Strip mall containing an eclectic bunch of businesses. IE Office Depot, Foodland, Rent A Center, L&L etc. I believe there’s also a dental office here. Parking can be a real problem. A lot of the parking on the Ewa end is reserved parking for employees thus depriving the public of stalls.

Today I ventured out to the Kalihi area due to the fact that my boyfriend had a meeting to attend to. While he was in his meeting, I decided to take my daughter out and kill time at this«plaza». Finding parking wasn’t so bad. It’s crowded but if your not lazy theres parking towards the back side. I dont know if I came on the wrong day or what, but there was a few homeless/crack heads roaming around here. Which made me feel a little uneasy. For one they kept talking to me and trying to touch my daughter! Then there was a filipino lady harassing me to donate money to some kind of charity. I told her I did’nt have change on me so once I got out of price busters I’d donate something. But instead of compromising with me she bluntly said«I know you have some money on you, dont’ be selfish!» It took alot for me not to snap and bring out the inner ewa beach tita in me! LOL! but whatever. I went to price busters bought a snack for my daughter and gave $ 5 to her. Anyways the place smelt horribly of urine and seemed really unsanitary. I’ve been here a few times and I know not to expect much from here but today seemed like a bad day to come here. Not to mention the bunch of people that was on the side of Office Depot gambling and arguing over who won! This place is ok, good use a good cleaning and maybe a security to keep the weirdos out.

You can never find parking here during the day time. It’s always packed. If you can’t find parking in the main lot you gotta go on the other side. I guess it’s because they have some key places that people go to a lot like LnL’s, Savers, Pricebusters, Yummy’s, Foodland, etc. It’s actually a pretty nice combination of businesses all lined up if you think about it. There’s a convenience store, thrift/department store, eating place, grocery supermarket place, etc. Very affordable and money friendly combination of places. What more can you ask for. They have a Taste of Kalihi Festival over here every year which makes it a pretty good area for a block party. Right across of Colburn St. you also have the gas station, Popeye’s, Sizzlers, etc. All in the heart of Kalihi. Unilocal 365 Challenge #89/365

ghetto skuzzy people who bang into your car or wedge their enormous bodies between you and the aisles at Foodland.

I use to frequent this place as my old job was located in the building. I must say… I spent about 6 years there. Foodland for lunch or a quick something to munch on while in the office. There is also yummy’s korean BBQ and aloha sushi(i think it’s still aloha sushi). I really didn’t eat a lot at LNL. and don’t forget Pricebuster! Perfect place to get a last minute gift for a coworker. LOL. Parking– well the last two rows were reserved and parking was a pain in the butt. This is the place that I got majority of the dents that are on my car. Yes it’s pretty squishy. The security guy there… Tony, he’s cool. LOL. Those who know Tony… knows what he did frequently. haha.
