This place is pretty good as far as Subway’s go. Due to its tucked away location I’ve never dealt with a line longer than 1 – 2 people. It’s fairly clean and well kept. I like that they have a daily $ 3.50 sandwich, it’s great for my very limited budget. They have great hours too. My only real issue is they are heavy handed with sauces. I have to eagle eye them everytime or my sandwich ends up swimming in mayo. Unfortunately today I was t paying close enough attention and my spicy Italian ended up bathing in mayonnaise. Oh well. Other than that they are a-ok.

I just paid worth nothing sandwiches there! I asked specific price for a sandwich after 4pm and the old woman said«Yes» but I end up paying $ 9 +tax for very slow, less meat, and little veggies!!! Ridiculous! If I wasn’t hungry I would never pay for it! They lied, and cheated with their service! D Not Go to This Subway place!

Typical fast food subway. Not worth going here though, the parking is horrible. Very oddly placed store. Not sure who in their right mind at subway allowed for this place to even open is such a garbage ¼ strip mall type corner. The sandwich was fine, the location brought this rating down significantly.

Most of the time when I go in here I have to wait until they ask me what I want on my sandwich before I can tell them. If I tell them the next step ahead of time, they always ask me again what I wanted. Apparently they can’t remember for 10 seconds. Today there was a new guy and he was on it. While my sandwich was being toasted he asked what sauce I wanted. I stopped there thinking he’d ask which veggies after he put the sauce on but he also asked what veggies I wanted and actually remembered everything I told him(which was only 2 veggies but still better than everyone else). Don’t always expect fast service. It’s hard to tell their busy times. I can go at 12:15 every day and there is a different number of people in there.

Went to get sandwiches after going to Kapahulu location where they were out of bread! Guess what… This location was also out of bread! For what purports to be a sandwich shop, this is unacceptable! To be out of bread at 7pm on a weeknight? This isn’t my favorite place to eat but it’s convenient, somewhat healthier fast-food. The problem is having what they advertise… Like sandwiches!

Always love the sandwiches. Close to home. Lots of parking in the bad. Also the staff are very patient and always willing to help.

This subway is kind of a hole in the wall. It’s really easy to miss. The inside is very clean but badly lit. The workers were very nice. Service was nice and quick!

This is by far the best subway in Hawaii. The staff is extremely friendly, cordial, and competent. They always remember my order– I just walk in and they start making my sandwich(lol). I will also say that this subway is very generous with their veggies and condiments. Even the cookies are fresh and always delicious. I wish I worked in Kaimuki so I could go to this subway every day

My boyfriend and I stopped here before our hike to get a footlong to go. I ordered the sandwich with the veggies on the side so that they wouldn’t make the bread soggy while we packed the sandwiches along in our back pack(s). Paul(darned, I hope that is his name), a younger tall gentleman was the person who served me. He DEFINATELY went above and beyond in the area of service than what most would expect from a typical take out place. He was engaging and deliberate with regard to putting condiments and veggies so that the sandwich would be «just right» when we were ready to put it together. I’ve been going to a nearby Subway in the area on the regular but that day the parking lot was full. I glad that we made our way over to this Subway because there wasn’t a line at all AND mostly because Paul made it worth the trip. I mentioned the service to my BF(who was waiting in the car) and he told me «Yeah, I remember that boy… he’s good». Business owners are fortunate to have employees who care about what they do.

Go early, they run out of bread and have limited selection at night. But the guy that helped us was nice. First time being served by a sandwich artist that was nice.

Pretty average subway. The restaurant is smaller than most other franchises and the workers seem a touch more forlorn. Otherwise, par for the chain.

This is literally down the street from me. It is not the largest subway — but they manage to squeeze in a few tables for diners to use if they want to eat in, although their traffic is largely take out. The staff there is always friendly and patient. They are open from 7 am and I am always impressed at the steady traffic they seem to always have — it is never too crowded, so no matter what you order you very rarely wait long at all. I mean, it is Subway. Now I don’t get the exciting stuff — it is true, no meatball sub or club sandwich for me — I get the veggie delight on Parmesan bread. But I really enjoy it and feel like I am being healthy anyway! Parking on 11th and is usually OK — I normally walk here — but there are only a few stalls in front. I have not seen it — unless it is KAC basketball season — to be packed — so you can usually get a spot. It is a great healthy option if your kids or you are at the rec center across the street shooting some hoops! You just run across the street and you are set!

