Fastlane Smog & Oil Change

Fast and friendly service! Told me when I should get some other things done but didn’t try and push it on me. As well as took the time to answer some random vehicle questions I had without pushing me out the door. Personable and to the point.

Just called to ask pricing and person on phone grunted a few times and stated «me no speak english», and hung up. I thought maybe I had called the wrong number, but it was the correct phone #.

Honest and helpful people! I went there two weeks ago because I needed to change my transmission fluid. I planned on doing it myself but I couldn’t get the plug loose from the awkward position on the ground. Anyway, I walked in ready to pay for the service but after explaining my problem, the employee offered to put my car on the lift and crack the bolt for me free of charge. Nice to know there are some honest mechanics who like to help people out instead of looking for every opportunity to make more money!

I took my car to these guys after Smog It tried to rip me off. Came in on a Saturday, only one car in front of me. The guys were really helpful, checked me in right away. I asked if it would be ok for me to go grab some food with my boyfriend while they were doing it and they said sure, it will be done when I got back. Sure enough, it was all ready, they handed me my passing papers and told me they went ahead and sent the info to the dmv for me. I will definitely come back to these guys for my next smog!

I went over with my van on a Saturday and there were a few cars in front of me in line. They were still able to get me smog checked in about 20 minutes. You can ask that the coupons online be applied. The guy who did the smog and the guy who did the paperwork and took my money were polite and helpful. Several chairs with magazines… relatively comfortable and very fast.
I’ll come back for an oil change.

1-​star rating for the guy at the Goleta location who had me position my RV close to the smog machine, only to tell me he couldn’t do it. Then had me to go the State Street location only to be told that my RV needed an enhanced smog check. They recommended Smog It, and that was the only reason why I took it there.
Smog It in Santa Barbara (at the corner of Haley and Olive) ripped me off by charging me $ 40 extra ($ 92 total) just because I had an RV. Even though my Emissions passed, they failed me due to the visual inspection, and told me that it might cost over $ 1000 to fix. Those guys are crooks!

Went over on a Sunday to get a smog check, only had to wait about 5 minutes before they ran the check. It was really cold out so one of the mechanics offered to close the sliding door to keep me warm. He gave me a coupon which saved me $ 20, which I used to take my significant other and I out to lunch. Easy, no hassles, good price, nice people.

Dropped in today to get my car smogged. Left after 15 minutes because my presence wasn’t acknowledged. They should install mirrors or something like most auto service places have so they can monitor the front desk while working.

Great local Smog Check Station. Open 7 days a week, no appointment necessary. They told me about an online promotion where I could get a 15% discount coupon. Terry Brantly the General Manager was quick and kind and courteous and made a fuss over my little 23 year old Geo Spectrum passing the Smog Check with Flying Colors. Very positive experience right on the main drag in Goleta!
