work!

I haven’t seen Kylie at her new location but have previously seen her on multiple occasions when she was at Ryan Jacobie. She is the only stylist I have ever seen in my twenty some odd years where I have been completely satisfied with the results of my service. Every. Single. Time. I recently made the mistake of cheating on her when a Amazon local deal popped up that I thought was too good to pass up. Big. Mistake. Every single day when I look in the mirror at the terrible cut I received, and even worse highlighting, I regret it.
Go see Kylie. Not only is she skilled, but sweet too!

Kylie and Landon are both former Ryanjacobie hairstylists and Paul Mitchell graduates who went off on their own and founded The Moxie Hawaii. I was lucky that I caught Kylie on her last day at Ryanjacobie, so I followed her over to The Moxie.
Kylie is the ideal hairdresser — always solution-​oriented and a great listener who will recommend haircuts and treatments that are appropriate for your style, hair care habits, and concerns. She’ll never try to upsell you or try to persuade you to go in a direction that you are uncomfortable with.
I just tried the scalp treatment today, something I’d been meaning to do for a while. I’m so glad I did, because my scalp was in pretty bad condition. Now, it feels much lighter without all the buildup — it can breathe! — and my hair is in great condition, as a result!
It’s also awesome that Kylie and Landon offer complimentary maintenance cuts in between haircuts. You get more bang for your buck! Or more bang for those bangs, in my case. ;)
The Moxie shares space with 909 Beauty Essence, a full-​service salon on the ground floor of 909 Kapiolani (Greens & Vines and Mr. Tea are the other anchor tenants).

This shop really acquired some really talented stylists. Kylie did a excellent job on my gfs sister’s hair and makeup for prom. She also does great haircuts and color. Would highly recommend.
