Glendale Cycles

Its a small shop but they have some really cool gear in there. Very helpful and friendly staff. I bought a bike off of them for a great price. They had to order it because they did not have my size in stock since I am so tall. They had it in and set up in a few days. I will be giving them my business from now on.

Mike has more than a vast knowledge on bikes and his friendly approach makes everything easy to understand. He works very fast and efficient. You will not be wasting your time going to Glendale cycles… IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!

My experience was good. Helpful customer service (Christopher) and at a reasonable price.

Caught a flat in the middle of a ride and left my tire lever at home so walked a mile here. The kid working said that the owner doesn’t allow them to lend levers but was kind enough to let me borrow one, though told me I had to be fast and do it outside. I had intended to buy a new tube as a thank you, but after being shunned and rushed out, I chose not to. A shop should be open and helpful to the bike community, not unwilling to even lend a cheap $ 1 piece of plastic to a fellow cyclist in need.

This business closes at 5 pm on Saturdays. I arrived at 430 pm and the door was locked. I looked inside and one of the employees looked at me and turned away. Terrible customer service. If they had to close early for some reason they could have come out and explained. They just lost a good customer.

Walked in this past Friday afternoon too see what kind of prices they had, and The guy by the name of Eric comes up to me to see what I need about one Minute into our conversation he interrupts me and and Asks me if I had Any Money ?? Just Because I’m walking in with My tattoos showing doesn’t mean I’m some low life off of the streets. I’ve never felt so low before never going in there again, I’ll take my business else where. SO IF YOU WANT TO FEEL LIKE A LOWER MEMBER OF SOCIETY AND BE ASKED IF YOU HAVE MONEY JUST WALK INTO THIS SHOP AND TALK TO ERIC HE WILL GLADLY HELP YOU FEEL LIKE A PIECE OF SHIT.

Came to this place looking for some items for my bike build and was glad I did. I live close to this place but for some reason I tend to pass on going here due to the location (it is always on the opposite side of the way I am going). It is a nice little shop with somewhat limited items in stock. They can order anything that you want for sure but for little things, this is the place to go and the price is pretty decent also. Same with their tune up service prices.
Chris the guy behind the register is very chill and is a good person to talk with. He is very helpful and accommodating. Will surely be back soon and for all your bike needs, this is one of the better places to go to.

Came here to buy a Trek Lexa bike. I am a novice interested in biking as a hobby so I was excited to see what this shop could offer me.
I walk into the store and ask for the bike I was looking for. «Hi! I’m looking for a Trek Lexa bike.» The employee looked confused, and asked me to repeat myself. So I did – three times. For a second there I thought perhaps I was pronouncing it wrong – till I pointed out what I wanted. It finally clicked for him, because he said «Oh! A Trek bike! Sorry, I just woke up from a nap so I’m a little slow.» Yes, a trek bike! That’s what I was asking for. He then proceeded to ask me why I was interested in the bike, since he didn’t know much about them. Um… you work at a bike shop and you don’t know much about bikes? That was pretty disappointing. He tried to help by looking at the Trek catalogue, and asked if I wanted to pick one to order. Hold up! I’m not about to order a bike from you, especially since you seem to have no clue. I was bummed out because I expected MUCH more. I’m a beginner, so I wanted tips, advice, whether or not the Trek Lexa bike is something I should invest in… etc. I didn’t receive any of that. Instead, I was welcomed into the store by a half-​asleep employee who knew jack sh– about bikes. :(
Overall, terrible service. Go to Budget Pro Cycles in Eagle Rock or Izzy Cycles in La Crescenta. The employees there were extremely helpful and pointed me to the right direction! They actually KNOW their stuff and were willing to help out a newbie like me!

I came here because the other bike places in Glendale aren’t that great. Glendale Cycles has a great selection of bikes and they keep their store very organized and clean.
I needed tune-​ups on two of my bikes and got a 10% discount when I used my Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition card.
The owner, Romel, was really friendly and had my bike ready in only one day.

Got our son’s first bike from here. Great owner who loves bikes and takes good care of customers. Recommend!

Bought a few bikes at auction for the kids and I and took them here to get tuned up. They needed new chains brakes, etc. Anyway, Hector was great, gave me a time that the bikes would be ready and an estimate and the bikes were ready on time and under the estimate. Very pleased, nice guy, fair prices. Will be back soon.

So, I’ve only stepped foot in this place a couple times since previous owner Doug retired.
The first time, a week after the «new» shop opened.
…the second time… just a couple days ago.
One of my single-​speeds had a rear flat. Just happens to be the frame where the seat and chain stays are so tight, I’ve got probs gettin’ the tire off. So I haul the bike to the shop.
Enter Hector, one of the proprietors of Glendale Cycles. I ask if he’s got time to change the tube & check the tire. «Not a problem, it’ll be ready in 20 minutes», he replies. I ran & did a quick errand and was back in twenty. The price for a new tube and his services was fair. I asked a few questions & was satisfied with his answers.
He’s so laid back and so is this shop. The inventory of two-​wheelers seems minimal… maybe a couple of brands that they carry. A small showcase sits almost center of the showroom displaying what most l.b.s. would normally display, but on a smaller scale. Whatever the case, I’m fully satisfied with this shop’s services & happy they’re practically in my backyard. I hope to get going on my next project bike & hopefully, Hector will be as helpful as Doug was.
I look forward to a burgeoning relationship with Glendale Cycles.

Romel and Hector are super chill. Highest possible recommendation, easy to talk to, never pressured to buy and prices are excellent.
Just purchased a mountain bike for my girlfriend and we couldn’t be happier. Definitely check them out before making a final decision.

I bought my bike from Doug who was simply the best. Very helpful, often threw in extras for free, refilled my air. I hope the new owners will carry torch and tradition, as I’d love to continue supporting this neighborhood treasure.

Bought my trek 7 series from them.
They’ve been racing mountain bikes since they were kids. Now they have their own bike shop. Know their stuff and are super friendly.

On the surface, the store isn’t much different from its predecessor. New tire tube cost me $ 5, was promptly assisted. Minimal in store stock but hey, it’s in a very convenient location and can help you with your biking needs.
