This place has the BESTBURGER in Glendale. That’s right. Better than In n Out, Islands, or Tavern on Brand. You’ll just have to try it. Plus $ 4 beers during happy hour? Yup

I can’t believe I’ve been going here on an almost weekly basis and have yet to write a review! This is HANDSDOWNMYFAVORITEBARINLA. I just moved here about 7 months ago and my best friend and I were walking around the Americana when we first found out we got approved for our apartment. We immediately needed a celebratory drink. As we were walking around, desperately looking for alcohol(jk-ish), I stumbled upon a moose. Literally. A moose. Pretty sure it hypnotized me to descend down that magical staircase because I immediately walked in. That’s when we met, Clark and Chris; I have never felt so welcomed and so at home. We continued to go on a weekly basis as we job searched. #TheStruggleIsReal Once we found jobs, we –okay I should stop. This is not about me. It’s about Moose Den. The staff is incredibly friendly and down to earth. There are a multitude of opportunities to entertain yourself(of course alcohol should be enough, but ya know, some people aren’t as creative as me); there are board games, pool, darts, tv’s playing sports and/or tv shows etc. Tuesdays are devoted to karaōke, Wednesdays have bingo, and recently they had a comedy night which I can’t believe I missed because I’m fucking hilarious, but whatever. Overall this place is fan-fucking-tasic. The energy is great, the staff is amazing, and the food is absolutely bomb dot com. Seriously. They have the best carne asada fries in the world, chorizo mac and cheese, sausage board(which I have yet to try but it sounds like a good time) and more. If you’re looking for a fun night out on a weekend, or a relaxed, yet still entertaining weekday, come to Moose Den. And if you want to see who I am, because honestly who wouldn’t, then come to Moose Den. I’m there pretty much everyday. I live in the box by the dumpster in back. Come say hi.

The postives is that the food was brought out fast. The mac n cheese is great. It is Cheesy and creamy. The fries are a little to salty. The dollar off beer happy hour was great. It was busy but the staff was friendly. The other negative is I felt as the ac wasnt on. It is below 70 outside and cool but inside the bar it was 85 plus. I would of stayed longer but the heat was getting to me.

Good food earned the four stars. The place is fine although seems somewhat confused on what style it’s going for. It’s hard to hear because of the acoustics. Hopefully that is fixed.

Great little pub in Glendale with cheap drinks and lots of bar games. They have darts, pool, shuffle board, and an assortment of board games. It’s a perfect place to get together with a group of people and have a good time. One surprising aspect was the great old fashioned one of the bartenders made. He used some Moroccan bitters with the Rye I chose and made a perfect Old Fashioned. I think I might come back here just for this!

Found this gem on a day when we were bored just trying to kill time. We didn’t expect to spend half our day down in this underground bar, but that is exactly what happened. The bartender, Nick, was the highlight of our time spent there. I felt like I had known him for years as we chatted for hours. He was attentive and makes a great mule. We left to go to another bar I had bookmarked but went back to Moose just after one drink. As the night went on, we made friends with one of the regulars and we were all playing music trivia with Nick. Had a blast and will definitely go back when we are in town.

Definitely one of my favorite bars in the area. The owner is a really nice guy, the bouncer is a badass, and everyone in the place treats each other like friends. Definitely the best staff to interact with. Food and beer are also phenomenal.

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Pool table, dart boards, shuffle board, and foosball are all available if you leave an ID. They also have different games like Jenga and connect four to use. Awesome beer choices. Not the run of the mill crappy bud lights here. Burgers and fries are pretty badass too. I have come here a few times and all but one have been pleasant. The last time I went, they were closing out my tab when my debit card went missing. The bartender who literally just had it in his hand misplaced it and because of that, I ended up having a nice big charge at the buffet up the street. Alas, I’ll be coming back. Just not opening a tab this time around

It’s a cozy fun basement bar. I love that they have games like Jenga and Connect 4. I just wish the corn hole game wasn’t on the stage where it feels like you’re on display. Darts are fun. You just need to lend them your ID to get some darts. They have a nice selection of beer. They also have copper mugs for Moscow mules. It didn’t get super busy for a Friday night, which I prefer. But maybe it was a off nice. The bar is casual and fun. I’m a fan.

