808 Bachata Advancement Dance Company specializes in Bachata classes or lessons. It is a genre that derived from the Dominican republic. We do not teach pure Dominican style but a hybrid or fusion as it is called since this is a very popular style among the states. Our classes are held at Dream to Dance Studio.

With my self-​induced busy schedule, I don’t have a lot of time so 808 Bachata Advancement facilitated that with a weekend workshop far ahead of my schedule for me to add in. I was very glad to had participated and learned a few new moves to add to my growing skills. Abby, Kyle, Carlo, and Cristal breaks all the steps down in simple bite sized blocks of instructions to digest.
Great instructions to go from zero to beginner and a little intermediate mixed in. As in all things, practice and repetition on your part is mandatory. At the end of the class you can video the instructors doing the moves to help you remember. Great teamwork!

With the growing popularity for Bachata in Hawaii, there has been a continued desire & interest by many to take classes. Personally, my inspiration to learn and advance in my own bachata dancing, was fueled by the talented & passionate instructors of the 808 Bachata Advancement. Instructors Kyle, Cristal, Carlo, and Abby teach bachata basics, combo patterns & footwork in a fun, positive, interactive atmosphere. The classes/​workshops had provided me with a solid foundation in bachata footwork, body movement, and musicality. Learning new combo, patterns, techniques,& partnerwork etiquette, I have advanced in my bachata skills which resulted in a newfound respect & confidence dancing in Hawaii’s Latin dance scene. So if you are interested in learning or want to learn more and advance in bachata dance skills/​techniques, I highly endorse & recommend you attend classes/​workshops with the 808 Bachata Advancement.
