BJ’s Printing Emporium

My experience here was awful. The manager and staff at BJ’s Printing Emporium are all unprofessional and incompetent. The customer service is very poor. Their employees clearly do not know what they are doing. They messed up on my print order multiple times and tried to charge me for their mistakes. No other print shop I’ve worked with has ever tried to charge me for their own mistakes — EVER. I’m a photographer and have worked with various other print shops; none of which have ever been this incompetent in terms of properly printing 1 picture. Actually, I’ve never had any issues with other print shops. I thought I’d try a new print shop just to try a new place but I will not be coming back to this lousy place. I will be taking my business, along with my client referrals (with their photo printing needs) somewhere else.

By Far, The Worst Print Lab!!!
I would suggest Costco, Kinkos, Target, Walgreens & Snapfish before ever mentioning BJ’s ever again.
This is now the second time I have been disappointed after using their services.
The first time around, I had high expectations as I was referred to them by a fellow photographer. I sent them an Email with printing instructions and Payment info. I received no phone call, no Email. NOTHING. Then I decided to call to check on the progress of my order & was informed that they had not even looked over my order. The excuse was that they couldn’t start the order before receiving a signed authorization to charge me for the work. BS!
This time around I was a lot more careful and made sure that all my ducks were in a row. I called them before Emailing my order. Reviewed the format in which I was saving the image file with the «tech» who was in charge of printing. Made a payment over the phone using my card, & waited on the line for them to receive payment authorization from my bank.
I was very clear, both over the phone & in my Email instructions that the print colors were not to be altered in any way. I explained that I could export the image file in any format they wished (Photoshop PDF, Jpg, Png, etc…) and also specifically asked if they wanted me to export /​Save in SRGB or Adobe RGB.
I explained that I had issues with them in the past & wanted to ensure that nothing goes wrong this time since the print was for a client’s event. The event is tomorrow, so there is no room for error.
Long story short, after explaining everything I sent over the file as they requested & i also included a Jpeg of the image and reiterated the importance of getting the colors right & that I wanted the print to match the image in the Jpeg.
I was quoted 8.99 for a matte print, then convinced to print on Poster paper as the quality would be better and the colors would be more vibrant. The price is now 29.99 (Great job with the up sell)
I told the tech that I am driving from the opposite side of the valley and that it would take me a while to get there, so I would appreciate a call as soon as the print was ready so I could make it in to pick up my print before they close. (I also asked that they Email me back letting me know that they received my Email with the image file & that they were able to access it & that the colors matched the included Jpg file) THIS DIDNT HAPPEN.
I called them 15 minutes after sending the file via Email and got confirmation that they received it and were able to see that the colors match the Jpg.
I was told that I would receive a call as soon as the image was ready for pick up & that it should be done within the next 30 minutes or so. THIS DIDNT HAPPEN
I waited an hour before contacting them to check on my order. The person who answered the phone informed me that my print had already been ready for about 20 minutes.
I head over to BJ’s to pick up my print & 45 minutes into my drive towards Glendale (Heavy Friday Traffic) I receive a call letting me know that my print was ready. When I asked why I was getting a call this late, & especially after I had already called and confirmed that my print was ready, my questions were ignored and the only response I received from them was that they close at 6 and I need to be there before they close. (Thanks)
I arrive at BJ’s & was presented with 2 prints. the first was great thick paper with an image of what looked like an alien baby with green skin. The second was a blown out version on cheap paper (I was told this was the better quality poster print).
needless to say I couldn’t use either print to present to a client.
After about 30 minutes of fiddling with the settings on the printer, TOM, the tech was able to print a presentable image on the thick (8.99) paper. The colors were still off but would work for displaying it at the clients event. (I plan on reordering the print from my normal Lab & will replace the print for the client once i received the better quality print)
at this point I was told by Mike, who I’m told is the owner, that I am responsible for paying for all the prints they had to do to try and get the colors right.
SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT.
The file I sent you appears to have correct colors on your computer. Yes
The image has correct colors on your monitor. Yes
When you Rip the file to the Printer, the image has correct colors. Yes
When you print the image it comes out Green. Yes
and this is my fault how???
After spending another 20 or so minutes trying to explain to this incompetent person the basics of business ethics, and saw that I was going nowhere, I left with my 8.99 print with bad color & ended up paying for the more expensive print I never even received. I refused to pay for the trial prints as i don’t think i should pay for them not knowing how to do their job!!!
I SUGGEST GOING TO ANY OTHER PRINT SHOP.