After wondering the hood of Glendale(more of a cookie cutter lately), we notice these stairs that lead into a basement. Out of curiosity, we trekked down the mysterious passage that opened into a large room. The place had just opened for the day and the crowd was slowly building up. There were several tables and multiple lounge areas spread out. But what was a nice touch was the dart board and games. This is an absolutely the perfect spot to unwind and hang out with friends. Liked how spacious the joint was although not certain how busy the place gets in the evening. They have a wide selection of drinks and several tvs hanging behind the bar. Staff was friendly and attentive, this little spot was perfect to start off the night. To play darts, walk to the bar area to borrow darts, they’ll loan out as long as they can hold your id. So if you are wondering where to meet up with friends or wanna play with your date a game of Jenga, come here. Just make sure to let them win if you are trying to get points, nobody likes a show off.

I would definitely go here for a gathering again because there’s lots of things to do and they have lots of beer and they have an array of food. I brought people here for my birthday gathering and I would say it was a success! *Games — They have a various amount of games to play from foosball, skiball, and a set of dart board. Then there are board games and jenga bricks around the tables to play with. This definitely is an ice breaker from people having a hard time filling up a conversation, which I would prefer playing competitvely. *Poutine Fries — These are the greatest when you are at your whits end from beer after beer and you need something to fill you up with carbs. I would say not the best poutine I’ve had, but the best compliment with beers at this establishment. *Beers and Service — They have a good list of beers, not the longest, but enough for everyone of different beer types. They of course had IPA’s for those people, dark, pale ale, lagers, and pilsers and lights for the easy going people. I actually got a free beer because they ran out of the one I had and gave me a free one. It was pretty awesome. Thank you for the service and kicking us out when we were belligerent. That’s what birthday’s are for!

I love the moose den. From the bouncer to the drinks. Such a fun little basement bar on brand. There are a bunch of games and lots of seating for you and your friends. I’ve gone a couple times already with a group of friends, we get some beers and play jenga. There are also dart boards you can play with. The bartenders are loads of fun and very knowledgeable, they always give me the best suggestions. Lots of fun you can have here for a fun, chill night in Glendale.

Came here for Halloween with my local ghouls and goblins. We had a drink here and played with the dart games! It was my first time and I can tell you I was not that great. They need more chalk, we had little nibbles to draw or write with. There wasn’t much people there but it also has this college feel to it. My translation of college feel, over-rated, baby power trips with young bouncers. You turn back as you hear a comment and you’re like what the? Did that young guy say something? Lol if you can deal with it enter… I’m sure it could be a fun night but I wasn’t feeling the vibe there too much. It was good for one drink and a game. And I’m sure there prices were reasonable. I gave three stars Bc the rest didn’t satisfy me but try yourself.

I’d like to preface this review with saying that The Moose Den is one of my favorite bars. My fiancé and I are locals(we go here at least 3 times a week if not to just play Jenga). It deserves a 5 star review. Last Saturday night, however, we had one of the worst experiences, and it’s 100% due to the new GM, Luke. It was a busy Saturday night, and there were more bar tenders staffed than normal. I introduced myself and my fiancé to GM Luke telling him were regulars here and it is nice to finally meet him and this is a great bar. He said, «Well, it could be better,» without looking me in the eye and walked away. One of our favorite bartenders, Chris, was running around working his ass off taking care of everyone in a timely manner with a charming smile. Luke kept micro-managing and telling him how to do his job. I said, «Chris is a really hard worker, he’s awesome.» Luke’s reply was, «I’ll say when he’s working hard.» After all of this, he rudely made all the bartenders shout last call and shut the music off and turn on all of the lights at 1:30, and made a male worker go into the female bathroom to tell my fiancé and her friend to get out well before 2am, when the bar officially closes. I will also add, he decided on this rude behavior on the busiest night I have ever seen at the moose den. I doubt many will be coming back. The moose den is an amazing, cozy, friendly bar but if this jerk continues to run this place, he’ll drive it into the ground, forcing his staff and his customers to find a new place to spend their nights… and their money.

Bingo on Wednesdays! Pair this with chicken and waffles(more on this later) and you’ve got a perfect Wednesday night respite. Wednesday night chicken and waffles. Holy moly. I don’t think that I ever ‘got’ this concept until this night. The waffle was tender and comforting. The chicken was fried and boneless(I might be lazy but I just don’t want to eat with my hands in public). The syrup. THESYRUP — I’m a lady of a certain age and really enjoy hygiene. I don’t like sticky bar floors. This is not the kind of bar you’ll find in The Moose Den. Clean floors, bright lighting. Board games strewn about! P. S. The jury’s still out on whether Dr. Cheezeburger is a doctor or has a PhD.

