Temptations

I really like this store. The people that work here are nice and they have some unique offerings. I actually laughed out loud that the other reviews mentioned that people are brutally honest. It is true but you can feel confident that they won’t let you walk out with something unflattering. They also give good suggestions and I have tried on and bought items that I would not even have considered if I just saw on the rack without some prompting. I wish they had more sales (or maybe I don’t time it right). It is a nice addition to Glencoe.

I avoided going to Temptations for years… what a mistake! Why do I love it now?
1. The clothes are fun and not in every department store… unique choices.
2. The staff is fantastic… referred to in another review as brutally honest — which they are. but they have an amazing eye for what will make you look your best. Unlike other stores where the sales person has tried to squeeze me into a few too many sizes too small, you can tell they really want you to have the right size and be comfortable in what you buy.
3. Accessories — I bot a necklace for under $ 100 and get more compliments on it than on pieces of jewelry I have that cost 10 x that…
Temptations don’t change!
If you don’t live in Glencoe, it’s well worth the trip!

A good friend of mine took me here. She has been shopping here since she was in college and I always loved her clothes. I was really surprise how fun our outing was and the great outfit I found. So If your looking for a new look or want something different then your average department store this is the place.
If you ever thought of wanting a personal shopper but didn’t think you could afford one than this shoppe is for you, because thats how they treat their customer. They will also special order anything you see if they don’t have your size. In addition they have unusual jewelry to finish the look. So going to a wedding this summer or to the beach stop in you could find yourself very happy when you walk out.

This exceptional shop is small but filled with unique fashion items… from clothes to bags to jewelry. Expect the staff to be brutally honest. «Take that off immediately», I heard the saleswoman tell one of her clients. «Here, try this instead». Boy did she get it right! I can only describe the items as fashion forward and not only for the size 0 figure. Do you have a figure flaw? Let this group of saleswomen show you a thing of two about concealing! The clothes are fairly priced. Don’t be intimidated just because of its Glencoe address.
