Massively priced massage. There are much better alternatives in and around Waikiki.
We had booked a 2hr massage for my wife and I.
Booking handled well. Then some more communication, as they have 2 locations and wanted to ensure we were coming to the correct one.
Easy enough to find.
Pros:
— solid massage by both therapists. They obviously have experience and know what they are doing.
Cons:
— the room in which we were massaged was so small that our therapists had to move the tables (with us on top)… Very claustrophobic.
— during the entire massage, I was wondering how those poor therapists were managing. Not ideal to let go and relax.
— the pricing was completely out of normal range. More than $ 600 for 2*2hr massages… Tips automatically included in the bill…
I do not recommend. There are a lot of better alternatives in and around Waikiki.

Being on a budget, I only booked a 30-​minute massage. The woman at the desk inquired as to what areas I wanted to focus on and when my massage therapist, Roger, came up, he also inquired. I have fibromyalgia, scoliosis and spondylolisthesis, so my back (upper and lower) are a priority, plus I’ve had a painful problem with my left leg for over a month. Roger started with an amazing dry massage, pressing and stretching my back muscles so intuitively, it was like he could feel exactly what my back wanted, especially the twisted part. He gave my back a wonderful massage then started on my left leg. Again, intuitively, he pinpointed exactly where it’s been hurting and causing me such difficulty walking. He worked and worked and worked in several different ways and it’s now feeling so much better! Much of the pain is released and I’m not limping right now! It was all so good that I extended the massage another 15 minutes, which he used for the other leg and my arms, all just fabulous. Periodically, he’d ask how I was doing, if the pressure was OK, etc. He didn’t talk too much, but just enough to be sure I was comfortable.
Afterward, I had a very delicious cooling cup of fragrant fruit-​infused tea. The desk manager showed me the price, with the tax and suggested gratuity; all very clear. (I added more to the gratuity.) My leg is feeling so much better, I just wish that I’d gone to Roger the first day that I arrived. I have two days left here and they’ll be much better now!

I had a truly healing and wonderful experience at Spa Pure, and I highly recommend it. I have only good things to say– top quality service, beautiful spa environment, and unique offerings. I had the Ganban yoku steam bath which was very relaxing and magically got rid of the pain I was having in my sacrum, as well as the ocean massage. I have heard of Watsu therapy and massages in water, but this was my first experience with anything like that. It was absolutely incredible– I got to completely surrender and be stretched, massaged, and swirled around the private warm pool. Honestly, I would do that every day if I could. Blissful and deep healing are the best ways to describe my experience at Spa Pure.

Came here with my Wife and Godfather to treat them to a spa day. I called and a women told me to come right in and too my surprise the doors were locked. Apparently there is one worker, so I don’t know why she said three of us could get a massage. We waited for an hour to talk to someone. I don’t know how one worker would give three massages, wasted our time. Wasn’t an impressive looking office either. Hotel looked great though.

I had the «Round the World in 2 hours» package, and I must say it is the most amazing and healing experience possible in two hours! It is the best deal to really experience the specialty of this unique spa. It started off with the «Ocean Massage» in a warm salt water pool so you have privacy and don’t need to worry about waves crashing over your head so I could really relax and feel safe. My body immediately felt at ease in this water and found out that Dennis has an unique style from his background as a dancer and yoga instructor. Felt like a leaf flowing down a river into another universe. It was like being back in the womb and connecting with the flow of the energy of the water. All the while I was getting massages and stretches at the same time. It is hard to explain and you just have to experience it. It was truly magical!
Things only got better… next was the massage which was a combination of lomi lomi, shiatsu and more… I tried to talk at first and it was clear that I was to let go and really just get into the massage. The table was covered with the softest sheets and the blanket that covered me was just as soft. Super comfy and warm. Usually when I get a massage I get lines all over my face. Somehow, the cradle and the cover they use is so soft that I looked normal after my massage. Dennis knew exactly where my tight spots were and worked his magic again. Calgon take me away!!!
As you know, our skin is the largest detox organ so to finish off this session at the ganban yoku heated marble steam bed was the icing on the cake. It is the only one in Hawaii too. I could smell the refreshing peppermint and herbal mixture from the steam. As I lay there under the dome, the marble bed heated up my spine. I had a tailbone injury years ago, so this really hit the spot. The stretches and massages from the ocean massage and massage prepared my body and I could feel my body was ready to release a lot of toxins. Boy, did a lot of sweat and toxins come pouring out of my body! It is impossible to get this deep kind of release from sitting in a sauna.
Lastly, I got to shower off in a huge double shower. I totally lost track of time and it felt like I had not only been around the world, but I went out into the universe and back. I have been to spas in major resorts and although this spa only has 3 rooms the results of the combinations of services is something I have not experienced anywhere else than Spa Pure. My body is in a state of PURE bliss!.

