Good atmosphere, good food, good drinks. It’s loud inside but I still thought it was a chill place to have a drink and be with friends. Karaōke is public everyone can hear you versus having your own room. When we were there a lot of the people were easy to listen too. I’ll be going back again.

What can I say, it’s my «Cheers,»(aka, my second home) The owners, Lani and Quinn have become friends and their service is always great. I’ve been going here for years… back when it was the«old chikos». Go on Tuesdays for $ 2 domestic beers or Thursday’s for live Hawaiian music and hula dancing, or Sunday’s for free karaōke. Known for comfort style bar food, Salt and pepper wings are my go to, can’t go wrong with tots, grilled cheese or onion rings.

One of the best bars I’ve been to! Quinn is awesome(not sure if that’s how you spell his name). He and his team are very friendly, and the drinks that Quinn makes are amazing. I have not had a drink from him that I haven’t liked. The food they have is also very ‘ono! We usually get the kalua pig nachos; the chips are so good, not the usual from-the-bag tortilla chips. A fun and different feature of this bar is karaōke! $ 1 per song, it makes being here that much for fun :)

Another one of my regular spots… Lani and Quinn are great. It’s a comfortable place to get drinks and food, and there is always good karaōke going on. The service is consistently good and there’s enough variety with the menu to keep everybody happy(everything from tater tot nachos to a good salad!). I’m here probably more often than I should be with several groups of friends.

Love this bar! Free Karaōke on Sunday! The selection of karaōke is so broad. From Hawaiian songs to Broadway musicals. The service is always on point here. My drink is filled all the time. The food here is the bomb! My favorite is the grilled cheese sandwich. Don’t know what secret ingredient they put in it, but it’s a must every time.

Service was a little slow, considering there were only 2 other tables in the place. The staff were preoccupied by their phones some of the time. Waitress was very nice and very accomodating when she did come by. Bartender seemed pretty oblivious to the tables needing attention. Food was okay, the fryer oil definitely needs to be changed, so the food is not so greasy. Pool table needs much more lighting. Its so dark and that makes it very hard to see the balls. Equipment was in very good condition. I would definitely come back, as it is a very mellow and comfortable place to hang out. Hopefully they change their fryer oil next time I’m there.

Need to relax with a cold beer? Feelin’ hungry for some great pupus? Or are you wanting a place to have a great Friday night at? All can be done here at Chikos Tavern. I have been going here for a little over a year and I will just say that I love love love this place. It’s got great food, awesome service, and what’s better than alcohol and Karaōke haha. Chikos Tavern is my go to when it comes to having a good night with my friends or even family. They got food, alcohol, non alcohol haha karaōke, darts, pool, and the amazing staff. You can not go wrong with this place. Very much highly recommended :) If you haven’t been here before, I suggest you make it a habit haha

Quinn is the best host. He makes you feel welcome and gives top notch service. You feel like you’re coming and hanging out at a friends house here. Good service, warm aloha from the staff and stiff drinks. Live music too.

I have been a fan, customer, friend and even family member of Chikos Tavern for over 14 years. I have seen many bars come and go, or change ownership hands and fail, but not Chikos. This place is still one of islands most welcoming bar. I will continue to join Lani, Quin and the rest of the amazing staff as often as possible to have a great time. Oh, and some nights you come in and the people singing karaōke are AMAZING!!! Sometimes!!! Hahahahaha. and the food is Ono and at a great price point. Love you guys!!!

The first and last bar I see every time I visit Oahu! From staff service, to food, and of course drinks, totally phenomenal! So welcoming and so hard to leave! Tons of fun no matter what time of day or night! True aloha spirit!

I can’t believe I never wrote a review for this place! So this place is me and my co-workers go to pau hana bar. We come here usually at least once a week and have been for a while now. Food is good, tater tot nachos and their seasoned edamame is a MUST. Drinks are pretty good and the service is always friendly. It’s a solid place i think if you wanna come with some of your friends to pre-game or just chill. We usually come here on Sundays because of free karaōke! :) I assume parking can get kinda complicated with the yakiniku buffet next door but usually after the usual rush times I can get parking no problem.

Nice friendly neighborhood bar. I met some friends there, had one drink and then had to leave. The service was good, the drinks were reasonable, and the pupus were nicely presented.

Chiko’s was a pleasant surprise to cap a night of yummy eats and drinks. After our yummy meal at Sweet Home Café, we walked over to Pint and Jigger to play shuffle board and then stumbled into Chiko’s on whim. It’s funny how you discover cool places this way. Chiko’s is a really fun spot. We came in rather late, so we did not get to eat any of their food because the kitchen was closed, but we did order some drinks to enjoy while we played darts and sang karaōke. Again, Hawaii has no shortage of great Karaōke performers and this place is no exception. Everyone in here was belting out the tunes and they sounded great. I was a little intimidated to step up to the plate, but once I did, people were singing along with me… yay! Victory is mine! They have a couple of dart boards and a pool table too. The look of the bar is pretty cool. It is what you picture an old school bar to look like. It has kind of dim lighting and some high tops along with lots of comfy booths. The staff is also really sweet. They didn’t have a couple of the songs I wanted to sing, so they helped me select another song to sing. I think this place is a hidden treasure in Moiliili, so if you are in the area, give them a try. If you like karaōke, darts, billiards, booze and good company, you will have a good time.

