Meet the Business Owner

Chef Cassie S.

Business Owner

Cassie is an artist, especially, when it comes to cooking! He was taught authentic Jamaican country cooking, at an early age by his Grandma in Portland, Jamaica. Living up in the hills is an agricultural way of life and much of the fruits, vegetables and poultry, Cassie was taught to plant, grow and collect fresh from the fields.

Following this growing passion for preparing fresh foods, Cassie graduated from culinary school in Kingston, and launched into the restaurant industry. After many years at some very exclusive restaurants in Miami, including the Forge and the Westin Diplomat; Chef Cassie decided it was time to venture out on his own. He owned and operated a successful series of two restaurants in Miami, Cassie’s Caribbean Cuisine and Papayas Health Food Restaurant. With the formal training, combined with the understanding of traditional and very healthy Jamaican cuisine, Chef Cassie proved his gourmet skills and authentic style!
