If you’ve been to Break Time, you know it is truly a hidden gem. With five pool tables, an 18′ shuffleboard, two dart boards, awesome bartenders, and great drink specials, it is definitely the place to be. Come in on Sundays during NFL for every game and free hot dogs. Monday Night Football rocks on our 10′ projector screen. Wednesday night is College night with black-​light billiards. We also host local bands and special occasion parties. With a fun and comfortable vibe it’s the place where in-​the-​know locals choose to hang. So come check out our nightly late night happy hour or Trivia Night on Thursdays. Bring a friend or make a new one!

Never knew this place even existed, but it’s quite a gem. The bartender was so friendly, and my friends & I felt very welcome. The crowd was kind of all over the place, but so far it’s the best bar I’ve been to in Goleta. Check in on Unilocal for a free hour of shuffleboard or pool! Looking forward to going back there again!

They had every football game on, free pool and even let my dog run around off his leash. Awesome place! Plus, the bartender was very nice and accommodating and she even gave us our sodas for free! Five stars from me.

This is a very cool, low key dive bar! I loved it and will definitely come back!!! To me, it’s like a hidden little gem. The people were cool as can be and everybody was just having a nice time. Can’t wait to come back!

Was there a few months ago, found something lacking. Not the same. For years, when I came back to town I would stop by and talk to the bartenders and people I knew. My favorites are gone. Came back recently and still something is missing and not as friendly. Since old time is gone, will be back when I am here.

Decent pool tables, but customer service is not a priority. We have been here a couple of times. The first time we went, the bartender spoke only necessary words before going back to her corner and her local fan club. The second time we went, it was pretty busy. I went up to the bar, and found out that since I didn’t have a penis, I was invisible… after waiting for her to wait on three guys who came after me… I went back to my husband… sans drinks… he went up and was served immediately. The only reason I gave it three stars, is that the locals are friendly, and it is a dog friendly venue…

This place is quite dive-​y, and that’s not really my scene, so take my review with a grain of salt.
The bartenders are okay but surprisingly don’t seem to enjoy socializing with new customers. It’s a little gross inside, and my beer was a little warmer than it should be. As Unilocal says, three stars means A-​OK, and that’s exactly the perfect way to characterize this bar.

Great place to wait while having your oil changed. A decent old dude even tried to pick me up which made my day. Thank you men, for never giving up. My glass of wine was good and priced right. A little more light in there would be nice.

This place is a great dive bar. Cheap drinks, unleashed dogs, and sticky floors. Oh and pool! All in all, great fun. I will definitely be back. PS. The owner is the sweetest lady in existence!

A dive bar if their ever was one. Cool thing about this place is that dogs are allowed. Saw 3 or so parties with a dog with them. Low-​key, grab a beer kind of place.

Dive bar, with the bartender that was slower then molasses, but he was a cute little old guy I guess it would make more sense if it was a speakeasy or something, but nonetheless a new experience. My girlfriend plays darts there so I usually go and watch her and have a couple corona’s, lot of elderly people but very friendly :)

The bar tender working here last night completely ignored my friends and I when we went to order drinks.
The only thing he was busy doing was talking or staring for the whole 15 minutes he made me wait, at some college kids who didn’t need help or drinks; until he finally let me know that ‘I need to wait a minute’.

I didn’t go here to see the game. But they had a number of big screens with games on. I loved the bartenders! One of them gave me painkillers to help me with my headache so I could drink more. God-​sent he was.
Unleashed dogs are allowed inside by the way, for those who mind. And they are fed dog treats at the counter. Cocktails are also cheap and fairly strong.

By far, the best locals bar in SB! Always feels welcoming, like coming home. The drink specials make everyone feel like a regular. Free popcorn can be a great substitution for dinner (or at least that’s what my girlfriends jokingly say). I’ve been here a few times and it’s become my new favorite spot.

My cousin brought us to this place. We’d been to some other area bar the night before, and it wasn’t a chill, good time like we wanted.
So, I was happy that Break Time brought us the relaxed experience we were looking for. Comfy chairs, lotsa space, kind bartender = success.
It would probably actually be a 3.5 and I am rounding up because I am not familiar with this area at all and I got a nice vibe. And my cousin was happy!
