Went into the VCC mall just to browse. Wasn’t looking for anything in particular. Stopped into a few of my favorite stores, one of them which happens to be Macy’s. I walked around the clothing section and eventually made my way to the home section. When I arrived in the home section i noticed that there were quite a few things that were marked down for clearance. In particular there was a table with quite a few things on it that I could use for my apartment I moved into not too long ago. Standing at the table for sometime shuffling through the merchandice, I had an associate who seemed very busy but walked by me, without making eye contact, asking if «I need help with something». I replied no because I hadn’t seen anything that I had questions on at the time. After seeing a flat griddle that was out of the box and missing a piece I did have a question, but at this point I was unable to find the associate who had questioned me earlier. I walked around to see if I could find her and I couldn’t. She did come back to the register and I said I actually do have a question now, to which she said ok, again with no eye contact. I asked her if that particular product would recieve any additonal discount because it was not like it would have been if it was boxed. She simply sated no, and moved on, I said ok thank you, but she didn’t even acknowledge me. I feel that she could have at least made some eye contact with me and made an effort to see what she could do for me or see what I was talking about. I love Macy’s, and usually the associates, but this experience wasn’t great. The store was clean and the products were on a great sale. But if I go back and I see she is working, I just may avoid that area.
