Paul is great! Came to help me with my locks within an hour of calling him. I also called two other locksmiths in the area and he was by far the most reasonable pricing. Would highly recommend him to anyone!

When me and my boyfriend locked ourselves out of the bathroom, Paul showed up within 20 min and had the door open and a new and improved lock set on the door in less than 15 min. The price was more than fair and we have no doubt who we will be calling next time we lock ourselves out.

Paul is the man! He came out to my apt within 15 minutes. My deadbolt was a beast and he broke two drill bits during the process of trying to get me back into my apt. I called Paul to change the locks on our home after we move. He came that same day and even if it was a short call he came early and very quickly went to check our locks and re-​keyed all doors. He even save us $$ by just using the excisting locks and bolts in the house. He is very patient with a very eager to help 3 yr old. I will definetely recommend Paul anytime and will call him again should we need his service.

Paul answered the phone! Has it been an emergency, he would have come out; we made an appointment for 1:00 to 2:00. He was a few minutes early, and asked if that was okay. Then he quickly rekeyed our outside doors, and asked enough questions so I actually remembered how many keys we need. What a nice man! He even lubricated one knob lock so it works easily. I AM SO PLEASED!!!

Paul was great! I was able to reach him on my first attempt and he arrived quickly and according to his estimated arrival. He did a great job and was done in a flash. Hopefully my toddler won’t be locking any more doors in our home, but if she does, we know who to call!

Went to visit a friend at the bay area and locked my keys in my car, I never thought it would happen to me because I’m a locksmith myself.

If I had a sixth or seventh star, I’d choose it. We recently purchased a home in San Leandro and found we didn’t have keys are more than a few doors. Yikes! I found Paul on Unilocal and checked out his reviews. I called him at 10:00am and he arrived in 45 minutes. In addition to being a talented locksmith, he’s a kind, good person. Paul came to rekey my new house the next morning after I called. From beginning to end my experience with Paul was great. He’s efficient, punctual as noted by others, and highly communicative. He also has a kind and gentle presence, which is a really nice bonus. He was great with my 3-​year old son who was very curious about everything going on.
Paul is knowledgeable and straightforward, and I went ahead and stored his number in my phone for future lockouts and locksmithing needs.

I called Paul in to my new house that I’d just bought as I wanted to re-​key every single door (I don’t trust anyone, I’ll admit, and thus did it immediately) as well as replace the door handle/​lock/​deadbolt on the front door as it was one of those awful electric ones.
He turned up on time (10am on the dot), looked at every lock, and told me immediately he wasn’t sure he’d be able to do the front door lock, but he’d do everything he could. He scouted the rest, was nice when I said «watch out, the tiny dog is also not fond of new people» and kept the doors closed as much as possible.
By the time he was done, which took at most an hour, he had re-​keyed everything, put on a brand new deadbolt/​handle on the front door (and made it a smooth lock/​handle). He also found that the back door’s latch had locked permanently in place, and he replaced it.
He’s very, very nice, cleaned up well and was even really nice when I accidentally had him boxed him by someone else arriving. A+. Nobody else is worth calling.

I wanted to make sure I write Paul a 5 star review as soon as I arrived home, and here’s why:
I called Paul for an eviction lockout that was scheduled at 1:10pm. He said that he usually arrives 10 to 15 minute’s before the sheriff shows up, so we agreed to be there at 1pm. He arrived promptly at 1pm. He was very friendly and professional, and proceeded to wait with me for the sheriff. At 1:15pm, I called the Sheriff’s office, who informed me that they are running about half an hour late. I relay this to Paul, and he patiently waited with me for another half an hour!
At 1:45pm I called the office again and was told that the lockout had been canceled!!! Without getting too much into the details, basically our psycho tenant found YET ANOTHER paper-​to-​file-​need-​to-​wait-​for-​court-​hearing tactic, in order to delay the eviction.
At this point I am utterly frustrated, not to mention that I felt really bad that Paul had to wait for what turned out to be nothing, but he completely sympathized with my anger (as we’ve been chatting about the whole eviction situation while waiting). And when I offered to pay him for the trouble of coming out here, he refused it. He said just call him when the lockout gets schedule next time. I mean if that doesn’t attest to his work ethics, then I don’t know what does.
I wanted to share this long review because I genuinely appreciated his patience in dealing with my case (and the gloriously infuriating eviction process). So often as consumers, we forget to write the good reviews, and focus solely on the complaints instead.
I think you will find Paul and his business to be honest and professional; one that WILL NOT try to rip you off or overcharge. I will be calling him again when the lockout is scheduled for next time, and for future lock-​related needs as well!