One of my local Subways I frequent when I am in the mood for Subway for dinner on weekday nights and during the weekends when I am not Phở-ing. The other Subway locations are in Kahala Mall(nearby): one inside the mall near Cookie Corner & Panda Express and the other completely outside the mall next to the Olive Tree Greek restaurant. Nothing much to say about this Subway, other than it’s more or less like what most — if not all Subway restaurants are supposed to be. The only thing that’s good for me about this particular location is that the distance from the house is shorter than going to Kahala Mall to feed the addiction. All Subways are the same, more or less. I did like the fact that most Subways are priced basically the same. While I know that Subways are franchises, I’m glad that all of the subs, whether its a 6 inch or foot long and the other items are priced relatively the same. The only thing that’s basically the difference is the service and atmosphere that you would receive from any Subway store you go to for your sandwich. I’m not so satisfied with this particular Subway restaurant experience, since sometimes, I would say, extra onions, and the person helping me only grabbed a little of it and that wasn’t enough. I really dislike it when they go skimpy on the vegetables, but that’s my pet peeve. I normally go with the $ 5 footlong specials($ 6 in Hawaii) since they’re the cheapest ones. I don’t like the fact that some footlongs — like tuna, that’s more expensive than others. That just irks me a bit, but what can I do about it. They give as little as possible, as far as veggies go, since they are expensive to the business. But then again, this is their life blood of the business. I like my sandwich to be loaded with vegetables, so when they look at me like«More? You want more?» like its a chore, that irks me too. Most of the time, the experience was good and average, which is what you want. Anything more would be random and weird, but maybe that’s how I operate in this fast food environment. In upscale restaurants, its expected, but not here. Parking is decent, but I normally walk here from home, so that’s not an issue. They have a few parking spaces in front of the shop, but most times its filled. Other options are to park in the Kaimuki municipal parking lot, which you got to pay now. I remember a time that it was free, but the area businesses started to complain about something, so nowadays, it’s now a paid thing. I think there’s a grace period of 15 minutes, then $.75 for the first hour. So, it’s best to have a friend pick up and pay for your sandwich while you wait. Once 15 minutes is up and he or she isn’t back in the car, drive out of the lot and call him /her and save $ 0.75. Been there, done that just to save $.75. I eat at Subway because it’s more healthy than other options. Viva Phở! B+

I go here about twice a month usually no problems. But today my bread was hard. i always get it toasted but today it was too hard. I wasted half. The service was good, the bread was bad.

Yeesh. I know the food at Subway sucks but my grams told me get her a sandwich from here. So I did. It was as nasty as I expected. No biggie. Grams paid. The service, however, was just horrible. I won’t go back, but one of these days someone is going to go ham on these fools and rip this place apart. Fact. Worst service ever. I Crush Your Head!

Came here for lunch… the girl helping me(I guess) couldn’t hear what I was saying because she was peering above the counter trying to read my lips and then would hesitantly put on what she thought I said. Maybe she just couldn’t speak english… I usually get a sandwich here and go next door to the pill box for a canned hawaiian sun :)

This Subway is conveniently located near my work. I used to eat here 2 – 3 times a week. Then there were a couple months where I didn’t eat here because I got food poisoning from here. I forgive them for that and I got the courage back to eat here and now I eat here about 3 times a month. I guess sh** happens. Since then I haven’t ordered the Meatball Marina(the sandwich that poisoned me!) This particular Subway gets really busy during the lunch hour during the weekdays. I would usually go later around 12:45pm-1:00pm and miss the lunch rush(most of the time). It seems like this location seems to always run out of white chip macadamia nut cookies by the time I get there for lunch. It’s just like any other Subway I’ve been to. There is nothing really special about the place. If you keep your receipt it allows you to answer a survey online and get a free cookie next time you go in(this is probably the reason why they are always out of white chip macadamia nut cookies). I would like to give it 2 ½ stars but we will round up since its«ok» enough for me to eat at multiple times during the month and everyone that works there is nice.

Since it had been a few years since I’ve visited this Subway, I figured I’d go back & try it. I’m not sure if the owner changed or if he just hired new workers, but all I can say is that service really went down! They’re really rude & extremely SLOW not only physically, but mentally as well. Pros: good sandwiches(hence the 3 stars) Cons: bad service & parking sucks! My advice: try the one in Kahala Mall It’s too bad service went downhill here. The old owner was a really nice guy & the workers used to be really good.

Yes as Subway food goes they taste pretty much all the same. So what do I like about this location? Majority of the servers here are quick. The owner is friendly. Also they don’t give you that look like«Are you serious?» when you ask for more lettuce or jalapeños. I hate it when the sandwich people at other locations give me that look. It’s like hey maybe I like my sandwich spicy! Cons are that they have only a few dedicated stalls on 11th Ave. However, you can park in the municipal parking lot(same as big city diner, green papaya…). If you are planning to just run in and out for a sandwich that option works fine, because I think they have like a 15 min grace period, and if by chance you do go over it’s $ 0.75 for the first hour to park there.

Is this true? No one wrote about this Subway? Seriously? Okay I will write about it then! This is the only one I’ve been to more than once… most of the times, not by choice but that’s because I’m not really a sandwich kinda gal… and plus Kaimuki is chocked full with good eats that aren’t chain restaurants… no offense Subway! I always get the Spicy Italian sub… salami and pepperoni… how can you go wrong? And it’s also a $ 5 footlong too to boot! They got rid of their daily specials because of corporate… which always brought my husband into Subway in the first place… but sadly, corporate said no to individual franchise specials :(. Anyway, we went there last night because seriously, my baby loves sandwiches and my other baby(my hubby) does too. Everyone at that Subway is really nice and sweet especially, Felvie, the owner. She even comes and helps to make sandwiches when they’re slammed during lunch hour! I guess they deliver too according to their door… anyway, chocolate(their gooeyness gets me everytime) cookies and spicy italian sandwiches are the way to go with me and the only thing that changes is my drink and choice of chips. Nom nom nom!
