So happy with the move over to Aqua Masters! If you need a company who can provide quality service, these are your go-​to guys. They do a great job with my pool and jacuzzi in La Cañada!

Very affordable, fast, and efficient. They have great customer service, and if there is ever a problem with your pool they are more than happy to help! Out of all the pool companies in Los Angeles area I would definitely recommend aqua masters!

Their people are what make them special. You need to trust the people you invite over to work on and around your home. Rest assured, these are good people who are very worthy of your trust, and business.

We have been extremely happy with Richie & Aqua masters for the past few years. We wanted to support this young entrepreneur as he embarked on his career path. I have found Richie to be eager to please, reliable, and very up to date on the newest pool management methods. We can text him and we get a quick response. Using Unilocal as a reference can be tricky. Sometimes businesses manipulate the reviews in favor of their service. I always like to see a mix of opinions to get a more balanced view. You will typically find a negative review in most postings. So take the good with the bad and decide for yourself. I would and I do recommend Aqua masters highly. I would suggest if you have concerns with them, have that discussion. Richie has AlwAys listened to any frustrations we might have andhad done his best to make corrections. We are very pleased with Aqua Masters.

They had frequent billing errors and over-​charged. They never followed up if i had a questions or problem. They said their tech had been to service the pool when they never had. then, even when they realized it was their mistake, they just refunded the money and quit on us instead of apologizing, fixing the problem and moving on. they just quit on us when i needed them and, furthermore, acted smug about it. terrible on every level.
In further news. the day they quit, they «mistakenly» charged me for another month service instead of reimbursing me for the 2 weeks of non-​service they owed me and they even resorted to homophobic and slanderous texts which i still have on my phone.

On their 1^st visit, we addressed our concerns about our newly built pool as to why there are no ripples on the water when under ‘self-​clean’ to move debris from pool & the seemingly professional rep from Aqua Masters mentioned we need to purchase a ‘black algae’ solution & buy a ‘floatie’ to keep the pool clean & that’ll help with the ripples. Huh? Anyway. We paid for those costs upfront but it didn’t make sense to us; & when his cleaner came, he stated, ‘wow, this is the cleanest pool i’ve ever seen on the job… did you just build it?’ ya, in 2010. So of course this was a red-​flag right off the start. A couple weeks later, we noticed that the black algae solution’s cap seal wrap was still in-​tact, when pool guy came over, we asked why he hadn’t used it by now? he said he didn’t know he was supposed to use it since he doesn’t see any ‘black algae’ anywhere. Very odd why the office doesn’t communicate with their cleaners. A few more weeks went by & we noticed the floatie didn’t have anything in it. When pool guy came on his weekly routine, we asked why isn’t there anything in this? he said, ‘you’re supposed to buy the tablet & then I’ll put it in there to keep the pool clean.’ This infuriated us much more & when we called the rep, he said, ‘ya, you didn’t tell me to order the bleach tablet so i never did.’ But why would he suggest we PAY for the floatie when he’s not going to put anything in it? Why didn’t he even mention we’d also have to buy tablets for that floatie? How would WE know, isn’t he the professional? & why would he charge us extra for the black aglae solution when we didn’t even need it to being with? Ugh! At the end, when we asked them to cancel our service (with 1 week still paid upfront), rep said they ‘HAVE to charge us a cancelling fee of $ 50′. Really? We weren’t on a lease contract nor were there any mentions of such fees. A week after we cancelled, the same pool guy came knocking on our door asking to open the gate to the pool; we told him the services were cancelled a week ago & he said, ‘oh, i didn’t know, no one said anything to me so i wasn’t aware that you cancelled the service, sorry.’ Very disappointed and not happy with Aqua Masters. And yet, the problem with the ripples was never solved, just wasted 5 months of our time & money. We then hired a local guy & after a thorough inspection of the pool & its system, he said the filter container is cracked, rusted & needs replacing from the inside, once he did, lo and behold, ripples and waves EVERYWHERE in my pool. Thanks for nothing Aqua Masters.

We were impressed when we met with Aqua Masters, they seemed very knowledgable. They knew what needed to be fixed with our pool filter, and seemed positive and hands-​on. In our first service they cleaned our equipment and got the pool tuned up and it had never been cleaner. But… they left a mess around the filter and heater and grounds with D.E. They said they’d clean it up on a future visit and never did. Aqua Masters then sent a new service person to clean the pool that we weren’t told about. He never introduced himself. He did fix a leak on our heater, but asked to borrow a hacksaw from me (said he couldn’t find his) and then after cutting some PVC, cleaned off the parts in the pool itself! (And charged us $ 80.00 for 10 minutes of work.) Not professional. The service person was also smoking out by the Aqua Masters truck and when my wife asked him to not smoke he just shrugged her request off. Not professional. Within the first month, Aqua Masters said it was too hard for them to get the safety net off our pool, in order to clean it. To do this every week, they would need to charge us an additional $ 40 a month. (We had already agreed on a monthly price four weeks earlier.) To suggest an up-​charge on something so simple we thought was not acceptable. We offered to show them how to operate the safety net but they had initially told us it wasn’t a problem. We didn’t find them to be hard working or reliable in the end, and cannot recommend them.