The «Ocean Massage» with Dennis is a dream. It is the most enveloping, deeply healing experience I’ve had in any massage, anywhere. (And I’ve had many, many massages.)
The massage is in a pool, not in the ocean, so no need to worry about waves or creatures or sand. My ears end up below the surface of the water, so all I can hear is gentle swishing. The whole vibe is womb-​like; my body surrenders to the floating almost immediately, and I’m completely immersed in the smooth rhythm of Dennis’ expert guidance through the water.
As an experienced yoga teacher and former dancer, I know that any kind of relaxation work is cooperative. This is especially true of this unique type of massage. The more I release, the better it all feels. If I’m tense and stubborn with control, it’s not a great feeling. Letting go is difficult at first, especially mentally, but when I can finally breathe into it and kinda go limp, Dennis can really do his magical ocean massage thing.
Final words: it’s like flotation therapy, but even better.

I originally set up my reservation at Spa Pure through email, and I was able to book my 2.5 hour session and was told that the total price would be $ 390. Once we showed up, we were told it would a different price than what was quoted, but after pulling up the email they agreed to take $ 30 dollars off. Be advised that there is 18% gratuity that is added on to your bill, something we were unaware of until after the fact (read the fine print on the website). Totally not worth it. Although the Ocean Massage was unique and amazing, the other services fell short of what I would expect after paying close to $ 500 after tax and gratuity. During the «spacious couples soak tub» at the end, we were given watered down ice tea and some frozen Walmart mini eclairs, definitely not the romantic image I had pictured for our honeymoon. Lastly, as we were leaving i grabbed one of the pamphlets that was displayed outside of the spa which showed different prices then what they were currently charging. The prices at this establishment had changed, and the employee that booked our original appt failed to inform us before arriving that the prices had gone up, but at least we got the discount when we mentioned it. This place was incredibly disappointing with the exception of the ocean massage, I will be hesitant at booking such events through Marriott again.

Worst professional massage I’ve ever had :(I’ve had many and this one felt like she was just going through the motions. I booked a couples massage A’s my boyfriend said the same thing. It was worth a 20 $ massage at the most. The last at the front desk was very sweet and attentive the sauna was awesome and she was good about being attentive and explanatory.
The massage girls sucked… if you go here I would definitely recommend the sauna treatment. But as far as massage your better off running up against a tree

This is a horrible spa. The staff are rude and unprofessional. I emailed them in advance to confirm that I can take a shower and was told that I can, they even told me that I can come early. But when I actually showed up early, the staff made it obvious that she didn’t welcome me, I was told to take a shower between GanbanYoku and massage, so I asked her if I can take a full shower after the massage, she said yes. However, after the massage she started telling me to hurry up and pretty much kicked me out. They don’t even have a hair dryer, so I asked her if there’s a blow bar in the area, she didn’t understand me and I asked if there is a hair salon in the area, she was like «it’s not that common in Waikiki. «I explained this frustrating situation to the hotel and they were nice enough to let me use their hospitality room to dry my hair.
I emailed them about my disappointing experience with them, but they just said I took too long and didn’t even apologize.
Go somewhere else, you can easily find better spas.

Pretty awesome. This was in our hotel so my boyfriend and I figured, why not, and got a couples massage the day we were supposed to fly back to frigid, snowy, Chicago. So glad we did.
The steam thing that you start off on was my least favorite, but I don’t do well with heat. But then once we rinsed off, got into robes it was time for our hour long massages side-​by-​side which was just awesome. Then we got to hop in a nice bath with some iced tea to end it all. We left feeling like a couple of wet rags and it was lovely.
Overall, the massage felt great but the atmosphere was a little odd, not really all that spa-​like, but it was definitely good for the price.

This is as good as it gets for the excellent price! My girlfriend and I went for a 2.5 hour couple special and it was fabulous. They are very sweet and the massage was excellent. Very relaxing day for two kamaaina who wanted to enjoy a nice holiday massage without having to pay the overpriced Wakiki spa prices.
Would definitely return!

Took my wife on our anniversary for the couples package based on the great reviews. I really hoped our experience would turn out the same but came away feeling like we didn’t get our money’s worth especially since they make you pay up front and include an 18% gratuity.
Sad to say we wont be back.