ONE star is still being kind to BJ’s Printing Emporium!!! I am disgusted with their quality of work and I am here to warn everybody who even THINKS about giving them a try. All those 5-​stars review must be FRIENDS or FAMILY of the employees/​owner!!! They have high end prices with low end quality!!! BEWARE!!! I referred both my company and good friend to BJ’s and we both got screwed, nothing has been done yet to fix this issue!

My uncle recently passed away and needed a large photo of him printed out for the funeral. So, I emailed them a file and told me that it would be ready the next day. They were thoughtful with the situation and the quality of the photo was great. Thanks BJ’s Printing!

I’m an artist living in LA and I always get my posters printed at BJ’s. They have really amazing costumer service and they always get the job done on time. Best place for printing in LA!

Incredibility slow service. I was the only customer and it took them 2 hours to print few pages.

I recently started a small computer repair business, and needed brochures to advertise. After contacting and making a deal with BJ’s printing, I was pleased with the results. They came out exactly the way I wanted, in high-​quality images. BJ’s Printing was fast and reasonably priced. Overall, I am very satisfied with the job that they did.

So I went to BJ’s looking to get some professional looking guides for my school club’s yearly dance recital. I wanted these guides to be on point and presentable for the huge audience that always attends our recitals yearly. The employees here are very nice and are willing to help me with my pamphlets. I felt the design that I created looked appealing for the event, but I took a few suggestions from them to make it look even better and plus they offered to do it for me. The result ended in a beautiful looking guide that I sure would get our audience excited for our recital! I have to thank BJ’s for their beautiful pamphlets they have made for us. I definitely recommend it here!

BJ’s Printing Emporium was the place I went to get some business cards done. What I wanted was some nice, presentable, and most of all professional looking business cards. In the end, I believe that what I got as these business cards I receive look great. Text was printed on nicely, the color that I wanted was on it, and I feel that they have a presentable and professional look that will get the people’s attention. I’ve seen other business cards before some in fact I thought were just a mess. Trust me, like the text was all faded and the cards cut out correctly as well. This printing service did a great job with my business cards as they are not like those ugly ones that I’ve seen in the past. Thank you so much BJs Printing!

This place is a wonderful supplement for people with small businesses. After working a small coffee stand for some years, I came to appreciate some of the finer things about visual attraction. Handmade signs can be fun to look at, but whoever makes them has to have artistic skill, and has to have free time. These were two things that are not available to me in my line of work. After some years of being stubborn and thrifty, I decided to invest in a poster sign for my menu instead of hand writing things. That’s when I went to Bj’s printing emporium. At first I thought a print store? However reviews about this business kept insisting that this place offers banners and business cards and things like that. They gave me some pointers as to what they wanted from me, and I went on my way. I designed the menu sign the way I wanted and gave it to them on a flash drive. When the sign was done, and I mounted it where customers can see it, I was happy with it. Regular customers liked it as well. They said it made the stand look more professional, and I am sure it looks better for people who haven’t visited my stand either. Bj’s Printing Emporium is located in a nice area of Glendale, not intimidating. I would recommend them.

This is the best place around from small print jobs to our massive digital outputs for big murals. They always do a professional job and the turnaround times are super quick. They have the big machines to crank out our jobs really quickly. Manny and Mike are always very helpful and give us the highest level of customer service.

For my friend’s project, he has been making a film throughout the semester. With the finishing touches happening to the film, we needed to promote it, So what’s more better to promote the movie than a real, legit looking movie poster! We actually had a an idea going on but we knew it would not be good enough to catch anyone’s attention. BJ’s printing was where we went in order to have someone view what was missing on our movie poster. The graphic designers of BJ’s stepped in and saw needed to be done. With just a few techniques like changing of the text, more lighting in certain places, an additional image being added, these guys have made the posters look 100 times better than it was before!
Along with the high quality printing that we get, this was the best decision that we have made in a while. Thank you Bj’s Printing Services for helping us out with the project!

