History
Established in 2005.
Established in 2005 India’s Flavor started as a small mom-and-pop restaurant in Montrose. Over the past six years, thanks to the home-style cooking and warm & welcoming service of Anju & Jagjit Sikka, the business has flourished to become one of the highest rated restaurant in all of Los Angeles county. Encouraged by the overwhelming approval of the community it served, the business has just opened it’s second location in the heart of Glendale downtown.
Even though we have grown in size, the values that have helped get us here remain the core principles of our operation. With an uncompromising food quality, and customer service to match, India’s Flavor hopes to be part of the local community for decades to come.
Meet the Business Owner
Anju K.
Business Owner
Ever since coming to the U.S. with her family in 2000, Anju has had a deep passion for culinary arts, a passion which found an outlet in early 2005 when she and her husband opened a small Indian restaurant in north Glendale. With M. A in Language and an M.A. in Music, Anju had spent majority of her life in India as a school teacher, nurturing her hidden passion and talent for cooking in a large family home. She started offering local catering from home in early 200s, as her family sought a new home in an unfamiliar community. Since 2005, Anju has immersed herself in India’s Flavor, becoming a cherished member of the local community. If you have the pleasure of meeting her at the original India’s Flavor location, or the new one, you will be hard pressed to walk away without a warm and compassionate feeling.