LOVE this place. The bar food is soooo ono, there’s a good selection of drinks, there’s a pool table, darts, and how much fun is it when there’s Karaōke?! Be sure to leave $ 1 per song and tip your bartenders because they’re awesome :)

2nd time on the island. ALOHA! We had the pleasure of our local friends to bring us to this fun joint. A bar is a bar right? Not at Chiko’s. Now now. it is LGBT Friendly. you know why? Because they’re cool like that. Just as long as you want to come and have a good time? Come to Chiko’s. It’s not swarming with QUEERS, but it was swarmed with lots of SMILINGFOLKS! There was a good mix of crowd. Looks like most were regulars. REGULARLY comfortable regulars! Which is a good sign. Not too big, not too small. They have two dart machines, a pool table, KARAOKE machine and they supposedly play live local music on Thursday nights i think. Would I come back when I’m on the island? Why yes I would. Service was excellent by the way. The food selection wasn’t terrible. Tater Nachos. Onion rings. just cause i always onion rings were good. The service made the food and drinks taste good. :o) Aloha Chiko’s keep it up.

A cool local hang-out to get good food and drinks for extremely reasonable pricing. Considering this is a casual bar, it was a great surprise to have such great food! We had the Tater Tot Nachos and Spinach Artichoke Dip — both were expected bar food items with a twist. They both tasted great and were hearty. This spot is very low-key and easygoing with no pretense. I’d recommend this place for an easy-going night to relax and get some comfort food and good drinks.

You had me at HELLO. Quite honestly, I think Chiko’s has such a unique welcoming atmosphere. It never ceases to amaze me when someone/people walk thru the door that at least someone knows someone, is a friend of a friend, or stops to say hello and«talk story» with the bartender/wait staff. Welcome to Chiko’s Tavern: the friendly and inviting neighborhood bar =) My friends and I always have a great time as we find that it’s a great place to hang out, have some drinks or pupus, or sing. Yes, as in sing a song. Karaōke anyone?! AMBIANCE: Seating is available at the bar, tables, or at the cozy couch areas. FOOD: Recent items I’ve tried from their menu include: 1) Tater-tot Nachos: Yum! Very good! 2) Mochiko chicken: Very, very Satisfactory =) 3) Garlic fries: I love french fries. Need I say more? 4) Grilled cheese sandwiches: So simple yet so delicious! I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed these. A winner surely. SERVICE: Outstanding. The servers/wait staff provide such terrific service. They’re quite friendly, patient, attentive, and always check with you to make sure things are alright. They treat everyone as if you’re family or good friend, and always seem to have a smile on their face even if they’re busy. PARKING: Hit or miss honestly. Chiko’s shares a parking lot with a yakiniku restaurant, so depending on what day of the week or time of night the lot may be full. Street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. Bottom Line: Terrific service. Good food. Cheerful atmosphere.

Good eats, decent priced drinks, $ 1 karaōke, nice staff, darts and pool… what more can you ask for? Lani the owner is the best! the old chiko’s had one of those dive bar kind of feels… and of course its own charm, but since they renovated(they had suffered from a fire a while back) things are very spiffy now! the space looks so much bigger, and«fancier» now. usually there are plenty places to sit, but this place does have its really busy and crowded days, so be aware… if you come on a crowded day, you will probably never find a place to rest your buns… food is pretty good too — edamame, spam musubi, chicken… you can’t really go wrong with any item on the menu! occasionally there is cover b/c there is a band playing, and its usually hawaiian music, but other than those occasions, there is no cover to get in. and if you go regularly, they have some really good singers! if you pick up the mic, i hope you have the pipes to back it up! you’ll find some heavy competition in the bar karaōke realm over here! there are 4 dart boards to play on, and 17-foot pool table. the walls around the table are pretty tight, so careful with your stroke on this table… the parking is kind of junk sometimes, especially around dinner time b/c it shares a lot with their neighbor yakiniku camelia… but if you go before or after this time, parking is usually pretty easy.

Unilocal 31 Day Challenge: #5/31 Make your own memories… I LOVE Chiko’s! This place has a special place in my heart! Know that this is a gay friendly joint so if you cannot hang it is not a place for you. I have so many memories here. The kind of memories movies are made out of. I don’t know where to start. My bachelorette party, many birthdays, my college«exploration» days(lol), making new friends(Cary Y. and Cara H.), love triangles, falling in love with my hubby… the list can go on and on! Visit and make your own memories too!!! I LOVE the staff here especially Quinn and Lani! They are fast with the strong drinks and yummy food. They also are very accommodating and super nice. For example, one day my phone was dying and they let me charge it using their charge dock. Now, that’s extra good service! My fave food options here are Mo-Chiko chicken, spam musubi, and grilled cheese. But everything I tried has been yummmmy! Expect local bar comfort food. The drinks are decently priced and made perfectly. They have a great happy hour– I need to visit more. This is a good place for karaōke but sometimes I’m shame because the singers can be super good! But eh, if your drunk enough who cares! There are 3 dart boards here too for entertainment purposes. If you hear a «shrill high pitch squeal» in the dart area that is probably just Chad Y-lol!
