Wish I would have read more reviews before I came here. Nothing has flavor! Added salt, still nothing. Not coming back!

Quick & cheap local kine grindz, but seating is always bad & staff not very kind. Food is good(3.5) not amazing, but to be expected with the speed.

Okay so I love a great value which this place has… but don’t like eating my food while people are waiting in line next to my table…, or sitting in a booth that’s connected to the next table… dude is blowing his nose next to me and my steak that has no seasoning on it… they bring the food out dish by dish so by the time the whole tables food is there the first dish brought out is cold… these people need to step their game up

Service is still fast. Food is NOLONGER priced right because the portions stayed the same. Sadly, this is the last time I’m coming here. I’ll take the extra effort to go elsewhere for a quick breakfast. The coffee hadn’t improved but it’s a diner not a coffee shop. The ice water is free but tastes like tap. Either the ice was made from tap or the water is tap or both. The coffee was also made with tap. DONOT order scrambled eggs. They really skimp on the portion. Better yet, don’t get the Trio breakfast plate. The portions barely cover half the plate.

This place was packed this morning and there was a line of about 8 people in front of me, but they processed orders like an assembly line. I ordered their number 1 special of the morning which was the steak, mushrooms and cheese omelette. It came with rice and I ate my buddies home fries. The omelette and rice was enough! I didn’t finish the rice or home fries as a result. The omelette was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed eating outside. Our orders were delivered to our table in minutes after ordering which is a plus if you’re rushing back to work or just in a hurry. Everyone was personable at the restaurant and absolutely no one understood my buddies dry sense of awkward humor. They did laugh nervously which was very courteous of them. This is a good breakfast spot and an even better place if you are in s hurry but still want some good home-style breakfast food, Hawaiian style. It beats Denny’s and IHOP!

I can only give this place stars for the food but the service severely ruined the experience. It was my first time trying this place because I heard it was good. The menu was easy to follow and I ordered a loco moco. When it was my boyfriend’s turn to order, he started ordering and then the cashier just walked away from the register and pushed someone else to take his order. So he had to repeat himself because this cashier wasn’t there to hear him. The previous cashier didn’t excuse herself or anything. Just walked away, started doing other things and chit chatting with other workers. Not a very polite or friendly staff at all. I asked for water and they never mentioned the water was to the side by the drink machine. It would’ve at least been nice to point that out since we were first time customers. Then the girl that brought our food out was yelling back to her coworkers to make sure it was our order. Not sure why they bother giving you a number. On the bright side, my loco moco was good. My boyfriend liked his waffle. So I’ll know for next time that the food is good but I shouldn’t expect good service here.

One day, looking for a place to have breakfast, we were pointed to Koa Pancake House by our son, who lives in the area. The restaurant is in the Moanalua Shopping Center, around the corner from Ruby Tuesday. As with its other three locations, customers walk up to the counter and place their order, then take their assigned number holder and scramble to find a seat(it can get quite crowded at times). I’d already tried their Kaimuki restaurant, where I had some pretty bad eggs benedict. So of course, I didn’t order that this time around. I ordered Mahimahi and Eggs. Can’t go wrong with that, unless the fish is overcooked. The fish was overcooked, as were the eggs. The presentation was pretty average, and could have used a touch of green(parsley, green onions). After the one strike in Kaimuki, I was a bit wary. This now makes two strikes. I think I’ll stop with that.

Came here with my wife to get a quick bite to eat for breakfast. When we walked in, we were a bit nervous that this may be a local hot spot but the food would be mediocre. My wife was the one that ordered. She got eggs, Portuguese sausage and pancakes. I had a coffee. I was not fond of their coffee. It was too bold for me and I couldn’t get it light or sweet enough to my liking. The eggs were okay, nothing special and she at about half of it. The sausage were delicious and I could have eaten tons more. The pancakes were definitely the best item. Soft, fluffy and amazing. I guess that’s why they call themselves a pancake house. It is definitely worth coming here for the pancakes. They also have crepes which I will definitely try the next time I come. Seating is very simple, a bunch of sit yourself open tables inside and some outside. The place does get packed and I believe it is a combination of the price and the pancakes. Enjoy!

Always friendly and fast service here. The food is just as good. My favorite here is mahi with eggs, perfect food to start the day.

The food here is always good, but it’s just not kept as clean as I would expect it to be. The pancakes are large and tasty, the crepes are tasty and the portions are big. The bacon was crispy, the food was quickly delivered, and the people were very kind. I would rate this place a 4/5, but the restroom was STANK. I mean — Hey Shaniqua– you’ve got a seagull following you kinda stank. There was clutter on the floors for nearly 45 minutes before someone pointed the trash and food out. I think that’s the point. Someone had to point it out — it’s a restaurant. It’s the job of the operators to keep it clean, and quickly.

