Great prices, great brands, fast attentive service! I compared and did not find a cheaper price but what really drew me in were the positive Unilocal reviews. I had to wait and kept reading horrible reviews from the big chain stores. I’m so happy I came here! They took me at my appointment time and were finished in the time frame they quoted. I never heard them trying to sell a customer anything they didn’t need either. That’s so refreshing in today’s money hungry society! I’ll be back.

Phil’s to the rescue. Again. I had a flat in my drive way last night and by 4pm today I had two new rear tires. I called at 10am and was told they had to order the tires but they would be delivered to their shop around 4pm. I drove over there at 4pm and by 5:15 I was on the road again. I asked for reasonable rates and the price they made me was way below what I expected to pay. Next will be the front tires but that’s not an emergency yet. I definitely will have Phil’s do the work on the front tires too. Auto repair shops can be a very scary place for a woman alone but these guys took all the scariness out of it and made me feel like a very special person.

I had a leak in a tire and I had to get to the doctors appt soon and they took me quickly and fixed the tire right away. Very courteous and helpful!

My tire sprung a leak while I was on the way to Half Moon Bay for a meeting, and this seemed to be the only choice in town to get it repaired. Fortunately they were fast, courteous, and inexpensive. When I told him I had a meeting in 30 minutes they prioritized my fix and had me back on the road in 20 minutes. I really appreciated that. They definitely live up to their high star rating.

Saw this place on Unilocal and was right around the corner from my job so I decided to Come in here during my lunch to get a nail out of my tire and to patch it up they told it would be a couple hours, came back at 4:15 and my car was still outside with the flat. Never did they call me to tell me it was going to take longer very bad customer service !!

These guys do great work, they’re super trustworthy and reliable, and they charge reasonable prices. We take our Lexus and BMW here whenever possible for anything that pops up.

Just stopped by here to see if they could put on (1) lug nut. One of mine had fallen out somewhere so I was a little uneasy with 1 missing lug. I got a spare from a buddy, went down to Phil’s in the morning and asked if they would slap this lug on real quick. Without hesitation they put it on for me real quick. I thank you for this guys. I have been here before for some other type of maintenance a couple years ago and they gave me a reasonable quote for the work done and performed it in the time they quoted. Auto shops are hard to gauge but my experience here thus far has been good. There was a local guy that slapped on my lug and while he was on that wheel he went over the other 5 lugs on that wheel while he was at it so I appreciate supporting locals especially when they take the extra 3 seconds to check the rest of the lugs.

I called for tires and got a quote from Jim, he ordered the tires for the next day — due to my work scheduel and the hours they were open I could not get there before or after work in time for the installation — he did them on my lunch break! My car was ready in less than 40 minutes. Great service Jim! Thank you very much. btw the tires feel great too.

I was impressed by the service I received at Phil’s Tire & Auto. My check engine light came on over the weekend so I called them on Monday morning. They said «sure, bring it in» and it was ready the same day! They did a tune up and other stuff to my car and OMG she runs so good now! She must’ve have a wheatgrass power smoothie or something cause she has acceleration and power like she hasn’t had in a while!
I am just so grateful that they were able to do all this work and have it back to me the same day (on a Monday no less!) I live in Hayward and I was headed home on Tuesday morning so this was wonderful timing!
They will definitely have my repeat business.

Very responsive in getting me a quote, ordered the tires I wanted in a flash and fit me in to change the tires out that same week.
Did a great job on the install, balancing and alignment. My husband said he was able to go for 5 minutes on a freeway straightaway without having to adjust course via the steering wheel.
They flagged my worn-​out brakes for me but were super-​chill and low-​pressure when I declined to have them done that day.
Only reason 4 stars and not five is that it took so long. I was given an estimated time of completion of 1:30pm when I dropped it off. Called them at 2:30pm to be told it would need until 3:30pm.

I’ve been to Phil’s Tire twice now since we moved to HMB in August. The first time my fiancé needed a new tire put on his Mini Cooper after one went flat. Phil’s didn’t have the right kind of tire so my fiancé bought 2 new tires online and then brought them in. They were put on very quickly and we appreciated that Phil’s would put on tires that weren’t purchased at the store. The second time we went to Phil’s to have a wheel replaced on my Alero after a minor accident cracked the back wheel. Both times prices were very reasonable and service was fast, friendly, and professional. Highly recommend!

I take my car to Phil’s because they take great care of my car. I never have to worry about what they have done or the price they charge because they are always fair. Jim and Jason are great. They go above and beyond the call of duty. The guys that actually work on the cars have been there year after year so they must like it there and they must be doing a good job.

The last time I went to Phil’s is the last time I’ll ever go to Phil’s. Having been going there for years, I took my car in for new tires. Having taken time off from work, they do the job and I pay them and drive off… only to find my car pulls strongly to the right.
I return to the shop and rather than re-​align them, they tell me «Just drive it hard for three days or so and if its not fixed, bring the car back in».
Let me get this straight… I’m not happy with the job you did, And I should drive for three days on winding mountain roads and Coast-​side cliffs unsafely, and then take MORE time off from work so you can correct your mistake?
Take my picture, boys, because you won’t ever see my face in your shop again! I go to Angelo’s right down the street where I get top-​notch service at a better price.

My husband had gotten a flat at midnight the night before and drove home on his spare. I called Phil’s the next day and asked if they had 4 new tires four his SUV and they said yes, or that they could get them the same day. So my husband took the car to the shop that same day and got 4 brand new tires. Price was good, I love spending my money local, and they did a great job! THey also did a lockout for us, since we couldn’t pick up the car before closing.

These guys are awesome! Several months ago we had a tire blowout and had to put the spare on for a little while. Sears is a clusterfuck and couldn’t fit us in for the start-​to-​finish replacement during our non-​work hours so we ended up saying fuck it, dropping the rim off with them to mount the new tire, and picking it up later. I wouldn’t have even wasted my time with them in the first place except we bought the original tire from them and were replacing it under the road hazard thingy. ANYWAY… so we picked up our rim with the nice new tire on it and went home. I’m no stranger to changing tires, but on our Bimmer, it can be a huge pain in the ass. So instead of doing it at home with a clunky old jack and tire iron, I just took it over to Phil’s to get it switched over. Those impact wrenches and lifts are a LOT faster at the job! The guys took the car in and switched the tire over and when I asked what I owed them, they said a big fat zero. OMG! Yay!
Because of that, I remembered them last week when we had another flat (FML) but one which was at least repairable. We also needed our two front tires replaced and I was not about to waste my time at Sears again. Long story short, the flat repair was done for $ 30 and the two front tires we got were of a higher quality than the ones we got at Sears and actually LESS expensive. I was prepared to spend a lot more and was pretty shocked when they told me the cost.
The guys at the desk are super friendly and very helpful by the way. Extra points for Jason who is a big ray of sunshine! :D
We’ll be coming here for all of our tire stuff from this point on. And since we have 3 cars, I think they’ll be seeing a lot of us…

We have been taking our cars almost exclusively to Phil’s for our auto service needs. This is the place to go for honest, reliable work at reasonable prices. Their regular oil change includes a tire rotation which most places don’t include.

This place is awesome. The guys who work here are super friendly honest people, the work is great and the prices are very fair.
If I can help it I won’t go anywhere else, Phil’s Tires has earned my business as a long-​term customer.
