Royal Moore Toyota

I’ve done business with Royal Moore Toyota for several years, and unfortunately, my overall experience has been quite negative.
I’ve purchased two cars from Royal Moore in the last two years, and just attempted to purchase a third. My experience purchasing the first two, from a salesperson named Pam, was very pleasant and easy. However, my most recent experience, with Jason Walraven, was very unpleasant. In several instances, he refused to accommodate simple requests, and he also made several statements that I knew were inaccurate. Eventually, he «released» the special order car that I had been waiting five weeks to arrive because I told him that I needed a few more hours to decide whether I was willing to waive my rights under Oregon’s implied warranty of merchantability as part of the deal.
I tried calling the dealership General Manager and left several messages, but he never called me back. Eventually, Jason’s Sales Manager called me, and when I told him that I had a poor experience and would not be purchasing the car, he simply thanked me and hung-​up without even asking about the details.
I won’t be doing business with them again.

This is the the worst Toyota experience ever! I have never bought a car from them and never will! Pushy, arrogant and ignorant. Yes they are local but I rather drive to Beaverton Toyota and get quality treatment!

This one star goes to the asshole who was so disrespectful to me and my husband. We came here to see what was the trade in value for our car, we clearly need a bigger car. BUT WE ARE IN NO RUSH. We were looking around dealers and yesterday we came to this one. We we’re greeted nicely by an employee named Luis. He was very courteous and I really hope he gets promoted. Then the manager came out to help us out. Things started out nice but when my husband said what they were offering him was way to low the man started being rude. My husbands English is not the best but it’s well understood. This man clearly has issues. He disrespected everything I said and my husband. He even told my husband if he had been smoking weed. He was rude and so unprofessional. I thanked him for his time and walked away. He was still going off on my husband. I could have gone off on him too, which trust me I only do when you disrespect me or my family. But I was not in the mood to argue with an idiot. Anyways hope he reads this and gets fired because a man like that does not deserve to be working in a place like that.

I need to up date my review of Royal Moore. I did a review of them on
much like the one here. RM read that review and posted a response. they said that the pulse and anti-​theft were optional and I could call and have them removed. So I called to have that done. right after I get the appointment made I get a call back, I think it was the service manager. he tells me not to bring my truck in, and that those things would not be removed. So I tried to explain to him the offer that had been worked out with others etc. but he wouldn’t listen, so I said I am bringing the truck in with the paperwork and hung up on him. that made him mad. he called back and started yelling at me over the phone that I was not to hang up on him. among other things he called me a «punk». and said that if I came in with an attitudes then «someone would be in my face».
he called back again and said that I could mail in a letter requesting to have the anti-​theft removed (that is allowed by contract) but the offer to remove the pulse was no longer being offered. I figured that they made the offer in hopes that I would change my review and rating. so based on my overall experience I did just that.

They are the worst car dealers in town. I got a quote over email and when I went there for test drive they asked for $ 2000 extra. I said that is not a price I am comfortable buying. The sales rep bluntly replied, we don’t have anything else to talk then.
Worst customer service. I will never go here.

I had an agreed upon price in writing through email for a Toyota Tacoma Limited with specific options. I paid a deposit based on that agreement to order the vehicle. When I showed up to pick up the Tacoma none of the options were installed and the dealer said those were not included in our agreed upon price. I took my deposit and left.
We bought a Subaru from Royal Moore in 2013. Most of the business was done through email without any issues. It was a great experience which is one of the reasons we chose to do business with Royal Moore again. Apparently the Toyota staff to not have the same level of professionalism, integrity and ethics that the Subaru staff does.

I bought a 2011 Mini Cooper with 10k miles in perfect condition on Jan 2014 from Kevin Wagner. I traveled all the way from Las Vegas because it was the perfect mini for me. I did a carfax check and everything came back clean. On February 2014 I saw the paint on the hood was starting to crack. I called Kevin numerous times and sent him many emails (which I still have record of) and he did not return any of my emails or phone calls. Mind you, when I bought it, there were no cracks on the hood. Kevin had great communication with me when it came time for him to sell me the car, got back to me right away. One month after… nothing, as if I didn’t exist. I even asked if it had been in any accidents and they said no. They lied to me. I took it to a bodyshop here in Vegas and they said yes, there had been previous damage and that it had been repainted. Royal Moore is in the dealership business, it had damage and they probably had their bodyshop fix it under the radar, so carfax would have no record of it. Now I have to come out of pocket $ 900, when I’m able to afford it, for the hood to get repainted again because the cracks are progressively spreading and getting worse.

