So I’ve been in Hawaii for work and I’ve been staying at the Courtyard by Marriott in Waikiki Beach where Spada is located. I ran into a coworker at the restaurant after returning from some adventures and decided to join him on a whim. I’m glad I did! The waiters saw very quickly I joined his table after he had already started and were quick to service. After giving me a menu, I quickly decided and set my menu down. That’s usually a good sign a guest is ready to order and they knew that with how quickly they returned. I ordered off menu by combining spaghetti with the bolognese sauce and adding two meatballs. I also decided I wanted the salcicci pizza to go. They returned in a very timely manner with my meal and it was exactly what I wanted but I forgot to order bread to sop up all the saucy goodness. I asked for a side of bread and it was brought out posthaste. Service was excellent here! After hanging out in my room for a while, I finally decided to eat a slice of pizza cold. Not the best pizza cold but it was edible. So, I warmed up my next slice and it was waaaaaay better! Tip on their leftover pizzas: definitely warm them up. Overall, pretty nice spot. If I happen to try them again and dessert is delicious, I’ll make it 5 stars. Kudos! So, I had that dessert and coffee and it was pretty awesome! I got the tiramisu and cappuccino. Cappuccino was spot on and the tiramisu could have had a bit more liquor but it was excellent regardless!

Went there last night for dinner, upon waiting we were greeted very well until we got our food. The waitress treated us like we had no money. She checked on us twice through out our meal, where the table across had a better service. We as local people from Oahu should be treated like everyone else. It seems if my skin is white we would get a first class service. The restaurant need to send their wait employees to classes on Customer service.

We arrived to Waikiki on Christmas night. We walked to a few recommended spots but all were either closed or reserved so we opted for Spada. We were starving after traveling all day with an empty stomach and gave the restaurant a try regardless of the negative comments. The food was great and the service was good. Our server was Sam and she was on top of our table even with a full restaurant. A little over priced tho … the pepperoni pizza was $ 19 but I gotta give it to them it was damn good. We also had the chicken parmigiana which was one of the best I ever had. The portions are big so in my opinion they are shareable. Christmas dinner was definitely worthwhile.

Wish I could give this place a better rating, as we were excited to try it out. We enjoyed the outside patio atmosphere(except when the outdoor spotlight kept coming on and blinding us during dinner). The wait staff were very friendly and on top of everything. I just have to say that the food was disappointing. The calamari was not very good — seemed overly fried and lacked flavor. We tried the spaghetti and the chicken parmesan. They were okay… but left a lot to be desired. Hopefully they can make improvements to the food, as the location and the back patio are really great.

I wish this place had better reviews/stars because my husband and I tried it out about 3 weeks ago and literally had the BEST experience. The waiter was so nice and accommodating even though it was a busy evening– he allowed me to taste two different wines to see which I liked better since they didn’t have a Riesling which is my typical wine of choice. I went with the Pinot Grigio and ordered the Chicken Pasta with white wine sauce and my husband ordered the Chicken Parmigiana. They were both the most delicious meals we had ever had at an Italian restaurant. Husbands angel hair noodles paired perfectly with the crispy breaded chicken– he ate every single bite of his huge plate. I was surprised at the size of my noodles– they were huge shells and I loved them– they were perfect to cut apart and eat with the chicken, zucchini, squash and other veggies in my dish. We left satisfied and stuffed and have been talking about this place since, so it’s fair to say we will definitely be back again soon!

At first the food was delicious and the portion were good size as all 3 of us took home leftovers. The waiter was friendly and accommodating. The only down side was that it was inside seating but open to the outside with no AC on as it was very humid that day so we asked the waiter and he opened the sliding door to get some air flow. I would recommend this place and would go back.

The chicken pasta is amazing. We also had a meat pasta dish with marinara that was amazing. The bacon wrapped pork chop is hit and miss. For breakfast the grab and go is by far the best. It is a crossaint with ham steak and eggs and coffee for $ 8!

Patio for supper is quiet and delightful. Rigatoni and meatballs big enough for two. Our group had four pasta enters and loved all of them. Calamari ok. Ice cram chic pie and Spinoni were excellent. Great service and nice atmosphere. Make a reservation.

Disclaimer: I’ve owned restaurants so I will NEVER write a negative review since I know how hard it is to try and please everyone. While this was not the cheapest nor the best breakfast I’ve ever had, it was exactly what I was looking for. We are staying at the Courtyard Marriott next door, and wanted to find a quick, no wait restaurant before heading out for the day. Even though IHOP is across the street, we chose Spada for the available seating options(inside and out). They have a morning special which is reasonably priced and comes with coffee(today was a ham, egg and cheese croissant). I had the pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed them(the bacon and hash browns were not the greatest, but I survived). The waitress was kind and attentive, and we will probably be back tomorrow morning for the special.

4 stars only because in my personal review world, 5 has not been birthed. Here I am in Hawaii and this Italian food was amazing. I love a traditional spaghetti(seriously my favorite food since I can remember) and the Spaghetti Pomodoro was close to perfection. The service? I would hire her since my J O B is looking and finding talent. Go here, order the Pomodoro and hopefully win the waitress roulette. One thing, ask for the complimentary house made bread since it is only brought to the table upon request. Ciao, I mean Aloha!

