I really, REALLY like this place. They’re professional, friendly & provide awesome service. Especially being a woman coming to an automotive shop, it can be a very… let’s say ‘intimidating,’ sometimes-​interesting experience. Ordered rims & tires & had them installed in little over a week. Also had some custom lighting work done by Auto Customs, which I was able to schedule & have completed in less than a week. I’m very pleased with the quality of their work, but most of all their customer service. Another thing I want to add is that their intentions are not to ‘rip anybody off’ (some shops will try to charge for every little friggin thing) & their prices are very reasonable. There are similar shops much closer to where I live (on the west side), but I’m glad I decided to go with them which I based my decision on Unilocal reviews! Definitely coming back & would highly recommend!

I have a 91 civic that i bought from a friend. Safety was expired, so i tried getting that done. Safety people said my car was lowered and needed recon. I tried to get my recon, recon people said it was to low. Finally got it looked at and i had lowering springs and not coil overs. So i couldnt really adjust the height of my car. I spoke with auto customs and they said get coil overs. I asked them which ones to get. Did my research and said yes please help me. Ordered the coil overs through them, in less then a week they called me back and siad bring it in. Got my coil overs installed. They adjusted them so i could pass my recon with no issues. Then i got my safety done. Really happy with my purchase and customer service and care of auto customs. Next step might be rims. I will totally go to auto customs for those. Really great business. Thank you so much for helping me.

So I went in to Auto Customs one day to purchase 4 new tires. At the time I was riding on my spare which was brand new. I asked them if they could put the spare back up under the truck for me and replace the tires on the other 4 wheels. I got the 4 new tires at a decent price but when I looked at my spare one day, when I needed it again, it was a completely different wheel and tire. The spare I had was BF GOODRICH and the one that was now there wasn’t. My lug nuts will BARELY screw on to the wheel and no it’s not on backwards. Because of this I now have to purchase a NEW spare, two new lug nuts (they fell off because they don’t fit properly) and replace two of the bolts on my truck because they BOTH CRACKED. I do not plan to return to this tire shop, unfortunately though because the man who helped me at the counter was awesome and so was the price.

high marks for auto customs! found another pretty good deal. shocks went out because the ride was bouncing. so i went there to replace the whole suspension. instead of going lex brodies or sears for generic replacements, went to autocustoms. for megan racing coilovers, stoptech rotors and centric brake pads. so now the ride is steady and rip turns hit a left hit a right no problem. donuts, obstacle course and all that shet. skeet skirt n im out. they also have the deals on mostly racing rims. the mesh ones or the deep dish chomes with the bolts are alright. u figure $ 800 for change tire, u can UP ur rims for another $ 500. or possibly try rev dual greddys WOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMP! no yea. thats what i like about auto customs. watch ur ride gon come out tiight! =Z

Jeff at Auto Customs was very professional and understood the needs of the truck. I wanted an intake on my truck and they had it in stock and was able to get me in before the new year. The price was reasonable but not cheap. The reason why I went with Auto Customs is because of timing. All other places would have me waiting for over a month, so I decided to pay the extra to get it done before the new year. Location of the shop was also convenient for me as it was on my way home from work.

I had my tires changed there a few months ago. The initial guy who helped me was really helpful and friendly.
Tire popped after a week (not their fault) and I came back in to pick up my replacement. The lot was packed full and I waited about 10 mins before a truck left that was double parked. After he left, I pulled up to where he was, left my car running, and went in to see if I could quickly pick up my new tire.
It was busy inside. I wait about 5 minutes and then a different guy who looked like an owner/​manger came from the garage and started snapping at me, giving me attitude for being double parked. All snarky, he asks me «what makes you think you can leave your car there?» I told him because his vendor was just there and there was zero parking, and I just needed to pick up my order, absolutely floored he would talk to a customer like that.
I don’t know if it’s because I looked young or being in my beater car when I came, but his demeanor changed after he looks me up on his computer. I leave, literally no one needed to get out, and another truck pulls up right where I was parked.
As a fellow business owner, I am extremely careful how I leave reviews. I’m not a car guy but I figured cars are commonly double parked and need to be shuffled around at a garage with little parking. It’s not even about service, it’s easy, common sense stuff — be polite, common decency. I’ve spent a couple thousand in the past few months on my car but it doesn’t matter if it’s a regular customer or someone who hasn’t spent a cent, I can’t stand disrespect. Just ask, I’ll move my damn car. If you come here, I hope you get treated better than I was.

