Toyota-Scion of Gladstone

My experience at Toyota of Gladstone was much better than expected. This buying experience was better than all my past buying experiences combined. I was not once strip searched or publicly ridiculed. I came on the Costco buying program and was not disappointed. I received courteous and knowledgeable service from everyone. Angel Grose from the internet sales department totally crushed it. Trey Kittirath was super friendly too. My experience never felt overly car sales-​y. I bought a Camry and named it «Angel.» Would I go back to Toyota of Gladstone? Um. Does Toyota of Gladstone have a super comfy TV lounge, tasty-​smelling café, and squeaky clean showroom? Yes. The answer is yes.

I initially started working with Kermit to purchase a new truck. He had indicated that they had a ton of inventory and would be able to find what I was looking for if it wasn’t at their location. He said he found one and we were ready to put down a deposit, but then apparently the truck had damage and couldn’t pick up. Depending on the damage, why wouldn’t he have called us to see if it was ok. We tried contacting Kermit multiple times to follow up but received no return call. We then got passed off to Johnathan without notice. Again ready to put down a deposit, on multiple occasions he was supposed to follow up with us but did not. Finally we decided that they only way we would get an answere about a truck being inventory, we decided to drive 40 miles to Gladstone from Forest Grove. Turns out they found a truck, but wouldn’t be in for a week. So we asked for a loaner/​rental and was not given one. As such we did not purchase from this dealership for the lack of follow up/​communication, professionalism and overall experience.

Sold me a pos Toyota Tacoma and gave me a big story about how they would only sell me the truck if it was a good truck. And told me they were a dealership so they made sure the trucks were in good running order. Within 24 hours I had trouble with the truck. Took it back to get it checked out and was told the shocks and struts were bad. But that they would only replace the front two even tho all four were bad. When I asked them why they said the back were «okay». So I asked for a list of recommended repairs and maintenance on the truck. The list included a lot of basic maintenance and on the list was to replace the back shocks which they had told me two days before were okay. The total cost on my «good truck» were over 1,400.00 dollars. Took my truck home and had the same problem I took it back for in the first place. This time they told me it was exhaust problems. I asked to return the truck because it was not in good working order and was told I could if I got into something else from them. So I got a different Tacoma which is a good truck and was happy until I noticed over 3,500.00 added to the cost because of negative equity from the POS I returned. I asked why I was being charged that for a truck I had for only 24 hours and told me it was either that or keep the old truck. They wouldn’t even reduce the cost on the new truck to offset it. I will never go back again

Dropped my 4Runner off for a standard oil change at 9am. I came back to pick it up at 7pm to find out that all they did was a tire rotation. They tried to charge for a tire rotation even with ToyotaCare. I explained I dropped it off for an oil change that was supposed to be covered with ToyotaCare. I left after the oil change at 9pm. I am willing to drive to Wilsonville to get my service from now on.

Wow, I’ve never been so shocked to see how many lies person can throw at you. They will never give you a straight up answer. I drove over to beaverton instead. I suggest you do the same

From my purchase in January of a Certified Toyota Camry to my first service this week, I have been pleasantly surprised by my experience. It has been several years since I purchased a car and I wasn’t looking forward to it. However, my experience was smooth and pleasant. I love my car and enjoy it every day. I have recommended them at every opportunity.

After 4 car purchases in the last 10 years I leased a vehicle 2 years ago and was notified that my lease was up in 30 days by a new salesperson. I made an appointment to discuss my options and met with the salesperson. Come to find out my lease doesn’t mature for another 10 months. John the sales manager tried getting me into another vehicle for 105.00 more per month and wanted another down payment… these guys are a joke after all these years being loyal to Toyota of Gladstone I’m going somewhere else.

Went there for specific car they had on the lot. Bought a non-​Toyota car from these guys a few months ago. Been back for service a few times. These guys seem to want to treat people like they’re idiots. Just go somewhere else to get your Toyota. These guys are greasy.

The worst car buying experience I have had yet. I purchased a 2016 Toyota Tacoma from Gladstone Toyota. The vehicle took three weeks to arrive, then had one problem after another. After redoing the paperwork three times I finally took possession of a broken truck. The canopy that was purchased with the vehicle still hasn’t been provided 9 weeks later, the vehicle immediately needed to have the drivers seat repaired, and has continuing transmission problems. The dealership claimed they were due to low transmission fluid, then a programming error, then just to driving preferences. Still no fix, no canopy, and dozens of days trying to get thing fixed to no avail. The smiles and friendliness of the dealership certainly stops once you’ve paid for the vehicle. After that, it’s just call dodging and saying its someone else’s problem.

Let me start by saying that my initial experience of buying a car at Toyota of Gladstone was a good one. However, once the vehicle was purchased the problems began. It all started off with being told inaccurate information about an extended warranty that I feel as though I got tricked into buying. The lady in the finance department told us that the warranty was great because if we didn’t use it we would be entitled to a partial or full refund so we had nothing to lose with purchasing it. I should have known better because that was not the case. We got stuck paying for the entire warranty. $ 3,500 dollars which I have now tried to cancel after 7 months and got a $ 400 dollar refund. I am currently filing an Oregon Dealer Complaint about the misleading information in the finance department. I also had issues within a week after I bought the car with the tire pressure light repeatedly coming on. The cause was from corrosion in one of the wheels which resulted in a slow leak. Toyota’s response, I needed to purchase a new rim. And my last complaint with this dealership is when I was purchasing the vehicle I specifically asked the salesman if I could take the vehicle to any Toyota dealership for the year of free oil and tire rotations that was offered with the vehicle because I told him I would be moving out of state. His response was of course, no problem. Of course when I tried to take it to a Toyota dealership out of state they said I would have to contact Toyota of Gladstone to have them make arrangements to honor the service plan. And when I contacted them they simply said they would not honor it. I guess there motto is say anything at the time to get the sale. Whenever I try to contact anyone at the dealership whether it be in the finance department or management to resolve any of the repeated issues I’ve had I get put on hold or sent to someone’s voicemail. Long story short, I am unhappy with their customer service. I am a very patient and understanding individual but dealing with Toyota of Gladstone has tested me. Therefore I would not recommend doing business with them.

