Residence Inn Grand Junction

We decided to stay here as our first overnight stop as we made our cross country trip from Las Vegas to Massachusetts. I was greeted by a very nice woman upon check-​in. There were issues with her computer so check in took a little bit longer than usual but I didn’t mind. We went up to our one bedroom suite and it was clean. There were two televisions, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The sofa bed was Ok but housekeeping didn’t leave the correct linens for the sofa bed. It should have been a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, a blanket, and a pillow, but instead they left two flat sheets with no extra pillow. It was a good thing the bed in the bedroom had for pillows.
Breakfast in the morning was fine, nothing too special. It wasn’t busy at all so that was good.
Plenty of parking and plenty of places to eat in the area.

One of the best hotels I’ve been to. The hotel atmosphere was so warm and I felt so comfortable staying there. Staff was friendly and professional. The suite room was spacious and very very clean. There was even a little kitchen with a microwave, big fridge, and oven. This is a 3-​star hotel but felt like a 4-​star.

Every thing you expect from a Residence Inn. Breakfast is ok with weird shaped scrambled eggs. Powder???

What separates hotel chains? They are all clean, service is generally good, Tv’s work. In my mind it’s the extras like Internet service. It’s been my experience (platinum member) that marriott treat the internet like its the 50’s. This hotel is no exception, just terrible. I didn’t bother calling customer support as it’s always the same story, not enough band width. Come on marriott, it’s not dial up any longer.

Excellent staff! HONEST people! They treated me like a queen. They knew I was in business and made sure I was taken care of. I will be back to this location for sure.

I’d say I’ve been here long enough to give a valid review… Relocating to the area & spent more than a week. Very happy with our stay. Breakfast plus app/​dinner daily really helped us get through our days of house hunting. All the staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating. The hot tub & pool, basketball court, and workout room were all part of our daily activities. Free internet kept us Intouch & entertained & it let you stay on for up to a month I think, without having to sign on every time, like other places we’ve stayed. The kitchenette, bathrooms, & living areas of our room were very clean and most of the accessories seemed new. If I need spend more than a night or 2 at a hotel I will be looking for another Marriott’s Resident Inn.

Great place to stay. Ample breakfast and evening social hour have great selection of food and drink. Of course it’s not «fine» dining but nothing to complain about, it’s better than average. Super views of the Grand Mesa. Friendly, accommodating staff. Clean, safe, modern and comfortable. Wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else next time.

Three stars because it is an average Residence Inn, and upon check-​in, check-​out and breakfast (my husband and I only had coffee, my daughter had a waffle, so I can’t speak of the quality)… the staff was wonderful.
However, I am reducing my rating by two stars for the following reasons.
–Hotel needs a bit of an update. It is an older style Residence Inn, and a the location is not fantastic by any means.
–There was an awful, awful smell coming from our bathroom sink. Being that the sink is in the bedroom, it was not bearable except for when we closed the drain and opened a window.
–My daughter got into my purse and removed my headphones without me knowing it. I know exactly where she did it and where they would be. I called the evening of our departure and they are gone. I hope their housekeeper is enjoying her new Marley headphones acquired from my stay. My daughter apparently left them as a present just for you. I know it my fault for losing them, but I really get upset by unethical housekeepers, especially as we tip quite generously and considering we are Platinum Elite.

Good hotel. Exceptionally friendly staff, clean rooms, free wifi that’s not a hassle to set up, decent breakfast. My only complaint is the noise from what I think is a noisy HVAC system. The noise was noticeable in our room and in the corridor. It appeared that some of the noise came from an outside unit. This was especially annoying as I had requested a quiet room after having previously stayed in a room next to the parking lot. I woke up to the sound of a diesel-​powered pickup truck being warmed up for about 15 min. A maintenance man later told me, «Oh, he (?) always does it.». Great. My advice: don’t get a room next to the parking lot and check out the ambient noise level in the room you are given before you unpack.

Great place to stay and they allow pets. The continental breakfast takes you around the world too… Especially the Belgian waffles.