Terrible service. Barely getting a smile, they seem like they do not care. I have eaten there 4 times and all have been similar experiences. The worst was yesterday; I went at 7:45am and asked to be seated outside(6 – 7 tables and all empty). The server(forget her name but she had blonde hair and was the only blonde girl working there) told me(!) to sit inside. I asked, again, to sit outside. She replied«they were reserved». I asked«by who»?(there were no «reserved» signs anywhere). She replied«there is a team that is staying at the hotel and they booked all outside seats». Terrible service. Reluctantly, I sat inside. While I was eating, another couple came in and sat outside… they were elderly and definitely no part of any team… In conclusion, I left at 8:35am and no team showed up. The rest of tables, outside, were empty. Not going back there, ever, again.

I just ordered and my first Question is where is the bread? No really salad options? Did not have any clams? WTF? It took longer to get my desert than my main course? I have already took Away a star down to two

Nice atmosphere, good service, but very mediocre food. I had the seafood medley and it was all flavorless and tough. Friend had the chicken masala and it was way too salty. Add to that no view and you get two stars.

Disclosure: I came here for breakfast IHOP and McDonald’s were both crazy crowded so we stopped in here. The food is standard fare breakfast, be prepared to spend $ 30 or so for two breakfast what would cost you around $ 18 at IHOP. Service was quick and excellent. And their coffee was really good, nothing like the coffee-flavored hot water that IHOP serves. If you don’t want to wait and are willing to shell out a few more bucks, this isn’t a bad place for breakfast. 4-stars for service and 3-stars for the food.

This place was amazing! It’s a good thing I didn’t read the Unilocal reviews or I wouldn’t have come here. Our waitress was very on the ball — we had water as soon as we sat down and she was quick to point out good additions to the menu and explain the specials to us. She even advised us on which dessert to get. She was also the definition of friendly and incredibly attentive. The food was incredible. We had the Christmas set menu — ceasar salad(with a parmesan bowl :-o), scallops, Hawaiian snapper and tiramisu, as well as a lasagna. Oh my, everything was prompt and exceptional. Would not hesitate to come back.

[Breakfast] Very disappointed with the eggs benedict. Eggs were over cooked, yokes solid, and the Hollandaise sauce was broken upon being delivered. Service was slow, and out waitress could not have been more apathetic — clearly she was on permanent Aloha time. She had to he asked multiple times for the same thing. Breakfast BLT was ok and the coconut syrup with pancakes for the kids was pretty good. Honestly, IHOP across the street had better service and food.

[Take-Out] I loved the take-out service here but the flavor of both pizzas were overpriced and missed the mark. It ultimately lacked flavor and made me feel like I could have been better off with Round Table Pizza. Of course since the vacation girl in me said to try other places, this one is probably not one that I would go. Unfortunately, I was more bothered by the price and lack of flavor, I feel bad for giving this place a 2 star. Every bite I took, I was really concerned about how salty they were… it wasn’t what I would really imagine from a place like this. The truffle oil was overwhelming as well and overpowered the prosciutto. When I took a bite of the salsicci, the sausage lacked flavor and the cheese was too salty. Service was great! The staff was extremely friendly and the food came out right on time and I practically walked in with my PJs! Perhaps I would try other things on their menu other than pizzas. From walking to our hotel every morning, their breakfast looked not too shabby. Dishes ordered: Salsicci pizza, Arugula Prosciutto pizza

When we have Waikiki nights with the family, I always pass by this place on my way to Marukame Udon. On our nexts Waikiki outing, I decided to check out this place. Just me and the hubby! :0) our date night! No reservations, just walk in– we sat outside, restaurant wasn’t busy on a Friday night. Our waiter I think was a bartender, at the bar who took our order. seems like it– but I may be wrong I think this is a bit strange… We didn’t get great service! & on to the food, we got the calamari fritter, chicken parm, & chicken marsala. Calamari was nothing to write about, calamari was hard, could tell it was frozen, the batter was soggy and the marinara sauce was not the best. Our food, wasn’t even mediocre. Food did not taste like authentic Italian The free bread taste old! I love Italian food & I would always tell my hubby — this is authentic ! but I can’t say it after eating this food as it wasn’t even close to authentic. & microwave Lean Cuisine frozen meal taste so much better than this. I am so sorry Spada! I didn’t see a manager on duty at all, I really wanted to share my thoughts with him. So we do have leftovers and we took it with us, as we walked in to Waikiki to stop at Cheesecake factory to get us cheesecake, my hubby left the leftovers for the homeless on Kalakaua. What a waste of $$ ! but me & hubby had a nice time together.

This restaurant is part of the Courtyard Marriott as we got vouchers for breakfast here as an elite member. This review is only for breakfast. It is a nice place and throughout the week, the staff got to know us. They offer simple American breakfast items that are quality, but come out quickly. The toast is nice and thick and toasted the right amount. The bacon is thin and also not over cooked, crispy, not black. The sausage is standard, but that is the only average thing about this place. We would always sit by the front and birds would come wandering in looking for scraps and the staff(and my daughter) would always chase them off.

Went here for a quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. They have both outdoor and indoor seating(outdoor seating with large umbrellas). We didn’t wait as long to get an outdoor seating; however, they didn’t have a specific server manning the area. After a 5 minute wait of waiting for someone to approach the front of the restaurant we had finally seated ourselves. The lady that stated we can seat ourselves was kind to get us our waters right away. It took a while to order though, which was disappointing. The food came out after 10 minutes and I had the Eggs Benedict with side of potatoes. It was. okay. I’ve had tastier Eggs Benedict on the island. We didn’t have a specific server designated to us. I would have to rate the service as a 2⁄5 and the food 1⁄5. I would like to try their dinner. Stay tuned for an updated review.