We all know car lots and car salesman are difficult, but we go anyway hoping for the best because we want something new and shiny! I Bought my precious truck at Toyota in bend. It was easily the worst experience ever and If I were to ever move back to bend I would happily drive over the mountain to avoid returning.
When I was ready to trade my truck in I went to the gladstone location, I was grateful I ended up with a great salesman who was helpful and down to earth. I was no easy customer as I had been screwed over before so I stayed pretty bossy and assertive through my time here, the staff clearly listen to my wants and I walked away with two new cars.
I return for all my oil changes and other needs, I’ve had some issues with info or items being lost, appointments not being set up correctly, the sales manager who also worked on the sell with me when I got the cars gave me his number and works with me personally anytime I come in. He really meets the ultimate customer service goal in my book. I always know now that I can come in and will be taken care of, he will go above and beyond and make sure I have something to eat or a beverage, his treat, to make me comfortable. Car lots are so difficult and I just appreciate him making me feel like I can trust them. It’s a great feeling! Thank you Jo of Toyota in gladstone for being great!

Called and talked to Jason early on a rainy Monday morning to see if they could get my car in for a wiper issue. Was asked if I could bring it in that morning. Was able to between rain showers around 7:30am. Received a call around 2pm to say they fixed the issue and the car was ready to be picked up. Easy-​peasy! I had originally asked if there was a shuttle available, and Jason described the process and times. As it turned out, I didn’t need use of the shuttle service, but it was nice to know it’s there for future reference. I also received a coupon for a free wash. Gladstone Toyota is the dealership closest to me — don’t have the need to go anywhere else with this kind of service.

Toyota of Gladstone is definitely the place to go for a new car. My husband and I have been toiling through the process until we arrived at Toyota and met Gordon Flynn. We really appreciated his straightforward, knowledgeable, and just truly kind sales approach. Thanks to Gordon we now have a brand-​new Rav 4… and we are loving it!

Awesome experience at Toyota of Gladstone! Ask for Joey. We are so happy with the deal we got on our new 4Runner SR5 premium! Went in for the base model and left with the upgraded model at a lower interest rate than the credit union quoted us. We also negotiated a higher price for the trade in value. Total payment under $ 500 per month! I highly recommend Toyota of Gladstone!

My girlfriend shopped for a «new to her» car for over two months. She is super picky and knew exactly what she wanted. Gordon was our salesman and once he knew her VERY specific criteria he would text us with possible matches every time one would come in. He was very friendly and patient and kept coming up with ideas and options. Gordon helped her find the exact car in her price range
You don’t buy a car from a dealership because of the name, you buy it because of the relationship you have with the people that work there. Gordon friendliness and outstanding customer service sealed the deal and we will be lifetime Toyota of Gladstone car buyers.

We had a great over all experience! Jeff Karlin Sr. was our salesperson and he took very good care of us! The entire buying process was painless and smooth! We are very content with our new purchase!

I used to love this dealership– we have already bought 2 cars there. So today a verbal agreement was made for a car and they said they would «pull it around back and put a sold sign on it.» We show up to do the paperwork and they sold the car to someone else.
It’s too bad they have no need to repeat customers… Very disappointed.

I was shopping for a car and found an online deal at a competitor they said they would match over the phone.
I drive an hour and a half in traffic to get there only to find they won’t match it. Why the *bleep* you running my credit and wasting everyone’s time when we had a set price? Went back to the competitor and completed the purchase with no issues.
Not a great attitude regarding customer service, I literally feel my blood boil a little whenever I drive past it. I wished Toyota would have sent me the customer survey!

I have always wanted a Chevy HHR Panel to Haul My Drum set.
I found one at Toyota of Gladstone. It was a 2007, and it was just what I wanted. I went in to the dealership and was greeted promptly. There was construction going on, so they were kinda of cramped for space. The sales person asked me to drive it so we took it for a drive
We came back and went in to the sales area. The sales person showed me the Carfax the shop bill and said I also get free oil changes for a year, plus road side assistance.
I have been shopping for a nice clean panel for a while and knew somewhat what the price would be. It was actually reasonable. The Chevy was clean and so I bought it. Love it, I have had it now for a while.

Matt’s car broke down two days before we were supposed to drive it up to Portland, so we ended up having to quickly acquire a car for him to use. After going up and down the strip, we decided to go with the one with the balloons out front. Just kidding! That’s not why we picked Toyota Gladstone!
We were looking at mainly used cars and we started working with Robert. He patiently showed us all of the options, and even took us to the Mazda dealership next door to see what they have that are still in the process of getting Toyota Certified. He was very easy to talk to and very eager to provide customer service, which I was very happy about.
They were willing to work with us and the final price, though still a little over what we wanted to pay, still falls within our budget. We left with a low mileage 2011 RAV4 (Matt does not like the blue color but I think it’s just fiiiine).
The finance department was quick and easy to work with, and they made great effort to meet with us on the price. I can’t wait till their new facility is complete so the car buying experience can be done at a much better located office next door (supposed to have a panini bar too?)