I would strongly recommend against considering this hotel. We recently reserved a weekend stay there 5 months in advance, with advance/​prepayment for the rate. When we were 15 minutes away from Grand Junction on the day of our arrival, we received a voicemail from them stating that they were going to cancel our reservation because of an issue with the credit card (the expiration date had changed in the 5 months since the original booking). We immediately called them back to supply the new card information, only to find out that they had already given our room to someone else. Despite pointing out the absurdity of their action, they refused to honor the reservation.
Please consider whether you’re willing to risk literal last-​minute reneging on a reservation before you consider this hotel for your travel.

This is everything you look for in a Residence Inn: quiet, clean, convenient, good breakfast, attentive staff. First rate!

Very friendly staff and a nice clean room. Front desk staff and housekeeping staff were fantastic! This is the second closest hotel to the airport and they also offer well lit parking. A free airport shuttle is also provided.
Breakfast was almost the same every day. I am not a fan of their scrambled eggs that taste like they are powdered. Ham was offered every day (how about sausage or bacon occasionally?), waffles, bagels, english muffins, a fresh fruit (honeydew, pineapple) and some kind of potatoes that were empty whenever we ate breakfast and were not refilled. They also had oatmeal, muffins and cereal.
I used to stay at Residence Inns years ago and attend their evening receptions. They used to offer alcoholic beverages but it appears they no longer do. They had a southwestern salad night that had bland diced chicken with lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, onions and the usual salad dressings. Spicing up the chicken and a few more toppings would have improved it. Comfort food night was a baked potato bar that was very good with a cheese sauce, beans and potato fixings. Cookies are also offered.
The reception is offered M-​W evenings from 6 – 7:30pm in the lobby. They even offered the reception on Labor Day.
They have a computer and printer in the lobby for guest use.
If the food offerings improved I would have given this 5 stars. Check out the promo rates as we scored a big drop in rates right before our visit.

A fantastic, accommodating hotel! Love the spacious suite rooms, love the complimentary breakfasts and afternoon /​evening social snacks (with adult beverages) love that they take dogs because they are part of the family too! The staff were super friendly, Patricia gave us great recommendations on where to go for dinner and, what to see and do in the Junction. Love the attention to detail the cleaning staff bring to the cleaning of the suites, loved the comfy beds… Loved the free wifi in the rooms. felt like home away from home! Went into the pool and the gym– the pool was great but the jacuzzi might have been over chlorinated as the water burned my eyes… Other from that– a perfect stay! Highly recommend this hotel if you’re in Grand Junction!

Friendly staff, free breakfast, new-​ish rooms and carpet, free wi-​fi in rooms!
Stayed here with a friend — there are no king bed rooms — strike against.
The pullout couch was comfy, kitchen well set up.
Good options for the free breakfast and the coffee dispensers fit a travel mug!
Good location right off the highway.
Fitness room is just ok — not enough equipment, but there were options.

Very good continental breakfast. Free beer, soda and a hot snack on Monday nights (I think Tuesday and Wednesday as well).
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping did a fair job, though they forgot to clean one of the bedrooms on our first day.
Includes a pool, a decent sized fitness room and laundry services ($ 1 per machine).
I didn’t find the beds to be all that comfortable and the bedroom also got kind of cold at night. There was no place to adjust the heat in the bedroom alone. The thermostat was for for the whole suite so that was a little inconvenient, since my sister and I like to be nice and warm and cozy at night and our father would prefer to sleep in the refrigerator.
Overall, it was a good experience. I’d definitely go back if I were going to be in Grand Junction again.

Residence Inns are really great places to stay when you need to set up a home base for more than a night or two. I like the idea of having a kitchen with a sink, dishwasher, fridge, and stove top. While I didn’t use it, I liked knowing it was there. My dad works on the road a lot and stays in residence inns all the time and they essentially are his home away from home.
We were there for three nights and each night something was going on down in the lobby! Free beer and wine nights on Mondays and Wednesdays and every other Tuesday there is some other kind of social event. The staff were all REALLY friendly and helpful. It’s nicely appointed with a gym, billiards, pool, hot tub, and full breakfast in the morning.
I will always be happy to stay at Marriott hotels!