After two years of being unable to communicate with our pool guy– we had to say goodbye. Based on Unilocal reviews, I called Aqua Masters. Rich arrived, immediately determined that our salt system had been broken for a year;the filter had been broken for at least six months and that our pool guy had been dumping chemicals in the pool and walking away. He upgraded us to a variable speed pump (power bill has gone way down) and whipped out pool into shape within a few weeks.

Great group of guys! Fixed our outdoor fountain for a great price and put in a lot of extra time to make sure the job was done right. Clients for life.

I have stones trapped inside the pool line. They came fast and solve my problem superfast.

Contacted Aqua Masters to help my employer find a new pool service. They were incredibly speedy in their responses and their employees have been nothing but courteous and professional when I have spoken to them. They took the time to answer my questions and set up an estimate appointment right away. My employer and I have been nothing but pleased with every interaction and are very much looking forward to working with this company and its people!

We had Aqua Masters install a new pool/​jacuzzi heater and they did a fantastic job! Not only was their price extremely reasonable but our pool heated up about 10X faster than it did with the old heater. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone!

My pool had turned green in a matter of three days in a heat wave and I had a pool party scheduled for that next Saturday. I called Aqua Masters and after treating the water and realizing that some parts in my filter had torn and broken, and having just two days left for the party, A. Masters supplied the new parts, turned the pool water around and came by first thing Saturday morning to brush it one more time and to test the water. My pool was sparkling blue and spotless by the time my guests arrived in the early afternoon. Richard was great in discussing what had to be done right up to the last day. A Masters will now be maintaining my pool. I highly recommend Aqua Masters.

I’ve lived in my house for a little over a year and Aqua Master pool service is my 4^th pool service company. The other pool service companies regularly didn’t do what they were supposed to do or didn’t even show up and my pool paid the price. Aqua Masters cleaned up the mess from the last service companies and have kept the pool looking beautiful every week.

We had a terrible pool man who screwed up the filter to get us to pay for a new one. Then we switched over to Aqua Masters and they fixed everything at a reasonable price and kept it in solid condition. We can swim at all times. Solid choice for a pool guy.

I don’t have anything bad to say about Aqua Masters! About a year ago they took my pool which literally looked like a swamp and revamped it for a very fair price. Every week since then our pool has been clean and ready for swimming. I have two German shepherds who like to make a lot of mess in the pool but it poses no problems for these guys!
My pool man comes every Monday and makes the pool ready to swim for the week! The best part about them is the fact that if I ever have any questions about anything they answer quickly and clearly and nicely :)

THE BEST! Called off hours because of an emergency… Richie guided me through facetime and fixed my problem within 10 minutes. These guys are total pros!

Called rich to clean our pool. He showed oh right on time and has done a great job cleaning our pool weekly. Always answers the phone when I have a question and comes to install equipment with a great price quote! We love this company!

My experience with AquaMasters (Ryan McKnight) has been very good. He has been working on our pool since we remodeled it about two years ago. Ryan is very responsive and always tries his best to accommodate us if there are any emergencies. We also appreciate that Ryan is available via text so we can communicate any specific issues more efficiently.

What a pleasure to find old school custom service from a pool and spa company. Richard responded quickly to phone msgs and is incredible at keeping up with you so you don’t need to wonder what’s up. He arrived, took a look at my spa, fixed it in a minute and then said, «No charge.» when I asked him the price. In this day and age, that is stellar! If you’re looking for professionalism, competence and a great customer service experience, I recommend him unequivocally.

We had a filter pipe come loose, so I called the top Unilocal result. Richard showed up in 20 minutes to check it out, and had it fixed later that day. Very knowledgeable, great service!

Richard and his team have been servicing our pool for over a year now and I have nothing but great things to say about his work ethic. He took over my pool when our previous guy left us high and dry without warning. He came out, gave us a quote, and was able to get our pool back into shape ASAP. This company is lovely. Run by people who know «what’s up». It’s actually super easy to screw up pool chemistry! Not an incredibly difficult field, but you really do need to know what you’re doing. THEY DO.
I knew i was over paying for low quality with my last few guys. My neighbor recommended Richard at Aqua Masters about 10 months ago and I’ve used them ever since.
Richard has been nothing but honest with me, from what I can tell, about what’s wrong or going well with my system. From the get go he told me that the guys before were doing it wrong and that my pool required a lot of attention and why (poorly put together, in a nutshell).
Anyway. The only time i ever felt like his services were not on par, I told him and the problem was immediately fixed. He comes more than is expected, to stay on top of things, free of charge most of the time, and is super easy going if you forget to pay him on time.
Yeah. They’re great.

Our pool and jacuzzi have never looked better. Both are sparkling and no longer have the issues we had with past servicers. He replaced our temperature gauge in the pool and fixed the handle on our gate. Wow, what great service!
