I am always looking for THEE nails salon, one I will keep coming back to and I’m happy to say I have finally found it. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in. She (Kim) was very meticulous with her work and I got exactly what I wanted. My sisters won’t go to any other salon, now I understand why. After 3 weeks, their nails were showing no signs of lifting at all and still looked great!!! If you’re looking for an amazing nail salon, give this place a try… Trust me, you won’t regret it.

Didn’t even do the nails how I asked and still charged me $ 38, overpriced and my nails still don’t look good. All around bad idea to go here

If I could give this nail place (it is not a salon) a negative number of stars I would. I am in Gilbert visiting relatives and we all went for mani/​pedis. The owner did the nails for my two cousins while she was on the blue tooth complaining about her credit card machine. One cousin had to scrape off her own nails because the owner was too slow.
As for me, the person who did my nails cut me twice. She kept filing my nails down and apologizing. Then the owner came over and filed some more. I really think this gal was in training and had no clue how to do gel nails and I was her guinea pig. Shame on the owner! The person who did my mani/​pedi didn’t even know how to coordinate both treatments.
Do not go here. They are unprofessional and downright incompetent! I now have scabs on my cuticles and I hope I don’t get an infection. I come and visit Gilbert often but I will never come back here again.

I have given this place 3 chances, and extremely disappointed. Every time I go in I have the worst experience. They have the worst customer service, the lady who owns the salon is rude and unprofessional. She talked on the phone the whole time and when she was polishing my nails she hurt me multiple times. When I told her that it was painful she just ignored me. She charged me $ 40 for just a gel fill!!! I never paid that much before it’s like she made up the price on the spot. Stay away from this place, not worth it at all.

I have been coming here for 6 months now, and everyone here is amazing! Great customer service everyone is soooo nice and great attention to detail I always get gel mani/​pedi and this is the only gel nails that last a full 2 weeks the pedicure lasts over a month ! Thank you guys

Used to be a great place to go but lately there has been some changes. Technicians are in too much of a rush and often distracted by personal business. They do good work when they focus. But lately they are often too busy on their phones or chatting with other employees to truly focus on their customers. I think they can turn it around if they just conduct personal business elsewhere, not in front of customers. Give your customers more attention. With the prices we pay, we deserve to be your focus for that short period of time, not subjected to waiting for you to text someone, or listen to your personal conversation in another language with you clumsily paint my toes.

Best nail salon! Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. The owner is the nicest lady and takes care of all her customers! Clean environment and extremely friendly staff love love this salon.

This place is Adorable, however their service was Terrible. I couldn’t get my girl to focus what so ever! She was on her cell phone calling and hanging up trying to call someone. Then would stop and walk somewhere, talk to a coworker, and whatever else she was doing. It took over an hour to get a fill! If that wasn’t bad enough my nails were lumpy and crooked. I only came here because one of my girlfriends suggested it for our day out. I would not suggest this place to anyone who wants good service or to enjoy their experience.

Island Nails looks nice on the inside and that’s about the only positive think I can say about my experience.
The staff is unprofessional and not very courteous. They weren’t flat out rude, but it seemed as though they couldn’t care less about my business or personal satisfaction. The nail tech who polished my nails didn’t talk to me the whole time except to ask why I didn’t want gel and when she was finished just walked away without advising me of drying time or even bothering to place my hands under a light or dryer. I had to air dry for about 15 minutes before another man offered to turn on the uv lights to assist my drying time. The «polish bar» is very uncomfortable as well.
In the end, I paid $ 10 for a poorly executed polish change. My nails weren’t even dry when I was told I was «ready» and to «be careful» so of course, I nicked my semi wet polish the second I got in the car. One day later, my nails look
crappy– kind of like the taste Island Nails left in my mouth.

Paid 50 for full set and fell off three days later !!! Never going back !! Told me one price and paid another for just a polish change ! They said 8 and charged my card 17

Wow. What a terrible experience. Not only did I have the most unrelaxing pedicure of my life. As I was balancing a pillow with the gel machine on my lap so they could do my mani/​pedi all at once. It was just below average customer service. I’m all for getting me in and out but after all was said and done I was charged $ 80! I know she just made up the price bc she changed the total twice. I have never been charged so much at any salon. I’ve been to multiple places and this was by far the worst. I have no problem paying for my services and I always expect to pay a lot but I hadn’t even gotten the full service I supposedly paid for. I will NOT be back and I hope that I can save even one person from making the same mistake that I did. Stay away!

