Merry Go Round

I love the concept and have been to many of these types of stores. I was so excited to learn we have one in Hollister… then I got there. Most of the clothes are pretty worn out and faded. The ones that aren’t are horribly overpriced. Brand new at Target they are only a couple of dollars more! I brought in some clothes, and really didn’t even care if I got store credit, just wanted to get rid of them. I don’t let my kids wear even close to worn out clothes, so all my items were in like new condition, and cute. She didn’t want any of them due to too much merchandise in stock. Well maybe get rid of the junk and take in some good stuff and you’ll sell more! I also felt the owner was a little off-​putting at first, didn’t really feel welcomed. Bummed I don’t think I’ll be returning :/

This store is awesome! Great selection of everything baby and beyond.

First id like to say that this store has a ton of merchandise. However, more than half of what you will find is faded with stains and well over priced. 7.99 for faded leggings? You must be kidding me. Secondly, the owner of the store is pushy and tries to push her own daughters worn out shoes and clothes on you. No lady I don’t want your over priced used maryjanes with worn out velcro. Most of the dresses that should have matching diaper covers or bloomers are missing them, but she’s still asking 7.99 and up for them, go to target and pay a little more for a complete set.
I recently took in a bunch of my daughters gently worn clothes and was understanding that my credit wouldn’t be that much. She basically gives you 25% of what its worth, and only gives store credit, which means you are stuck looking at faded and stained clothes, and toys that have been faded by the sun, or are clearly old and or missing pieces. In my very unfortunate incident, I ended up with 5 items to take home from my 30 $ credit, and I missed the fact that the dress I picked out has a very large dark stain hiding in one of the flowers. I attempted to treat the mark to no avail. I have never, no will I ever put stained clothing on my child, and I would have never left the store with it. I called the store owner, Emma, and requested store credit or exchange and she stated all sales are final. I find it in very poor business practice to not offer a type of return. I’m understanding that she has «too much back stock», but honestly, if your store items were in better condition and or priced more reasonably, perhaps more would be going out than coming in.
needless to say, I will not be going back. I should gave never gone in for store credit to begin with. I’m also letting all my mommy friends know to beware and ask that they please not patronize that store. I’ll mention it whenever and wherever I can.
I will be going to Gilroy and doing my shopping at Mango street kids from now on. They have better prices and the items are in much better condition.

I like this store a lot. It has a lot of quality clothing and gear at reasonable prices. It is a great asset to Hollister! Go check it out and tell your friends, so the store will stay!

It’s a great concept, but not sure how long it will last with what I’ve heard. I will say this, make ur own judgement, you will either love or hate the owner, and the buying side is a lil strange, I mean who wants to be asked what u want for your items, and then when u respond, ur showdown. Wouldn’t it be more professional to offer what she would be willing to give vs. the awkwardness of being put on the spot? Just a thought.

Hollister needs a place like this. The owner is really friendly and willing to help with whatever you are looking for. Check out the cute hair bows and headbands that she makes!

I love this store… The owner is amazing, you can tell she really cares about her store I have never been to a resale consignment shop where all the baby equipment is obviously washed and cleans before it’s sold. The store is so organized and clean the prices are very reasonable. What I love the most is that she even buys out of season clothes. She does tell you in advance that she pays less for it but she buys it and I think that’s cool. I highly recommend this store to all my family and friends. So excited that we have a store like this in Hollister.