I bought a new car here. I got my initial quote online, which was less than other dealerships I contacted in the Portland Metro area. They also have the best free warranty (20 yrs/200,000 mi), provided you complete all recommended maintenance.
The buying process was straight-​forward and the price didn’t change once I got to the dealership. As the other reviews say, it’s not the cleanest, most state-​of-​the-​art facility, but it wasn’t that bad. It’s just no-​frills. And if that means saving $ 1K on the price of my car, I’m fine with it! There is no requirement to return to this location for maintenance. I was also offered a fair price for my trade-​in – more than twice the quote from Carmax.

I had been taking my matrix here for service for the last two years, but I am finished with this place. First they told me I needed brakes, but when I took my car to a Midas for an inspection I was shown my pads with lots of material still on them. Then they did my serpentine belt and the thing shrieks like an eagle being stabbed. Then they told me I needed brakes AGAIN, this time adding extra insult by showing me a pad that was far from being down to the wear indicator and claiming it was dangerous.
I don’t recommend taking your car here if you don’t know about cars, they will try to take advantage of you.

Excellent Service Dept — -I know it may hard to believe, but this is an honest service department. This is the second time I have used them for a repair. I knew I needed new brakes on the front and was willing to get them on the rear — but the mechanic checked and said I didn’t need them. I know there are lots of repair centers out there that would have put them one even if I didn’t need them. They provide a free shuttle to work and back. If you have a Toyota, I highly recommend you take it here for your service needs. Talk to George. He is great.

I bought a 2014 Toyota Corolla S from these folks. Rick, my salesman, was really good to work with. His manager, Nate, is also very good to work with. I’ve had a couple of issues with the car after the sale, and Nate has always gone out of his way to take care of the issues. So, if you like a low pressure sales environment with prompt follow up to any issues, this is the right place to go.
And while you’re there, go say hi to Heather, the service department cashier. She’s a doll!

Bought a Scion FRS 2014 with the extended warranty. Just wish I had done it anywhere else.
The place is trash. The tiles on the ceilings have water stains and and the place looks like a drug addicts homeless cave party. It is so bad. It looks outdated and hasn’t been cleaned for ages. They haven’t updated or maintained it in years. Just screams ripoff.
So I buy this car and I start having a issue with the car. I email someone at the dealership and they let me know that they will let another person know I am coming in tomorrow.
I arrive there. Explain my issue at the front counter. They explain that I need to pick up my plates and work with service department.
I pull up and walk inside. There is this lady slouched in this chair working on her nails on the phone. I wait patiently for her to stop talking to her boyfriend and help me out. Well she tells the person I gotta get off the phone like I am some kind of annoyance or something.
She doesn’t get out of the chair and says yes? I ask about my plates. She says go to down the hall to parts. I then ask about looking at my car. She says its 2. The service people don’t work past 2. No offer of hours or making a appointment another time. Just a rude scumbag person who doesn’t even deserve her job.
I go down to parts and get my plates. They asked me if I need someone to put them on. I say no. Inside I would rather kill myself than allow these idiots to touch my car at this point.
I exit and leave.
The actual buying experience wasn’t much better. They said they needed to detailing on the car. Well you can probably guess the detail job was done half @#$ed. It was free but hey I spent 30k on a car work a little bit harder would be nice.
Well given how the place looks and the way the employees treat customers it makes you wonder why anybody would ever want to spend money at this junkfest.

Ok — I’ll start with the good. The people were friendly enough, they got me in for an oil change on relatively short notice, and got me out within an hour of my arrival.
Now the ugly — literally — this place is filthy and smells horrible. Pretty sure it hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in at least a decade. It is so old and dingy — even the children’s toys were ancient and dirty. Also, when I got my car back it wasn’t washed — a service I receive from another local Toyota dealership with any oil change. Also, when I arrived I had no idea where to go and nobody came out to greet me. I had to go in to the oil change bay and ask one of the mechanics where I was supposed to go and if it was okay to leave my car where I’d parked it.
I was telling my husband about it after I left and I even told him «how that place was makes me not want to even go look at new cars there.»
It’s time for a remodel guys.