i was referred by a friend who works for bmw. spoke directly with the owner who set me up a next day appointment to get my tires changed out.
once i arrived the staff was friendly & it was the typical wait time to get the work done.

Awesome customer service. Jeff helped me find the right drop springs for my car. He looked at several brands and we decided on H&Rs cause I didn’t want too big of a drop. Will definitely come back based on customer service and price.

I’ve come here multiple times for my auto custom needs and had great experiences each time. They’re located inside the same lot as «Meg’s Drive In» on Waiakamilo. The first time going there was to get some wheels. The vibe was great the moment I walked in. They have a wheel showroom area towards the left, and their waiting room area with TV towards the back. When I was deciding on which rims I wanted, Jubahl was very patient. I didn’t felt rushed, or pressured into purchasing anything until I was 100% sure. I loved their services very much I ended up going back to them for lowering springs. Just like the first time, I was comfortable, treated with kindness, and both Jubahl and Jeff were easy to work with. I’m sure I’ll be going back there, for other future mods.

The only place I will go to have my Camaro modded… been there for four different mods and all have been flawless. Best customer service on the island.

So i went to AutoCustoms knowing what i wanted. I drive an XB and my stock suspensions pretty much needed to get swapped out. Wanted Tein coilovers. Jubal took care of me. Paid half of the cost. Had to wait couple days cuz their schedule was booked.
Got it done yesterday and jobs all done!

Previous owner of my wife’s car had self installed an HID headlight kit. And the damn thing didn’t work. For one thing, he installed the cheapest crappiest kit available, and God only knows what the jackass did to the headlight wiring. It was all sorts of messed up.
Took the car to two auto electric mechanics before these guys and nobody could fix it. But these guys took one look, diagnosed the problem, and fixed it in 30 minutes. Thinking of getting HID lights? Take it here and get it installed by the pros! These guys are super friendly and super easy to work with. They’ll take care of you!

Needed a last minute mount and balance for a couple tires. Was supposed to drop off lunch time, but wasn’t able to get it there till after 3. They guys at Auto Customs were more than happy to accommodate. They even worked after hours to get it done that day. Prices are more than reasonable and very friendly service. The best part of it was the owner dropped off the wheels and tires to my workplace, as it was on the way home ***** star service!!!

I went in for the 2^nd time, and I got great service! One of the employee remember me, got to change my tire and and plugged another one. I also got a pretty good deal since I came back to them I definitely a happy camper !!

I was a first time customer at Auto Customs — my mechanic referred me for replacement tires. Brought my 1984 911 Porsche and Jeff was able to give me a quote over the phone and scheduled the install. When I arrived Jeff noticed I made an mistake on the tire sizes and sent his employee to grab the correct size from the warehouse. Although I did have to wait for two hours for the new tires to be delivered and installed Jeff was apologetic and gave me a discount for the inconvenience (even though it was my fault). I am very happy with the customer service and prices — definitely will recommend and come back here for my future tire needs.

