Our mission is to spread the spirit of Aloha around the world with gourmet cookies made in Hawaii. Each of our cookies is baked fresh daily, and made with the finest ingredients and natural Hawaiian flavors individually wrapped to maintain its delicious oven-fresh quality. From the very beginning, our premium shortbread cookies have been produced using only the finest and freshest ingredients. The attention to detail is evident in each cookie with the use of natural Hawaiian, hand-placed with care flavors, including 100% Kona coffee, macadamia nuts, lilikoi, mango, and pineapple to add a true taste of the islands and create the perfect cookie. Other cookies are hand-dipped in premium Guittard white chocolate, milk chocolate, or decadent dark chocolate. Each cookie is individually wrapped to preserve its crisp, oven-baked freshness and delivered to our stores daily. Our trademarked pineapple shape evokes the essence of Hawaii, and the international symbol for hospitality.
History
Established in 1996.
Successful entrepreneurs, Keith and Janet Sung, decide to expand their product line. They notice that every island had their own gourmet cookie line except Honolulu.
During an 18-month quest to produce the perfect cookie, Sung searched the world to find the right equipment and ingredients, then planed and constructed the ideal custom bakery. He perfected his recipe, using a precise blend of premium ingredients, resulting in the finest shortbread cookie in the Islands. The crowning touch is the distinctive pineapple shape which reinforces its Hawaiian heritage. Honolulu Cookie Company’s first four flavors are selected, and simple, yet sophisticated packaging is developed to appeal to both the local and tourist market seeking a distinctive Hawaiian gift.
We now offer 15 delicious flavors and have expanded to 12 retail store locations on Oahu and Maui.