I have always had great service here, never had any issues, they appreciate my business and take care of me.
I highly recommend them!

I went here because I was disgusted with Beaverton Toyota, and I’ve been very pleased. The pickup and dropoff service when they’re working on my car is prompt and convenient, they speak to me like an intelligent adult, and things are finished on time.

SERVICE DEPARTMENT RATING: I have taken my 2006 Prius here several times to get an oil change. While I live in Portland and have two other Toyota service centers closer to me, I prefer this location as the folks here have far superior service and much better prices. Every time I come here I feel like they genuinely appreciate my business. It is worth the extra drive for me. One other high note, they offer free-​wifi with desk areas to work while you wait. I highly recommend giving Royal Moore Toyota Service Department your business.

Excellent customer service and very helpful. Very knowledgeable people in the Service & Parts departments. The prices are roughly what you’d expect of a dealership but they’re SUPER easy to work with if something doesn’t go quite right (with a repair).
I discovered my coolant was a tad low and the reservoir was empty; they filled the reservoir and topped-​off the radiator for free. No questions, no hard time — they just did it.
My family has purchased three vehicles from Royal Moore (Tacoma and two Camrys). I’ll be back when my 05 Tacoma stops working (146k and counting) which may be a few years.
Really, the best dealership in the area.

We purchased both of our Toyotas at Gresham Toyota, but since we moved to this side of town in 06 we’ve had our cars serviced here. With very few problems. They’re not pushy and I think they’re pretty honest.
The service desk people are very nice and professional. I always call to make an appt first, especially if I want to come on a Saturday morning. They’re open half days Saturday and they get busy. I’d never expect to show up on the last couple hours and get in. It’s too jammed up with people who can’t bring their cars in during the week. We typically take their earliest time, then leave it there while we go eat breakfast at Hales’. Its usually done by the time we’re through eating.
They have wi-​fi and desks, chairs, tv, toys, sometimes coffee and even in the past there were cookies in the waiting room. Its pretty basic but clean. The restrooms are also clean. There’s a nice man to drive me to work if I need it. He calls me «lady» (he sounds just like Andre the giant from Princess Bride). They will also do loaner cars if needed. They used to vacuum the car before they gave it back but no more. Sigh. Those were the days.
There are coupons on email and in our mailbox. This time I had no coupon but I got money off each thing we did.
All in all a good experience. I used to spend tons of time in auto places with my lemon cars (a 74 plymouth Valiant and a 76 Ford Mustang… don’t ask, pointing finger at my dad. Ahem). This is one of the better ones.
The only thing they lose a star for is sometimes your write up from a service goes right to the cashier (for an oil change) and you will notice as you’re leaving that your car needs something else. If they would tell us while car is still back there, we would maybe opt to have the new thing done right then if they could… or they could have the service rep explain that they couldn’t do it today but offer to make you another appointment.
Having to go home and call in to deal with it later isn’t ideal. This most recent visit I bypassed this by loudly telling the cashier no one had talked to me yet and someone hustled over. I was nice though, really I promise I was. This gripe is minor though really.
Our cars are out of warranty (paid off!) but I still think this is a good choice on the west side versus some random garage. I find the haters here surprising. That just hasnt been our experience at either the auto repair or collision department.
They are our go to and its working fine.

I have been coming here for my ’91 Toyota LandCruiser for years. Preston at the service desk is awesome. Just don’t make the same mistake I did one day and start messing with your cell while you are still standing there at the desk. He appreciates a good old dependable, solid car like my Sasha and some good old fashion manners. Love it because I am big on manners myself, minus my moment of rudeness, lol. I highly recommend this place for all of your Toyota needs.

At close to 31, I am finally in the market to buy a car. My mother suggested that I visit this dealership because of their great warranty on new cars.
our first sales guy is super nice and spends time talking to me about the cars, and helping me pick out one with options and such that i want. then we sit and wait and wait for the sales manager. who brings a number that’s not where i expected. and then we wait some more. and some more after that. we see the sales manager running over and helping other customers.
our poor sales rep finally goes to ask him what’s up. and he comes back and says there’s no way the sales manager can do it at that price (and yes, it was way low. but i had been open to negotiating – if they had let me). nothing. i mean, the sales manager couldn’t even come out and say this himself. i realize that it’s busy. really. but a handshake at the end would have been nice.
