K-TV Hawaii

I arrived here with my friends just to hang out in the Karaōke room. We arrived and were approached with a lady who told us that they do not charge per hour but by each song. (The machine took $ 1 per song) so we went in and were constantly bothered every 20 – 30 minutes if we wanted to order food. Each time we told them no and we weren’t hungry. The last time a guy came in and asked if we were sure we didn’t want to order anything, I told him we just got back from dinner, he came back 10 minutes later and told us that they charge $ 20 per hour and my friends I were confused because we were clearly told that they do not charge per hour. We immediately got up and left but we’re still charged with $ 20, on the receipt he just typed out «$ 20.00» and showed it to us. I think that they decided to charge us because not only are we only 18, but we weren’t ordering anything from them and they decided to take advantage of that. If it wasn’t already late I would have argued but we called it a day and left. I am no longer coming back.

Never trust this place. All of my cash was taken from me within a matter of minutes. You would think you could trust the manager to watch your items in a private room for a few minutes, but that was a massive mistake; not only did my money get taken from me, they accused me of staging the whole incident. I would call the cops, but a whole room of gangsters came out and threatened my life. Trust me, find any other place other than this scam-​artist breeding ground for your night, that is if you value your hard-​earned money and your own well-​being. Visit at your own risk.
And just so you know, I only made this account to post this review to warn potential victims.

ATTENTION UnilocalERS: K-​TV IS NOW LOCATED IN PANDORA CAFE!
The lease for K-​TV Hawaii was taken over by their next door neighbor, Pandora Café. If you’ve tried calling them, you’ll notice that the number dials Pandora Café.
Pandora Café utilizes the same rooms (I think they mentioned that they’ve added more rooms) and there is no cost to reserve a room. However, each song is $ 1 and it is no longer BYOB. There is a full bar in Pandora Café to order drinks from.

A number of my coworkers enjoy karaōke as much as I do, so we found ourselves here. K-​TV Hawaii is a bit of a ways from the main Waikiki strip – about an $ 8 cab ride. There is what appears to be a café at the front with some pool tables. The karaōke rooms are tucked away in the back, but you can definitely hear them when you enter. They had a decent song selection and of course the option for Chinese, Korean, Japanese, etc karaōke. Instead of paying by the hour, you pay $ 1 per song through a machine that’s hooked up w/​the equipment. They do expect you to order a lot of drinks and such though, which we didn’t so we got hassled by the owner a little.

It seems like their microphone does not work very well for most of the reviewers. I went here with my friends only to find out that our microphone never worked. Spent about 10 minutes doing nothing while they try to fix it.
The songs they have is at least 2 months older. Dont expect to sing any current songs.
service may be good but the maintenance of the equipment and the rooms are horrible. this is why you do not hire kids to work who has no attachment to their workplace. There is no reason for them to clean unlike the actual owner. A business is successful only when the owner comes and maintains it daily.

This place was a huge disappointment! Staff was pleasant, asked us how are night was going and showed us into a room. Then he proceeded to hook up the worn out, dinged up microphones which did not work. It took a good 5 minutes for him to get a new one, which still did not work and another 5 minutes to figure out that the machine wasn’t working. While he tinkered around with that, I flipped through the song book but pages were disgustingly stuck together. This place was in desperate need of a renovation. He then showed us into another room; thankfully, everything was working fine.
I was ready to sing my heart out and have some fun, until I smelt cigarette smoke flowing into our room from next door. Apparently, there was a huge party with a bunch of under aged looking kids running around coming in and out every minute. I, being in the adjacent room, could not hear myself singing because the sounds from next door was ridiculously loud. As our room slowly began to fill with cigarette smoke, the more uncomfortable I became. Not only was the cigarette smoke seeping into our room, their noise as well. I couldn’t stand it any longer. After an hour, we left. We ended up going to a different karaōke bar.
I wouldn’t come here again – definitely not my type of spot!

Super friendly staff, more than willing to help you out.
Some of their song selection is dated, but there are more than enough to get you through 2 hours. The remote is in korean, as is most of the song book, but my korean friend was there to help us out the whole night.
You can bring in your own alcohol until 12am, at which point, they’ll come in n tell you to dump it or take it to your car.
The prices here are very reasonable too, especially with the deals on groupon. I think we paid $ 10 per hour for a small room. Definitely somewhere i wouldn’t mind coming back to.

Summary: Surprisingly amusing and fun
Review: This was the first time I went to a karaōke place and i’m glad I choose K-​TV Hawaii as my first place! My friend who went to Krazy Karaōke said K-​TV blows KK out of the water in terms of price and value! We got a groupon which made choosing K-​TV Hawaii easy, and enjoyed it so much we decided to stay for another hour passed our groupon! They actually have student discounts which let us pay $ 22 for another hour.

This spot brings back some memories from Do-​Re-​Mi days! Clean karaōke rooms with great sound quality. This is the spot to go to celebrate any special occasion. There’s parking lot in the back. You can BYOB and your own food there! You can also order food from Pandora Café next door which has awesome drinks and sushi. This place kinda feels like one of those spots where you are treated like a VIP and everyone who works here super cool and chill. If you looking for a fun place to hang out and sing til early morning then this is the place to be!

We were very disappointed with this place. We got a groupon and tried it out.
First problem was feedback with microphones. Second all the newer songs we entered didnt work and finally, one of the speakers were’nt working.
If you pay money for Karaōke and your song books display songs, please make sure they work. :(

Great place for karaōke. I went here a couple times when it was DoReMi and I like how they redid the interior to make it look fresh and clean. All the rooms have different themes which was pretty cool. Went here for a party recently and we had the best customer experience. The staff is super cool and very accommodating. They got a large song selection in different languages. They got all kinds of food specials and rates are good. If you gotta plan a karaōke party this is the place to do it. I’m sure I’ll be back again.

this kareoke spot is elegantly decorated. I especially like the room with the Tiffany blue color back drop. various room sizes, it can accomadate small and large parties. the bigger room can probably fit up to 20 ppl. I would definitely recommend this place over the other outdated and ghetto looking kareoke spots. this place is much cleaner and has a better vibe!

This is a way cool spot and very well kept and trendy! The owners are also super chill and it’s a great party spot for BYOB!!! I would definitely recommend!!! :)

KTV is one of the most visually stunning karaōke room venues I have ever seen. These guys really put a lot into the décor of the place. The rooms have the perfect kind of seating needed to satisfy any party size. I am an avid visitor here and I just booked my sister in laws party for this coming weekend! Jasen and Joey are truly class act owners who know what the hospitality industry is all about. Not the mention that the food is absolutely spectacular!!! I would give more stars if I could fellas!

If you want to get your mayo mayo mayo mayonaise (dorky choir joke) on, this is the spot. It is affordable, clean, and the systems they use in the room are awesome. The service is top notch, and the food is great. I think I’m going there this weekend to get my Neil Diamond on.

I have been a regular at this karaōke establishment for years! I started back when it was called DoReMi, then continued on when it became Boom Boom room. It has always been a fun time with friends. I have to say that I loooove the changes that K-​TV has made to this spot! Each room has a theme which is especially cute for taking pics (, Instagram whores will love this). The service is always on point and they are very helpful if you have any questions about the karaōke machines.
I love the fact that it is a BYOB spot before midnight and they have an awesome Birthday special too!
And for those of you who just want to hang out with friends, but you’re not much of a singer, they have an auxiliary plug in so you can play your own music!
I know that I am definitely heading there for some karaōke this week… I will be posting lots of pics!
