I’ve never felt so compelled to leave a review because this place is absolutely the most incredible massage and bodywork find I’ve ever experienced! I’ve had massages from both Kenji and Kim and they easily were the best massages I’ve ever had. Not only are they wonderfully warm, kind and caring people and truly listen to you and want to help you feel great and address your needs but they are also so flexible in scheduling, on time, professional, clean & at the most reasonable low rate! If you want to be pampered at the spa (while that is great) then this isn’t the place, but if you want a great deal for excellent customized bodywork with extremely skilled, knowledgeable and expert practitioners with fantastic customer service, I can’t possibly recommend this place more (I think I made that clear!) ;)

I discovered HM&B almost a year ago through Groupon, and I am so glad that I did. Except for one unfortunate scheduling miscommunication, I have become a satisfied, regular client. And it’s a perfect location for me currently, only a 5-​minute walk.
Of the three massage therapists I have had here, Kim is my absolute favorite. Sun is terrific as well, combing a bit of Thai massage techniques to help relax. My massage with Steve was not a good experience for me — way too abrasive and intense for me — but would probably be good for somebody wanting a very vigorous massage.
Kim has a great calming and friendly energy, which I appreciate in a massage therapist. She also uses essential oils during massage — huge bonus as I have started using EOs in my daily life.
They offer a great Kama’aina rate, as well as a massage package that I believe now equates with $ 45 per 60 minute massage. Come on — you cannot beat that! And I also love the option of getting a 90-​minute massage for just $ 20 more. I’ve become hooked on those 90-​minute sessions!
This place is great, you won’t regret giving them a shot. No frills or fancy décor, so if you want a spa-​like experience this might not be the place for U. But if u want a great massage at a great price, this is your place!

I was really excited about trying this place. Appointment times are available but if your looking for two back to back massages or even a massage for two you need to make sure you give advance notice. The recommended time was 2pm then to come back at 7pm for the second massage. Not feasible.
I’m still giving two stars because I didn’t give a lot of notice but hey sometimes groupon deals are quick and we just buy to store the option. I had to cancel my order because I’m leaving Hawaii soon. Star rating is for appointment availability and lack of accommodation/​help received from the person whom answered the phone.

Song is by far one of the most AMAZING therapists I’ve ever been to! He incorporates Deep Tissue with Thai stretching and even steps on your back if you’re comfortable, and I leave there feeling like a million bucks! Rates are priced very reasonable and if you can, get the pack so you save $$$. I mean I can’t go wrong with this guy. Always aims to please but most importantly, he really takes care of your body!

We discovered this business though Groupon, where we bought 2 one-​hour massages. First of all, the office, located in Eaton Square, was a little difficult to find. But once we found it, we really enjoyed our experience!
The massage rooms are nice and comfy… not quite as luxurious as a spa… but good enough. My therapist, Kim, did an hour-​long deep tissue massage on me. The pressure was perfect and she worked really diligently on my problem areas, mainly my shoulders. It was nice to have her work out all of my knots… I was so relaxed that I think I feel asleep, lol. My bf really liked his therapist too. He likes really hard, deep tissue massages and he said his masseuse really worked on him!
After our massages, they mentioned a deal they have that includes 5 hour-​long massages for $ 200. Meaning, $ 40 for an hour-​long massage. Sold. We bought into that great deal and will probably purchase more in the future.
The staff was really nice. When I called for our last appointment, the gentleman answering the phone was so nice and helpful. Great customer service!

When I’m on the rock, I usually get a massage. For the longest time, I went to a place down on the edge of Chinatown and have always been satisfied. But this year, I thought I’d try somewhere different and looking through Unilocal,I found HMaB. I emailed through the website and received a call a day later. I did ask for Kenji since he seemed to be everyone’s favorite, however, I was told he might not be available.
My therapist was Patrick. I had 90 minutes of relaxing bliss. One thing he did, which was the first time I’ve had done, was a facial cranial massage. Maybe he saw the tension in my face from my school year. I felt really relaxed when I left.
I didn’t know about the parking validation, so I will do that next time. I’m sure all the therapists are great, but I would recommend Patrick if you need to to forget about the world outside.

I once had Kenji at Laka Spa and fell in love with his technique. The next time I went there, they told me he doesn’t work there anymore. So I’ve been looking for a new masseuse to go to that was just as good as him. Then one day, while scrolling through Unilocal,I stumbled upon Honolulu Massage and Bodyworks and decided to try the 60 minute Swedish, deep tissue, or lomilomi massage that groupon offered.
I was surprised and glad to have found him again here! He uses the perfect amount of pressure and can adjust quickly to your liking. I always leave feeling much better and relaxed.
The only problem I had was the area the salon was in. The people in the next room were kind of loud so I couldn’t completely relax at one point. But luckily, the wall was only banged once and after 3 minutes, they had shut up. Another was the fact that I could hear the ambulance from outside, but that was only for a short time.
But, because the massage was so great and satisfying, regardless of the outside distractions, i was still able to enjoy my massage and that’s what impressed me the most. Therefore this place is given a well deserved 5 stars.
Their staff is very friendly and courteous. I wasn’t sure which of the three massages I received but I think it was lomilomi. I wanted to try the deep tissue but I guess I’ll just have to go back and try that next.
Overall, GREAT experience. Don’t let the place fool you. It may not be the nicest set up, but their technique is on point and better than most spas around here. I found my new «go to» spa and am a very happy camper! Can’t wait to sign up for my next appointment. I’ll probably end up buying that $ 200 package deal of five one-​hour massages! I will definitely be coming back here again.

