The staff is really friendly. They carry a pretty wide variety of shoe styles in the store and they are all really comfortable. I love that they will order whatever shoes you like from their vendors, so if they don’t have the color I want or style they can order it for me with no obligation.

Great service and great knowledge about products. I am German and grew up on Birkenstock shoes. My feed will thank me later. I will be back to get me more working shoes for sure.

Wonderful customer service. Not pushy at all and very friendly and knowledgeable. All these Birkenstocks may be a bit more expensive than what you find online, it is worthwhile to support a local business.

I have been dealing with Montague and Son for 20 years. This is not just a shoe store. This is a place where you go to get the best quality footwear and the best education on how to take care of your feet and learn what shoes are right for you. It is easy to be fooled by the many imitators out there. Penny Montague is an amazing human being not just in the care she takes with each customer, but in the integrity and high standards with which she and Peter both run their business. These are wonderful people and I am proud to know them and eager take their advice. They also hire only people who meet their high standards. While it is true that I have bought many pairs of shoes from Montague and Son over the years, it has been worth every penny andI wish I could buy more. I would also add that this is a place I love to go to laugh and have fun. My thanks to everyone at Montague and Son for taking such good care of me… and my feet!

Penney is the most knowledgeable shoe expert around. When you were young you could buy any shoe and be comfortable however not the same when you are older. Sure these shoes are expensive you are buying the best. However if you buy good shoes all your knee and back problems might disappear. Penney always takes so much time with every customer and she knows her business as well as abnormalities with feet, knees and backs. Trust me when I say it will be the best money you have ever spent on yourself.

Penny has a great selection sizes and designs of Danskos and Birkenstocks. They have a gracious exchange policy. Check out their sales.

they really do have a great selection of birkenstocks and dansko clogs. you WILL pay somewhat more than online but the customer service is wonderful, and danskos are really hard to order online – they need to be tried on, sizing is not consistent and the accurate fit needed to be explained – most newbies buy them too small. They have become my husband’s new favorite shoe store because of the service. It is in a strip mall on Elden street and you can park right nearby or in front of the store. If service is important to you – shop nere for your foot friendly shoes.

I have been trying to find a good shoe as I have foot issues. Been purchasing at Comfort One to find out they were not sizing me right for Dansko’s. Went to Montague and the ladies were a wealth of information and I found the right shoe, right size. These ladies know their products. I have exchanged a few and the customer service is wonderful. For the record wearing a Dansko, they should be loose.

Overpriced shoes and the little dog in the store nips. Be careful if u take small children may get bit. Shoes are a good thirty dollars overprice vs amazon. Nice people but not worth the extra cost and drive.

I always bring my Birkenstocks here to get them repaired and they have them turned around quickly and cheaply. Everyone here is super hippie-like friendly, too.

I purchased a pair of tsunami sandals for about 150 bucks. when the straps broke I was just out of luck. The store had promoted the idea that if the straps break the store would mail them out and get them repaired or replaced… they made quite a big deal about this. The straps did break in many places.. so just be aware — no fixes no returns. Regardless of their promises. Also when I called the distribution center in California — no help there either. Kind of expensive shoes and they can break easily.
