Go Green Bicycles

These guys are the best. First thing I noticed was the quality of the bikes this place has for sale. Mark obviously doesn’t sell the mass produced garbage like everyone else. I decided to bring my 12 year old Cannondale mountain bike in here for service and was not disappointed. I had a full service tune up which included new brake lines and the wheel and crank hubs being re-​lubed, wheels trued and derailers dialed. I had asked the technician to polish out my sprockets because they were showing some aging, when I returned he had actually polished out my brake handles and brake calipers too just because he obviously likes what’s he is doing. It blew me away when I saw the tech had done more than I had asked, for no extra charge, awesome. The price surprised me for being so reasonable. Also the time it took them to do it, was faster than I could even come back to pick it up. I expected a day or two like some shops. My bike was ready for pick-​up in a couple of hours and as good as new. Overall I highly recommend Go Green Bicylce for an overall amazing retail experience, which is getting harder to find in any type of business. Thank you to Go Green Bicycle staff.

This review is strictly on the inventory which I found disappointing. It’s all a bunch of cheap bikes around $ 400-​$ 500 range.

I’ve been coming here since they were at the location down the street. When I had my old Schwinn every time it broke down or popped a tire I took it here to get it fixed. They always gave prompt service. Once I got tired of a 30 year old bike that was breaking down constantly they helped me find a new bike. I’ve been commuting on that bike for the past 6 months and its working great. I bought a rack and pack from here also. They have everything you would need for going green. At around 400 miles I brought the bike I bought from here in to be serviced. They made it so quite that I thought something was broken. Really great job. They have a nice laid back attitude but clearly know about cycling and are active on various trails around the LA area. I’ve asked for advice on where I should ride and never had them say they haven’t already tried it out.
Bottom line– For service or anything else come give it a try.

This is the place to be… A new armature rider I was welcomed with Evan and Derek. Extremely knowledge and awesome in every sense. I was happy to drive 30 min to have the bike serviced here. Super cool place and they don’t try to up sale anything but they give you their honest opinion. As a business owner, theses are the kind of people and places we should support. Thank you guys.

If you need keys made, come here… seriously. I’m also pretty sure it’s the place to go if you need bike services as well (judging by the great service I received) I went in at 9:35am and needed 8 keys made… I needed to be back on the other side of Burbank by 10am…(I did not mention this to Mark who helped me as I was pretty sure i’d miss the meeting I had anyway). Mark took my keys and finished up in less than 5 minutes. Very quick and friendly service here… a great all around experience. And I made my meeting!
This shop is very clean, organized, and full of good stuff. If you want keys made just walk all the way to the back which is what looks like the service area.

Went in for just a tire fill up. They were very helpful and even offered to do it ths elves at no charge!

Just started riding after getting a new Dutch step through but had a minor issue. These guys are professional and courteous as well as reasonable, it’s also nice that they’re approachable and not snobbish like some other shops. Definitely will continue coming here.

This place deserves a second review. I bought my Focus road bike from them a while ago. and they were so helpful and awesome then. and today when I went back to see if they could help me, The owner helped me on the spot, and didnt even charge me for anything. what a great place. I will be a customer forever. Thanks guys!

This place is great! I wanted to buy a bike for CicLAvia in the valley and to start riding to work and Marc and his staff were super helpful in helping me find a bike to meet my needs at a price that I can afford.

Wow! This place is awesome. Went in with my daughters bike to get some assistance in adjusting her seat, alignment and some air in the tires. Not only was the staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable but they helped me for free! Yes, free! Outstanding customer service and they just made a customer for life. I dont know the names of the staffers, but I took my bike in for a tune-​up. I had been sitting in my garage for over a year. Dropped it of Sat AM, they said «We’re closed on Sun, but it will definitely be ready for pick Mon.»
Got a call that afternoon. It was ready for pickup. Great price. Bike looked great. They replaced the necessities, reasonably. Took it out the next day for 15 miles, and it was smooth as ever!

The general workers there are nice and considerate. However, the owner was a gigantic jerk. He himself makes my friend and I think the name of the store is «Go *** Yourself Bicycles.»

Well, they did it again! My needs changed, from commuting to beach cruiser, and Marc consulted with me to find me the best fit, and bought back my trusty old friend, for a partial trade-​in. I couldn’t be happier with the new and improved function in my life. Makes my life much easier to have the appropriate tools to the job!

