One of my spots for lunch and I work downtown. I get my usual combo which is ahi poke, cooked fish, rice, and kim chi. Depending on the type of cooked fish, the cost will be anywhere from $ 8-$ 11 and it’s totally worth it. I might switch it up with ahi poke and rice for about $ 8. I get it spicy, which is basically just a spicy shoyu instead of the spicy mayo type sauce. The owners are extremely nice and have many regulars. Oh yeah they serve coffee, but I go here for the fish. Anything from ahi, aku, salmon, kajiki, etc. Always fresh, sometimes they’ll have specials like dried aku or fresh opihi from Big Island. Awesome service and awesome fish.

Good coffee at great prices! Fresh fish daily! The best spam musubi in town! Friendly, family owned business that always takes time to get to know their patrons.

In addition to super fresh fish, they also serve soups, fresh tuna sandwiches, fruit cups, boiled peanuts, fish wraps and more!!! Love coffee factory. Problem is a lot of other people are finding out about this hidden gem!

The name should be called the poke factory. The coffee at this place is terrible.

You would literally never know just walking by that Coffee Factory has schizophrenia in an awesome way. Some people have secret fishing spots, this is a secret place to get insanely fresh poke and fish, made to order. It looks like a café — espresso machine, torani syrups, etc… but really it’s all about the fish. No menu, a tiny hand written sign under the huge«coffee factory» sign is all that would tip you off that this is an amazing spot for fresh made poke(it is made to order, so you can get spicy, ogo and onion added or witheld on request) and the fish is dense, creamy, fresh, so so good. Also great for their fast selling fish and mochiko bentos(I have never been lucky enough to get one yet — they literally fly off the shelf). You have to ask what fish they have that day, and they will guide you. It’s like your favorite auntie and uncle who fish all the time happen to also have an espresso machine. Classic!

Woot! World’s best coffee sold here? I was strolling through that part of town looking for something to eat, so I thought what the heck. Coffee Factory has a huge laundry list of coffee drinks, and I ended up going with a mocha. And its funny because there was something so comforting about hershey syrup as the chocolate in the mocha that was quite enjoyable. Food wise, I had a spicy breakfast sausage sandwich. The spicy sausage had a nice kick and lots of flavor, and just having been made, it was a perfect breakfast for that cold morning. It’s a nice family operation, and there’s always a charm to that. And another bonus is that for the coffee afternoon fix, its only $ 1 after 1!

Right around the corner from my office, is this local business serving coffee, pastries and local foods. I usually come for the spam musubi in the mornings — it is made fresh each day, sometimes even as you wait. I’ve been here right as they open only to be disappointed that the rice(for the musubi) is still cooking. Usually around 8am the morning rush has died down. I usually skip on the coffee since the office serves a dark drip that meets my caffeine needs. I’ve seen her make latte’s but wouldn’t recommend it if you are a true aficionado(no micro foam here, just scooped bubbles). Last week, I came for lunch to be very surprised with their offerings! There were 6 – 7 people SEATED waiting for their lunch! My co-worker and I ordered the poke and rice($ 6.00) — poke made while you wait(homemade sauce). The fish was unbelievably fresh, probably from the fish auction that morning! I would have no hesitation coming back. Those here seated for lunch were served a plate of rice, sauteed fish and kim-chee(some sort of pickled veggies). 6am-3pm Mon-Fri(hours quoted from another website)