I’m really disappointed in Bjs. I will not be returning.
I needed to print out a simple 8.5×11 sheet in color. I emailed them my file, and 5 minutes later, I was given a color print on photo quality paper. Then, I was told that it would cost me $ 4.99 for the print. WHAT!!!
My lesson learned is that I should ask for pricing before placing an order. But $ 5 for a single color copy? That is just not right. They said that all other copies after the first one are at $ 0.99. No thank you.
I went down the street to FedEx and got the color print for $ 0.64. So much for trying to support the smaller businesses.

I came here again to have some large prints put onto canvas. I am very satisfied. They said they got a brand new machine and I can tell you I am amazed at how vivid and sharp the colors came out. Highly recommended.

Very terrible place… Sleazy staff … 25 scans for $ 82. Thats a total rip off. A scan costs $ 1 per scan everywhere.

Starting from the owner Mike all the way to the employees!
Today I called Bj’s and asked Mike to forward me the Logo that I created for my business cards. They said that everything was deleted from their computer. The deal was that they were supposed to forward me the logo through email. But instead they made an excuse.
I spend over $ 500 dollars with this company. The worst mistake that I’ve ever done. Choosing this company to rely on was a huge mistake so i highly recommend not to do business with this company called BJ’s PRINTING IN GLENDALE ! PLEASE spread the word!

I had a wedding photo to print (odd size too, 11.5×11.5) and called them 45 minutes before they were about to close. They said they can do it and I was quoted a great price. I emailed them file, showed up 10 minutes prior to closing and received my print. The quality of the print is great and their service was friendly and helpful. I look forward to doing more business with them.

Had some business cards made (a mere 100 of them). Simple, fast. Told them to not cut them crooked twice, and the end result still ended up crooked. Now, I have these crooked, unprofessional looking cards that costed 50 $. Waste of money.

Last week, I was scheduled for an informative speech in my speech class. I went to staples to print/​enlarge photos for my visual aid however the line was too long and there was only one staff multi-​tasking with everyone’s need. I went on Unilocal and search «print» to locate other stores that print school stuffs.
I stumbled into «Copy Central Glendale» and hurriedly went over to their location. However, I got there at 5:01 and they closed on me. IN MY FACE!
I then searched another one and found BJ’s Emporium which is just across Copy Central Glendale. Phew! They were my lifesaver that day.
The guy, which was apparently a filipino, who helped me was friendly and seems knowledgeable. It was an awesome experience.
But why did I give FOUR STARS?! Because the same guy who helped me probably got his fingers on a freshly printed paper and spread it on some parts of the paper (which was white by the way). It was pretty obvious although it wasn’t that bad.
You should try them!

When I needed to get my design portfolios printed for my art classes, I always came to BJ’s printing store in Glendale to print out all of my graphic design work. I had several professors at school who were extremely picky about the presentation of my work and so I went to find a good printing store that could get me exactly what I needed for a fair price. BJ’s has exactly that. They are equipped to print out literally anything from posters and business cards to billboards and car wraps. Go to BJs whenever you need to print out special projects. They take especially good care of you here!

Manny was great to work with! We needed a banner, post cards, business cards, poster, and labels done in around 5 days. He did them all in 1 day! I was not sure how they would turn out as I have never worked with him before and it was a rush job, but everything came out better than expected, and better yet the price was more than fair.
Manny was very patient helping us lay out all of the files to maximize paper usage.
Good integrity– the job was done as promised. I learned later that he worked all night to finish the job. The banner turned better than I even expected too.
I will certainly be coming back.

The employees at BJs printing shop helped me so much, I am very grateful. I tried to print out a project in my city to send along with several colleagues who were likely going to a meeting near Glendale.

There was a last minute problem with the order and I panicked to find a printer store that could possibly print out and in addition deliver the order the same morning. Emanuel is really knowledgeable and knows a lot about customer service, especially my last minute needs.
I would highly recommend using BJ to anyone. I know a wedding isn’t their main source of business, but they made me feel like it was the way they handled the job. My experience made me feel like they would do just about any odd job with the care and precision. Defiantly consider them if you’re looking for a printer place in Glendale.