This place was AMAZING! Came here to treat my friend to a spa day for his birthday and this place blew me away! I got the couples special that includes a personal sauna/​steamer to get the toxins out the body and our choice of a full hr table massage or half on table half in the pool. I highly recommend do the half and half, the pool massage was so relaxing i fell asleep. I was like floating in air! Money worth spending, cant wait to do it again!!!

I had a lovely experience here! The massage was amazing and the sauna after was delightful. Very sweet and attentive service.
Extremely reasonable prices.

I just had one of the best massages ever at this place. My friend and I both started with the Ganban Yoku (hot stone tables) and then had a 50 minute massage. We both agree… It was all awesome. The staff is extremely nice and the facility is calm and clean. My skin feels amazing from the Ganban Yoku. And to top it all off they give you the most delicious fresh brewed lemon tea when you’re done.

Husband and I bought the couple package. The only time we were together were where they had us in some oven-​like stone heat thing for about 15 mins. Then they separated us. I got my massage first while the husband got his «ocean massage» (which btw their service sounded more fancy than it is.) After that husband and I switched place, then we ended up in the «hot tube» (which was just a regular bath tub)
The «ocean massage» was ridiculous, so they have you change into a robe than have you walk to the back of the hotel you have to cross the driveway where a few ppl and valet guys look at you, then you get to this locked Marriott private pool and have a one on one massage session with an employee that seem like she hated her job. Since her hands were tied up massaging me she just coughed all over me.
After the «ocean» experience you have to then come back, cross the driveway with ppl and valet guys looking at you than back to the spa.
I find nothing relaxing about this. But my husband tried to book us a nice place and I just made the best out of it.
Oh and when the lady (that booked us and massaged us) explained the service before, she made it sound all relaxing and romantic. You get tea and desserts, that’s what she said.
By the time we got all done and were in the «hot tub» we got some tea and two frozen eclairs. False advertisement, not worth the money! I’ll give her 1 star for the massage since I can’t do half a star.

The girlfriend & I recently had our first spa experience here at Spa Pure. The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. During our visit, we had the couple package with Ganban-​yoku, 60 minute massage, and a soak. All was excellent, though next time I think we’ll go with just massages. My only gripe was the fact that you could hear the kids in the nearby hotel pool yelling and screaming, as well as all the street noise. That detracted a little from what was otherwise a nice, relaxing experience.

I came to Spa Pure in 2009 and it was a memorable experience for sure. It was my first time going to a day spa. Since I can’t compare it with any previous spa experiences, I’ll leave the rating at 4-​stars (instead of 5) FOR NOW.
I treated my then-​boyfriend to a $ 400-​something couples spa package that included the Ganban-​yoku treatment, 30-​min massage, 30-​min ocean massage (pool), and a soak in the hot tub with iced tea. Service was excellent and the interior was absolutely beautiful. The woman working there was very sweet and explained everything to us clearly. All 4 components of the couples package were very «zen», relaxing, and romantic, but my favorite was the Ganban-​yoku bath. It’s worth looking up on their website if you’re considering coming here, and if I ever have the luxury of going back, I’d go just for the Ganban-​yoku treatment!
An extra surprise I found was Carolyn Quan’s digital artwork displayed on the spa walls. FYI, Carolyn is one of my favorite artists and recent mentors. Seeing her works there truly made me smile!

Poor customer service. They would not honor the full value of my gift certificates and just gave me half of the value. Did I mention that they were only 2 days past the experation date. The lady who booked my appointment was the manager, I asked to speak with the owner and she said they were away (like off island). Needless to say, their customer service sucks and it’s kind of hard to enjoy the service (simple pleasure), when you feel you’re not getting the full value of the certificate.
She said that since the certificates were a promotion, the company wasn’t making any money and the company was footing all of the labor. Duh? You get advertised via the media, you promote the business via half price certificates, client comes in, tries the spa, enjoys it and hopefully returns, paying full value upon the next visit. That’s usually how the certificate works. Yet, the manager gave me a half hour sob story on how much money she was losing via these certificates and she had no clue how these certificates work. You would think, a business would sign a contract and know what they were getting themselves into. Needless to say, I’ll go get the treatment, good or bad, I won’t be returning. Customer service here sucks and I know better spas that are cheaper and have awesome customer service… Too bad, I have to give them one star, they really deserve no stars… They suck!!! If you’re a local, stay away, there is no «Aloha,» served here… They just have tourist, who don’t know any better…