Another local company that gives you the Ohana service! I got a puncture in the sidewall and was rolling on my spare tire. I picked up a new pair of tires, called Auto Customs and spoke with Jeff. He was very helpful and we set an appointment for 5pm on the same day. Well, my workday ran late and I let him know I wouldn’t make it. Jeff tells me if I can get there by 5:30 they can get it mounted which they did for $ 30 including balance and tire disposal. I took it home where I got the spare swapped to the other side so I could have them mount the second tire. I sent my fiancé the next day to have the other tire mounted. Jeff and his crew went beyond what I expected, mounted the wheel on the car and placed the spare back properly in the trunk for my fiancé. It’s attention to detail like this that earns a customers loyalty.

I never write reviews but I had to for this one. I dropped my silverado and Jubahl and the rest of his crew stayed overtime just to finish my truck. Hands down quality service from these guys. Looking forward to my new wheels from here as well next year.

I give 5 stars to Auto Customs not because they can make your dream ride become a reality but for their awesome customer support. I met with Jeff Salvatera and he worked with me through all the details I had visioned for what I wanted my truck to look like. Jeff listened and made it all happen. I also want to add that this is the first automotive business that does NOT make any promises that they cannot keep. When they say how much it’s going to cost, that’s how much it’s going to cost. When they say your parts are going to come in within a week, your parts will come in within a week. Their workmanship is also stellar. Very neat, clean and professional. Every time I took a peak into the garage, the mechanics weren’t wasting time and constantly working on my truck. They also have a nice waiting area with very very comfortable couches. Lol! They also have a flat screen television and they let you have total control over the remote. While I was watching television, couple of the Auto Customs guys sat in to eat their lunch. During this time, the guys starting talking story with me and really made me comfortable and helped make the time pass by quickly. They ate for 30 minutes and BOOMthey were back to work, without wasting any time. Again, awesome customer service. One more thing I’d like to add. Their prices cannot be beat. I gotta be honest, when I first received my quote from Jeff on how much everything was going to cost, I did go home to do my own shopping online to see if I could get anything for cheaper. Honestly, I could not find one place that was cheaper than what Jeff quoted me. It was either the same price or more expensive and that was without the shipping included. So overall, if Unilocal would let me, I would give Auto Customs infinite stars. If you want anything for your ride, go check these guys out. They work with you every step of the way until your project is done. Excellent customer service, stellar workmanship and prices you cannot beat. So go check them out and experience it for yourselves. Located in the same driveway as «Megs Drive In» on Waiakamilo Road — Trust me, I know because I drove down the street 3 times before finding this place. It’s hidden deep into that corner after entering the driveway.
I ordered an Eibach Pro-​Kit suspension set from TireRack last month due to my old front strut leaking and rear spring rusting. Fortunately, I was able to install the rear struts and springs by myself. Then when it came to doing the front, I had an unfortunate minor injury that discouraged me from continuing. Hence, I turned to Unilocal!I asked a few friends and family, and all signs pointed to Auto Customs. I called on Friday to get a quote for the front suspension install. Called again on Monday to make an appointment. Wednesday I was in and out in an hour.
Jeff was the main liaison. Though, I DID get a chance to meet the mechanic as well since there was a little issue with my car while doing the suspension installation (cushion on the top hat was missing). Both of the guys were really humble and explained in detail what the issue was. Not a huge problem, gave the okay to just finish it up, and here I am! Happy customer. There is no change in height of my car (as expected), but I can most definitely feel the difference and I could not be more satisfied.
I would recommend this place to all people looking for a cool wheel and tire package. Even if you want your tires stretched. They have hybrid and full airbag suspension systems, it seems. Coilovers, springs, and struts are all available too. There is just a huge range of things that they have. I was really impressed. Honestly, I would give 6 stars if I could. I had an unfortunate experience with my car and needed to get a tire replaced ASAP. My cousin recommended that I go to Auto Customs because he knows the owners of this place. I met John and he took care of me with super quick service. We called at 10:00 when they opened to get a price estimate and get an appointment for the tire replacement. My appointment was at 3:00, but I got there at 2:00 and they took me immediately. Within 15 minutes, I was on my way with my new tire.
Great service, fair prices, friendly employees. RECOMMENDED!
