Drinks on the beach! Yes please… You must try their Mai Tais. Everything is reasonably priced and the bartender is friendly. Everyone nearby stops by here to buy a drink, whether its a bottled water, soda or adult beverage. There are a few tables and chairs but not many… so take your drinks with you to the beach. Remember to tip. Drinking and surfing doesn’t mix well together… so take it easy.

This place is normally Great! The usual person, that I think is the owner, was not there today. And today there was a local looking person who is an ass! He obviously hates his job and the people that frequent the Kao Oasis. If you see him, stay away. I used to be an avid supporter of this beachside bar but, this experience has soured my opinion! It’s too bad for the owner, he is doing a disservice to the people that were loyal and promoted this place. His middle finger pointing at me as I left told me all I needed to know about him. What a loser!

I just found out about this place a few weeks ago, but I am sure I have walked by it a hundred times. This place is great, if you can find a table. It is either packed or empty, and much like the traffic on the H-1, the level of activity is totally inexplicable. There are many awesome attributes of this establishment; it is located right in the middle of Waikiki Beach; the people watching is the best on the island; big and cheap beers/drinks; and, last but not least, they give a military discount. Sadly, there are a few things that detract from the experience. The line for beers can get very, very long. The gentleman behind the bar is in no hurry, and you can be left waiting more than 20 minutes. I have also seen him get up and leave, presumably to take a shit, and leave the window closed for 15 – 20 minutes. Basically, you better not be in a rush when you come here. If you have the time, I recommend this quaint little spot for some beers, views, and good times.

Great location… but when the bartender has to sit down to ring you in its pretty sad.

This is a great bar with a beautiful view. The bartenders are all very nice. Their good from the snackbar leaves a lot to be desired. And I’ve also had a better Mai tai but you can’t beet the location or the prices especially if you’re in the military

Have some drinks and watch the waves crash. Great drinks and adequately priced for the area. Even save a $ 1 if you have an active Military ID! Note: don’t plan on watching the sunset as this place closes before then!

Nice spot for cheap beer and tropical drinks. You get a discount with military ID. Great spot for people watching.
