I am really happy with Dr. Young. I always have a lot of questions and am very particular about my teeth since I want to have all of them when I am old! He is very patient and takes the time the answer my questions thoughtfully. He is also knowledgeable about recent research studies. When I was young I had many cavaties, I have at least one filling in each tooth… which is why I’m scared of dentists and the sound of the drill. After my dentist died I waited years before looking for another dentist. I’m grateful I found Dr. Young 15+ years ago.
Dr Young knows how to handle my anxiety. There have been times when I was difficult to work on because I refused to open my mouth. He is always patient, listens, and makes sure I’m okay before proceeding. Also, because I don’t like the sound of the drill the hygenist has to clean my teeth manually.
Dr Young has worked on my cavaties, fix old leaking fillings, replace mercury fillings, and done several crowns. The first 5+ years is when most of the dental work was done. Last year, I had a cavie under my crown and Dr Young was able to do everything in one visit because he has a machine that can make a crown in the office. I mention it because I thought the machine was neat.
My teeth is good now.
The office has updated dental equipment, clean and nice, almost like a spa environment. As you are being worked on you can look out the window and watch the ocean waves or you can watch the TV.
The front office staff is knowledable about my insurance plan and is very responsive when I have questions, need prescription called in, or need documentation for my flexspending.