Went here last night and it was pretty cool! Cool under the ground entrance with a festive moose at the stairway to great you to the Moose Den haha. Big open space with a stage in front and lots of seating with some booth type seating on the sides. This place is great to hang out and grab some drinks, there is plenty to do here! Lots of games, darts, shuffle board, a bunch of board games and foosball! I strolled in here with some friends and we took a seat at the comfy booth area and ordered some beers and food and had a good time with some intense rounds of jenga. The food is great here from what I had, the fries were yummy and delicious and the mac n cheese was great! Big portion with some spicy thrown in there which I just adore. Fun place in Glendale to hang out! I MOOSE-T come here again some time ;] Thanks Moose Den!

What happened to the Elephant? If I’m not mistaken, before the Moose, there was an Elephant(sign) in front of this cool watering hole, it seems the old Indian restaurant has turned into this chill hang-out spot! The Moose Den aside from having quite a few cocktails and beers on tap serves some pretty generous serving of yummy comfort food, how about some Fish and Chips my good lad?! :) Back to the drinks, I personally love the Horse’s Neck; it is made of Rye, ginger beer, bitters and lemon(I love anything gingery — so this one for me is a staple!) My dear friend had a glass of wine, the bartenders are pretty chill and efficient, that is always a plus in my book! The place has plenty of space, fast and friendly service, and the feel is very relaxed. Lighting could use a little bit of tweaking, it could be less brighter considering it is a bar, certain sections of the place has floor games for everyone to enjoy, again to reiterate it very chill here and spacious. I also love the middle section of The Moose, plenty of seats to accommodate a gaggle of thirsty friends! For a relaxed night out of town, I highly recommend The Moose den, sit down, grab your drink, your snacks and enjoy the night with your friends! Cheers!

Happy hour review. Happy hour is daily from 3−7pm and all day Monday. This bar has been open since January 2015 and is owned by the same person as ‘The Famous’, which is directly next door. The space is a very casual, retro design. Upon entering from the street, you actually walk down into the bar. It’s a basement restaurant, pub and game room. Bartenders were quite chatty, laid back, and friendly. They have all draft beers, wine, and house cocktails for $ 1 off regular prices. They also serve a cheeseburger, fries with Miller’s Lite or Coors for $ 14. There are a variety draft beers on tap, which rotate, and a nice variety of ales. Unfortunately, they do not serve barleywine, at least as of yet. This is a great addition to Glendale, which is not really known for its cool pub scene. tip — the Americana is located across the street parking — free 90 minute garage parking on Maryland Ave or limited free street parking a 2 – 3 blocks away

I went here for the first time for someone’s birthday get-together. I’ve actually never heard of this place. This place gives you a kind of Low –key underground bar type with different games for everyone! This bar is located across the street from the Americana. We parked at the market place parking structure behind the building. Parking is not free(i’m not sure how much it was, but not too expensive). The bar is kind of hidden. You have to walk down into like a garage type underground bar. When you walk in, the whole place is like wooden-woody feel, giving off a very cozy, comfortable environment. It is pretty spacious with seating everywhere. We got to the bar, and the bartenders were SUPER friendly. They had an good selection of beer and when I asked for recommendations, the guy was eager to help. He gave me couple of different beer samples to try. For games, they have everything from dominos, foosball, bean bags, darts and more. For the darts, you have to go to the bartending area to ask them for darts. They ask to hold onto your ID. We actually ate before the bar, so We didn’t get to order any of the bar food. But I wish i did! I will definitely come back here. Super chill and fun

Been here twice. The place is pretty big. There are booth/lounge sofas so you can get intimate or chill with a group, there’s long tables too. I love the dart boards, shuffle boards and fooseball. The food is pretty good. Love the sausage board. Comes with pickles and a baby pretzel with sauces. The chips are homemade and come with an onion dip. So delicious! Their tonkatsu sandwich is a letdown though. The kimchi does not taste good. It made the sandwich taste like band aids. I think they should use the Kim-cheese instead. After taking the kimchee off, I also noticed that the pork wasn’t flavorful. Needed salt. Other than that, the service is pretty good and I love this place!