This shop is truly awesome simply because the owner is so personable.
My boyfriend & I were looking to buy some hybrids, but were looking for specific bikes that were not carried at this store. Although we did not purchase any bikes here, I had to make an effort to comment on Go Green’s amazing customer service. After shopping around at about 10 different bike shops I now realize that I have not come across a shop that is so invested in pleasing their customers.
When you buy a bike a lot of people don’t realize your buying the shop and staff also. You will be in on a regular basis buying parts and having maintenance done on your bike. Unfortunately, since I did not buy anything from Go Green, I have to deal with pricks now.

I came here looking for a bike. Anthony assisted me and was nice and very helpful. He got a couple bikes down and offered to let me try them out.
But then I came back a different day and a really annoying guy named Mark made my experience really unpleasant. I reached to adjust the seat because it felt too high and he grabs the bike from me and gave a condescending lecture about how it doesn’t need to be adjusted.
I wanted to tell him to back off and let Anthony help me but instead I just left.
Luckily his arrogant attitude led me to search elsewhere and I found the same bike later that day for $ 100 cheaper.

Marc and all of the Go Green staff are personable, knowledgeable, and very dedicated to ensuring you get the right bike for your style of riding.
As a couple of older riders who hadn’t been on a bike in years, Marc and his team took time on numerous visits to make us feel comfortable, address our concerns, and helped us get a couple of bikes we now use every day.
If you are looking for the best in Burbank, look no further!

Needed some tire tape and a new tube. They put the tape and tube on the tired, filled it with air, then charged me $ 18.
$ 10 service fee, and then $ 8 for the tube and tape. Next time I’ll just go to Performance Bike, buy the parts and do it myself.
This place is good for people who are looking for a first bike and will be using that as a commuter. This place specializes in Raleighs (a brand I personally don’t care for but it’s not terrible).
Found the owner to be a bit stuck up, with that standard «I know everything about bikes and you don’t» attitude. Uhmm OK We can agree to disagree on some things, buddy. Doesn’t mean you have to act like a jerk to a customer.
Won’t be back.

My boyfriend recently purchased a bike from these guys, and I had the pleasure of driving him to pick it up. The shop owners and workers were really honest and friendly. They obviously know a lot about bikes and are genuine when discussing needs vs. wants.
The selection in the store is not incredibly expansive, but you can order a bike
My boyfriend ended up spending an extra $ 100 on equipment on top of his sparkly expensive bike. These guys are honest and will tell you if you don’t need something! I appreciated this a lot :)

After Doug’s bike shop (Glendale Cyclery) closed down forever, i was distraught. Doug helped me pick out my Surly Long Haul Trucker (fatty’s fit fine) — that got me 4200 miles across the US.
One sunny morning as i drove to get my regular tune-​up, i reached the Glendale Cyclery parking lot and to my disdain– it had completely shut down. No sign of life or of there ever having been a bike shop. I wiped the tears of my sentimental eyes that naively thought Doug would be selling bikes forever and i set out to find the next best thing.
I came across Go Green Bicycles and i decided to give them a try. Sure they were no ‘Doug’ and didn’t really know me or my bike but what could i do.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the two guys who worked there greeted me with a smile. They tuned up my bike for $ 40 and got it back into top condition for summer! They were friendly, efficient and informative about all things BIKE!
They left such a positive impression on me that I was compelled to swear my loyalty by driving 8 miles out of the way (from my Los Feliz neighborhood– where we have an abundance of bike shops), just because their service was stellar and their passion for Bicycles shone through.
I recently visited their new location looking to buy a bike lock and hoping to sell them a couple of barely used waterproof panniers, and the owner again was super friendly. He is big into soccer and there was a Mexico/​Brazil game and he invited me to watch the game with him and offered me a beer or a soda. Though i was tempted to hang out with these cool dudes, i had a million errands to ‘check-​off’ my To Do list that day and couldn’t stay long. Immediately they helped me find the perfect/​safest lock for my bike and they offered to buy the panniers off me. I haggled with them a bit just for fun and i was on my way. I always feel a warm energy when i come to this shop. It’s like these young guys are positive friendly entrepreneurs who’s love of bicycles is evident in the way they talk about everything from the bikes themselves, to the locks and accessories.
Free parking in the front and conveniently located near the 5 freeway. I will continue to drive out of my way to support this business.
