Kapalama Shopping Center

This mall contains two places that I really enjoy eating at: Ahi & Vegetable and Violet’s Grille. I like Ahi & Vegetable because of all of its healthy and yummy choices. I really don’t think that you can go wrong here with anything you choose. Violet’s Grille is delicious because of their daily grilled local fish special sets and their Oxtail soup! So yummy! Another place that is starting to grow on me is Wingstop. There is also the standard local favorite of Zippy’s.
Since their recent renovations, this mall looks so nice. It was in desperate need of a facelift and finally got the improvements it needed. Everything looks so modern and clean.
Besides the places that I mentioned above, there are a lot of other businesses including but not limited to a laundry mat, a Korean BBQ restaurant, and a jewelry store.
Parking is plentiful with dozens of stalls in the center of the shopping center.

Kapalama shopping center is one of many centers in the Kalihi area. It is located on Dillingham Blvd in between Waiakamilo street and the HCC campus.
First off, I’d like to say that they did a pretty good job on fixing up this shopping center!
They did a major renovation and a much needed face lift to this old shopping center. If you haven’t been here in over 2 years then you would trip out on the changes that they have made to this center. They re-​did everything, from the building’s structure to the parking lot. They repaved the entire lot and also added a few plants and tree decors to beautify the whole center. You probably wouldn’t even recognize it if you hadn’t seen the finished project yet, that’s how drastic the changes are. But it’s a really nice, clean and up to date place now, thanks to the renovation.
Many new stores, businesses and eateries have opened up here. A few old ones stayed. Zippy’s which has been in here for many many years is still located in this center. There’s also the likes of Ahi & Vegetable and Elvin’s Bakery to name a few.
