Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe

I don’t living in the RVA area, but was here working for the week. I stumbled upon Taziki’s as I was waiting to get a tire patched. The outside looked really inviting with outdoor seating.
The woman at the counter suggested the Greek salad with turkey– and I was sooooo impressed. The best salad I have ever had. I will be back!

Thos place has the BEST hands down gyros I have ever had. They add a fantastic tasting side of potatoes drenched in flavor with some potato chips to boot. The restaurant os very clean and they offer military discounts. My kind of place everyday all day. A definite hit for taste and reasonable price. Get there! You won’t be disappointed :)

Affordable and fresh options with great flavors. I was delightfully surprised by the lemon chicken soup. It wasn’t what I was accustomed to from a favorite place I used to live near, but it was equally delicious. I would come back again just for that but the steak gyro was delicious as well. Our table also had a chicken gyro and the chix-​basil-​pesto. All were recommended. Nice staff and clean restaurant. Unfortunately weather didn’t let us take advantage of the outside seating.

I am not from here and have been looking for a Mediterranean restaurant that serves real lamb… and I found it here. The hummus was freshly made.

I enjoyed the food and the service was very good. I had the Mediterranean wrap (no meat) and it was pretty good. I loved all the veggies and it was super filling.

I love this place. Stopped in for lunch. There was a bit of a line to order at the counter, but it moved quickly and the young lady at the register was polite and accommodating. I had the Dolamades appetizer (hand rolled grape leaves), and while they were very different then what I have had before, they were excellent. Lousy rolled and grilled with brushed olive oil, the were stuffed with a yellow rice. Also had the Greek salad and it was fresh and well done. I would have liked a little more feta and kalamata olives (so ask for extra if you like it that way) it was still very good.
My lunch mate had the Mediterranean salad which she added shrimp to and also really liked.
We will definitely return the next time we are in Richmond.

This place is some strange representation of Greek food. The dolmades were tough, chewy leaves filled with tasteless hard rice. Everything, including the tilapia main course, was salted and peppered within an inch of its life. Served with peppered pita chips. Outside the food, the restaurant had a slightly unpleasant odor. Perhaps, that was from the table across from me that remained uncleared.

My wife had a Gyro and I had a beef tenderloin sandwich and both were excellent. Our pasta and cucumber salads were tasty too. What a find.

Love the set up of the place. Fast service and the food was delicious! They have great healthy options.

I love having lunch here! The food is flavorful and very fresh! Awesome service! I highly recommend this restaurant. Oh and they have family game night on Sunday’s!

I love Taziki’s for a lunch location. It is tasty Greek food with lots of healthy options which make it a nice place for lunch during the week day.
This location is right in the middle of several office buildings and they do a great job of getting you your food quickly! I am always in and out of there in under an hour. They bring the food out to you and clean up after you, win-​win!
I have only ordered two things here, but they were both great so I haven’t needed to try anything else! The chicken pesto gyro has big chunks of chicken with a pesto and tomatos in a warm flatbread. This comes with a side and potato chips. The other thing I get is the dolmades plate — which is rice wrapped in these seasoned grape leaves that comes on a bed of lettuce with big chunks of feta and pita chips. YUM!
If you don’t know much about Greek food but want to give it a try, this is the place to do it! Also when you check in with Unilocal you get a free soda/​tea!

Great food, great service. I agree with the other review, keep the chips they are not worth the calories. The food speaks for itself. I live and work nearby and this place is a go to for lunch or dinner. I am not sure if it is as healthy as it looks but it has to be better than a burger

First off, I am NOT a fan of Mediterranean/​Greek food in general. The combination of lemon juice, olive oil, herbs and yogurt in my food doesn’t appeal to me. I am not sure if I just don’t generally like it or maybe I haven’t had good Greek food anywhere yet.
I had no idea this place was located in Innsbrook right next to Capital Ale. This restaurant is very spacious and they also have some outdoor seating as well. Most of their food appears to me MTO which I appreciated. I wasn’t feeling too adventurous and I wanted to be basic so I just got the chicken salad sandwich. It was pretty tasty and wasn’t dried out as some chicken salads I have had at other establishments and it came with a choice of a side. We also got a plate of the hummus with the soft pita which was also pretty good and great for sharing! I did notice that our portions were very large and had some leftovers to take home.
The food came out in less than 10 minutes and they bring the food out to your table when it’s ready. The service is quick and friendly and you just leave your plates on your table and they clean up after you as well. Check on Unilocal for a free fountain drink! I think next time I will try to go for something different like the stuffed grapes or the gyros.

I love this place. As many others have mentioned, it is fast, fresh and convenient … But most of all — TASTY! And typically very healthy. I have been here 4 – 5 times and got something different every time. I agree with other Unilocalers, the taziki sauce is lacking. I grew up with a Lebanese grandmother so I may be a bit biased :) The Greek Chicken Gyro is my favorite thing I have tried so far. Hummus is good (comes with crunchy pita, I asked for soft slices instead). Dolmades were good and VERY lemon saturated, which I liked but some may not.
If you take one thing from this review, take this — ORDER THE BASMATI RICE. I don’t know if it’s the healthiest option as it tastes like butter and lemon, but it’s worth it. Also definitely sub out the chips that come with you meal for another side. The potatoes are good, as is the cuke salad.
Yum, yum, yum. If I could afford $ 10 a day to eat here every day, I would!

This is a great spot in the Innsbrook area for Mediterranean delights! I have been traveling to Richmond for work over the past few months and, in search of hummus, I stumbled upon this on a Sunday afternoon. Since that fateful afternoon, I’ve been back a handful of times and I can only give positive reviews. Most recently, they’ve added a Veggie Plate to the menu and it is absolutely delicious! It’s rare that I’ll consume a meal without protein, but it’s too good to pass on. It’s a combination of seasoned asparagus, tomatoes, yellow squash, zucchini and roasted red peppers. Not only is it well-​seasoned, but it’s grilled to perfection. Mmm, mm! It’s served on a bed of basmati rice and served with a side salad. I use the tzatziki sauce as my dressing. The only downside to Taziki’s Café is the location. I would love one in Iowa!
If you have children, they have a great deal on the weekend and kids can eat for free with any adult entrée.

Not really what I expected in terms of a Greek resturant. I was in the mood for a gyro, but what they call gyros are actually grilled meat chucks in a pita — not the roasted cylinder of freshly sliced delicious mystery meat that I’ve come to love from authentic establishments. Also, their taziki resembled more of a white cucumber slaw than actual creamy taziki. Not terrible, but not to my liking either.

Fresh, delicious and plenty. Service was fast and friendly. Great location at Inndbrook. Going to be back here again!

Food was good not fantastic, but good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Does not offer changing table in restroom which makes eating out with a small child a bit difficult.
Would not rush to go there again with the kiddos. Also would not recommend to anyone with a baby for the same reason.
