History
Established in 2005.
There are lots of people on this island with this story: I came on vacation and never left! Matt Zimmerman, me, finished up a Ph. D in Biomedical Sciences in 2000, and came to the islands on a break. I stayed because I landed a «job» as the divemaster aboard an interisland sailing club. Within a few months of coming to the island, I had sailed to and dove Oahu, Maui, the Big Island, Molokai, Lanai and Kauai. I was pretty much in love with the place. I started working on the side as an instructor between trips and with the advent of internet advertising — BAM I was in business.
I started out of my one bedroom low rent apartment in Waikiki and grew from there.
2002 — upgraded to two bedroom apartment, lol
2003 — first dive shop on Hickam Air Force Base
2006 — 2nd dive shop in Hawaii Kai Shopping Center
2007 — first boat the Sea Fox imported from Dunedin Florida
2008 — second boat — the Dive Barge
2009 — third dive boat acquired and renamed the Sea Hound

Business Owner
10 years in the biz and counting and I still love diving. Taking people diving for the first time is still rewarding, and all the critters down there, big and small — still make my day. As the owner, responsibilities take me away from the water pretty often, but I’m an active part of the technical diving team, which keeps me on my toes for our annual cave diving trip down to the Mexican Riviera.