Taking care of our body is so important, but it’s so hard to maintain getting regular massages when it costs so much and/​or finding a great masseuse. I’ve always had tight muscles and neck pains, so for me, it’s super hard finding a masseuse that I like. I first heard about this place through my friend who gave me a gift certificate here for a 1-​hour massage.
Honolulu Massage and Bodyworks is located at Eaton Square, next to First Hawaiian Bank. Parking inside the Eaton Square Garage with validation is only $ 2. It’s a tiny place with a cute little reception area and 3 rooms available for their clients. Their rooms are super clean and their massage beds are heated! Brownie points :)
I’ve been here a couple times with different therapists every time, and although they are all different in their own styles, all of them were great and left me feeling relaxed and looser. I had Song on my 2^nd visit, and he really understood my body and applied the right amount of pressure in the areas that were super tight. I liked the technique he used and the essential oils he held above my face allowed my lungs to breathe better too. After my 1-​hour massage with him, as I was checking out, he gave me tips as my body was very stiff in my upper body, mainly the right side. He also validated my parking, which only cost $ 2 for 2-​hours!
I highly suggest getting their 5 one-​hour massage gift certificates for $ 200. That’s $ 40/​massage! Such a great deal!
With my body aches and pain, treating my body is essential. I’m so glad I found this place because now I know I can spend a reasonable amount of money and still receive excellent service in return.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. I made an appointment to get a deep tissue massage. As I was driving to get my massage the operator calls me and informs me that my appointment is canceled due to a massage therapist having to go home with an emergency.

My friend Jaime and I went here for the first time today. After trying other massage places, this is the best so far. We had Anitka and Kim… they were excellent. They both were careful on our comfort level. Both had very strong hands and paid attention to the tension areas. We will go back.
They also have a special rate now, $ 200.00 for 5 one hour session. That’s $ 40.00/per hour. What a steal for quality massage!

I want to start by saying being a massage therapist can be a double edged sword, in that you know how you like to be worked on and it’s hard to find that person that lets you relax without you constantly thinking about what he/​she could/​should be doing. I am happy to report that I have found that person. *happy dance*
I’ve been here twice now, and have left with my poor shoulders feeling so much lighter and a big ol’ smile on my face. Kenji is the therapist I see (and also the owner), and he has a great touch with plenty of experience to back it. For me, I need deep enough pressure to do something, but I want to be able to relax and not feel sore for three days after. I’m also very tight in my calves and hamstrings and while you can go elbow deep in my shoulders, you have to be NICE to my legs! Kenji acknowledged this and does just that. Great massage, talks with me when I talk to him and but let’s me drift off to la-​la land when I eventually trail off.
His office is small, but very clean and with music playing. It’s the same for treatment rooms AND they have heated beds! Love! You can park in the garage with two hour validation which is awesome for the area that it’s in. And lastly, great prices for such an excellent treatment. Highly recommend checking it out for yourself. It’s definitely my go to place when the masseuse needs a massage. ;)

I love, love, LOVE massages. With an aching right side of my body, I desperately made an appointment. Now I know better: 60 minutes for an aching body is NOT enough time. I highly recommend at least a 90-​minute massage to get the whole «Bodywork» ;).

this place is wonderful! it was our second time there. the first time was about 2 years ago. it was my first massage ever, so I had a hard time relaxing. regardless it felt great! my boyfriend had also purchased a groupon.
well he bought another groupon, and we went last night. we were able to get 8pm appts (they are open till 9) since I knew what to expect I was so looking forward to it. I cant remember the name of the guy who gave me my massage but he was great! I prefer to not have a conversation with the masseuse as I want to relax. there was no talking except to ask if the pressure was ok, etc. I had some really bad knots in my shoulders so it got a little intense but its that pain where it hurts, yet feels good at the same time. lol.
I left feeling so much better! we might have to opt for the gift card with multiple massages next time!

Amazing massage from Anika! I loved her bubbly personality and she is just so good at finding the knots and tight spots. I felt so pampered and healed from the inside out.
The place is relatively easy to find even for a tourist like me. I regret that I am going home otherwise this would have been my regular place for therapeutic massages! The entire building is quiet and from the parking lot you walk past a koi pond so you can get in the right frame of mind for relaxing and zen. Of course the prices, the fact that you get a full hour and not get ripped off like most places on the mainland where undressing accounts for part of your massage hour.

I get massages on a regular basis. I was in the area for work, and decided to try this place out on a whim. THE best massage I have ever gotten. Hands down. No question.
I have never felt so relaxed and so comfortable. I got a 90 minute massage, the massage therapist, thought it was a 60 minute massage. So when he said we were all done, I didn’t even question it because I was THAT relaxed. He left the room then a few minutes later, he knocked and, after making sure I was decent, he came in and apologized. I said I would finish the session up and so he continued.
I would like to mention that I got this massage a year and a half ago… I didn’t write a review before because… well…I don’t normally write reviews. I got a massage yesterday in CA, it was good but it made me remember this place. It is now that I feel compelled to write this.

Been here several times and they never let me down. I always have my massage with Kenji and he’s the best therapist I’ve ever had. He’s so talented and knows all the technique how to melt us down!!! Get the value pass cause it’s a great deal. I think it’s $ 200 for 5 massages and it can be shared with Others!!! It really worth the try :)

This was one of the best massages I got. I was always hesitant to have a male masseuse, but after going to multiple massages where the female masseuse can never give me the amount of pressure to get out all those knocks, I no longer say no to male masseuse. Steve, was VERY GOOD in getting those knocks out and giving me a good body flow. I felt refresh and painless when I walked out.
Don’t get me wrong, this is not a nice spa or anything. Just plain old good massage. Nothing fancy.