I kept hearing that this place was the bomb dot com. I decided to try it out since I wasn’t in the mood to cook. Since it was Saturday morning, there were open parking spots. The windows of the restaurant are all tinted so you can’t see inside. Upon entering, I realized it wasn’t a sit down and order type of place. We ordered at the counter and received a number so we could sit down. There were a few empty tables inside so we didn’t bother to see what the outside looked like. Our drinks were ready right away. I got chocolate milk but realized after taking the lid off the Styrofoam cup, I should have stuck with water. It appeared to be hot chocolate powder mixed in milk. We waited about 5 minutes before the food arrived. We both got short stack pancakes. I got the macadamia nut ones. They were okay but would have been way better with coconut syrup. We also decided we could have shared one order since the pancakes were the size of the plate. I also got home fried potatoes that were on the cold side and no flavor. He got scrambled eggs that seem to be out of a box and Portuguese sausage. It is a small little spot and you can order take out. Next time I’d rather go to Ihop.

Crazy good food! We got mahi with eggs, the portuguese omelette, eggs benedict, pancakes, and sweet bread french toast. It was all top quality. The French toast was fluffy, the fish tasted like it was swimming that same morning, and the eggs benedict were so beautiful we hardly wanted to eat! The prices are great as well. The line went out the door from the moment we got in to when we left. We literally heard them call out 70 orders in the half hour we were here.

This pancake eatery was located at the moanaloa shopping center. My sweetie and I were walking around trying to decide on what to eat. We stopped in ten minutes before they were closed for the day. We perused the menu quickly. I ordered the lunch plate of bbq chicken, home potatoes with a salad. My sweetie had banana pancakes and a bacon egg and cheese omelette. The food took about 5 – 10 minutes for takeout. As for my meal it was ok. The chicken was overly sweet and fatty. Some of the potatoes were undercooked and the salad was just a bunch of lettuce thrown into a container. Can’t expect much since we placed our order 20 minutes before the kitchen shut down for the day. My honey loved his banana pancakes. I actually tasted some and it was very very good. It was light fluffy and melted in your mouth! He did say his omelette was nothing special. The soft drinks were pretty pricy for 3 bucks a pop for regular size. To me this just reminded me of an IHOP but Asian infused

Ate here a few times while in town for business. Food was very good and prices were very reasonable, especially for HI. I had an omelette one day, and eggs/bacon/pancakes the next. They give you nice portions for the money. Service is pretty good.

This place gets CROWDED on Sunday mornings. This is conveniently located for those living in the Salt Lake area so that is a plus for me. I love their waffles, pancakes, and Portuguese sausage but I wanted to try something different so I got a breakfast omelet that had spinach, mushroom, cheese, and Portuguese sausage. It was good but it was not like«oh my gah i gotta have this again’ kine. I think next time I will stick to either the pancakes, waffles, or meat and rice section. This place is a good sit down and eat breakfast place — you will get stuffed since their servings are decent. The only reason I rate it A-OK is because their prices are a bit pricey for breakfast and for an OK meal. If the food was more awesome then I would say the price is ok. Breakfast, personally, shouldn’t be too pricey.

We stopped in here for a quick breakfast before headed out for the day. Seeing that they were jam packed we asked for our order to go, and figured we would eat at home if a table didn’t open(lucky for us one outside did about thirty seconds before our order was up). We ordered a short stack of the red velvet pancakes, an order of french toast and a side of bacon. I’ve seen other reviews mention that there’s lots of options for syrups but I didn’t see them when I was at the counter or looking around. The cashier who took our order was very friendly and even offered a cup of whipped cream to go with my pancakes which I happily accepted. Our food came out pretty quickly, however i was pretty unimpressed with the red velvet pancakes. They didn’t taste any different to me than other pancakes, but they were fluffy so that hit the spot. My husband enjoyed his french toast and the bacon was cooked perfectly, a task I’ve yet to master. I would definitely go back to try some other items on the menu, just not the red velvet pancakes.

We thought we’d give this place a try before our drive out to the country. The parking lot was full when we arrived but managed to snag a stall fairly quickly. It didn’t look full from the outside until we walked in. There was a line and the place was packed. Inside is not that big with long bench seating on the right and two rows of tables. There’s outside seating too but around the morning time you will be hit hard by the sun. We both had the eggs benedict and shared a short stack of banana pancakes. The eggs for the benedict were poached perfect. The hollandaise sauce was just shy of perfect but still great nonetheless. The potatoes were a huge portion too. I really don’t care for the slice of turkey that it comes with either. I don’t know when that started happening but the Canadian bacon is fine alone. The banana pancakes were perfect. Soft and spongy not cake like where it breaks into pieces. They were more know the thick side too. Customer service was good and waiting for our order didn’t take long. I’ll be coming back here again. maybe a little earlier too.