I’ve been coming here for since 2012. Everyone is wonderful they all equally do a great job.

I went to pay for just a regular set of nails, no French tip, no nothing except gel color and was charged 50 $!!!
Totally double what I’ve ever paid for a full set of nails with gel in my life
Then one week later 2 nails just fall off right at the tip just by me pulling a chair out to sit
I go back in she replaces them for free then 4 days later 2 more fall off at the tip!
Now I am due for a fill currently holding the 2 latest breaks on with superglue my nails look ridiculous and I’m on the hunt for yet another nail shop that doesn’t overcharge and does good work everytime not just when they’re trying to impress you as a new customer as they always want to know where you got your nails done last time, because clearly they point out the flaws the last nail place left on your nails!!!

Absolutely the BEST! I have gone here for about a year and a half. The staff is great and they do an awesome gel mani. Kim and Kyle are the best.

I’ve been here quite a few times since I moved back to Gilbert about seven months ago. The salon is cute and clean, the chairs are newer and the staff is pleasant for the most part. Of the 6+ times I’ve been, I’d say about four of those have resulted in some sort of issue.
If you want a pedicure and manicure, be sure to ask for them separately unless you want an un-​relaxing experience trying to balance your foot in the air, switch hands for filing and making sure the electric dryer light thingy (for gel nails) doesn’t fall into the water. I get that they want to knock it all out at once but wonder if they themselves have experienced how awkward and annoying it is.
I’ve come out of this place with wonky/​bumpy gel nails, cuts that hurt for days and bruises the size of oranges on the backs of my legs.
With gel nails and pedicure, I typically spend about $ 70 each time. That seems like a lot to me, especially because it’s never seemed to be a pleasant experience so I’ll be looking for a new spot.

Stopped in for a pedicure with a friend this afternoon. Swanky looking studio with great pedi chairs. The middle level package is $ 35 and includes callus removal, sugar scrub and warm towel treatment. My feet feel great, just the right amount of scrubbing and softness. I also opted to get an eyebrow waxing done as well and wished I had seen to check in on Unilocal and get that free. Oh well, hopefully next time!

I used to be a regular but I found a place that won’t give me sores on my fingers due to a ridiculous amount of over filing. The name of the new place is Polish & Pamper in Mesa thats half the price, way more professional, and polite. I am having to type differently due to the sore I have from Kim. She screwed up my nails the time before with the shape and ignored my request to not have an add on during my pedi, when I decline politely the second time she said, «Whatever!» I was shocked, but always get small businesses a second chance. She filed them the exact way last time when I really explained how I wanted them shaped. I could not have been more clear on an almond shape, like a long oval with a small point. She is so used to just strictly doing the old school square they turned out so bad, I am embarrassed and hide them. They are square with a crazy point. The nail with the sore on it, it so over filed I was speechless that she didn’t fix it herself. I am not one to say anything, I am just one to never support them again. I have never spent less than $ 60 there. For my overlay gel box point shaped nails with a sore that keeps getting worst cost $ 55. I can not wait to never go there again. I will post pics of my nails. I have seen a decline in clientele and never see the guy manager there anymore, I am not surprised if they are closed soon. I hope not, but it will happen. Kyle is so good there, shame on me for not sticking to my guns and requesting only him. He is probably a lot of clients reasons to keep coming back. He is so great. Kim needs to not bring her bad attitude and old school ways to the shop. Get with the times and be nice because I spend a lot on my nails! :)

I went to Kim based on Unilocal reviews and boy am I happy that I did. I am REALLY picky about my nails and Kim not only made them perfect, but she did it FAST. I’ve had some sloppy french tip gel manicures at other places that have taken twice the time and left me feeling upset for even paying. Not with Kim. They were beautiful, perfectly symmetrical, and absolutely flawless. No bubbles and no gel polish spilling over from my nail onto my skin. I also got a pedicure from her that was just as fantastic. She is so friendly, as is all of the staff at Island Nails. I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience :) I’ll be back for sure!

This place is AMAZING! It is my favorite place to come get my nails/​toes done anyways I want! They have a huge variety of nail polish and gelish nail colors including a big selection of 3D glitters!
The staff is so friendly and welcoming; you’ll never leave here disappointed!
They do quality work and really take their time to do their best!
