Vietnamese owned flower shop. Guess the family thinks they can talk trash about the customer in Vietnamese and the customer won’t understand. I went here to buy flowers on Mother’s Day. The arrangement cost $ 25 and I paid with all $ 1 dollar bills. The girl was complaining to her mother about it being all dollar bills in Vietnamese. I called her out on it and asked if it was problem and she tried to cover it up like she wasn’t talking sh! t. I’ll never buy from them again because if they were complaining about me I’m sure they complain about all their customers

Good variety, and they take credit card. That is all I ask for in life!

No Aloha spirit her! Customer service on a late Friday morning is abysmal. I repeat: fail! Seems to be more important to eat saimen and watch Korean dramas on tv(in Chinatown) than to help a customer who wants to buy some flowers. Business is now going down da street and around the corner.

I was pricing different lei for a gift at Lina’s Lei & Flowers this morning and asked male individual(probably the owner — he’s always there, not friendly) to show me certain lei, since a sign on each refrigerator door says to ask for assistance/don’t open door. He helped me at first, then didn’t acknowledge me when I asked to see other lei. Thought maybe he just didn’t hear me. Finally when I asked to see another lei to decide between one that was $ 15 and another at $ 18, he said he did not have the time to show me more lei and mumbled something about me wanting to buy a cheap lei. He then motioned to a female employee to help me. By that time, I was shocked at his comments and that he really didn’t give a rat’s ass about making a sale, all the time ignoring me while he continued to arrange his cut flowers. Told him I was disappointed since I always buy lei from Lina’s, but will now stop going there and, being a bit pissed at being treated this way, would spread the word to not patronize his shop. He basically responded ‘go ahead — I don’t care’. What!?? Really?!! Truly — I was ready to buy a lei from Lina’s and was neither being picky nor trying to irritate anyone. I was also the ONLY customer in the store. But after experiencing this weird attitude/vibe first thing in the morning, I vow to never return to Lina’s. They are now at the bottom of my list. Trying to salvage my morning, I drove down Maunakea Street to Cindy’s Lei Stand(kama’aina at best!), bought a beautiful lei and was treated with much more aloha.(Note: This is not a plug for Cindy’s, but what a difference in customer service.) Buy local! Bottom line: service/attitude at Lina’s Lei & Flowers suck. Also, buyer beware — he may/may not tell you that some of his lei are old, which is reason for reduced price.

The shop gave me a great deal on a dozen red roses arranged very pretty with baby’s breath, all in a vase. The girl I got them for loved how big the roses and stems are, how great they smelled and the overall arrangement for a relatively inexpensive price. They were very understanding even though I reserved them pretty last minute, they still reserved a great bouquet for me. I’ve also been getting my leis and other flowers, for when I visit loved ones, from there the last 2 years. Same review; great price for great service with a wonderful wide selection. Can’t beat shopping local, as the shopkeepers not only live in Hawaii but also live in the Neighborhood. This is the best and my favorite lei shop in Hawaii. They do a good job for any occasion, but shined especially for me on Valentine’s Day.

When it comes to buying leis, you inevitably will find yourself making your way to Chinatown. Yet, where to go? There are so many shops that seem to line Maunakea street and they all seem identical. When you ask your friends or family which shop to go to, each has their preference. For me, my vote is Lina’s. Why, you might ask? Well, read the rest of this review and you’ll understand why. The leis are always fresh and really nice. Whether you are looking for your staples such as an orchid lei or something more special, they are bound to have something for that special occasion. If you are looking for something specific, you might want to call ahead and try to order something or reserve a special lei. Prices are rather reasonable and service is good. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. So ask questions, not too many of course. When it comes to leis, Lina’s is my spot that I go to! Plus…the loading zone parking out front makes getting in and out pretty quick!

Prettiest Leis we saw the whole time we were in Hawaii. Lina not only showed us which ones smelled the best, but showed us the right way to wear them. We bought two leis from her and she threw in a bag of flowers as well. Prices were great.

Lina’s is located on the corner of Maunakea(Ewa side) and Beretania(makai). It’s always convenient since there’s either metered parking or the loading zone right out front. Service is quick, prices are average — all Chinatown lei shops are cheaper than hitting up Longs or Safeway, etc.
