Harbor Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

I highly recommend Dr. Bird and his staff if you’re looking for an oral surgeon. Dr. Bird and his team members are amazing at what they do. I had all four wisdom teeth taken out and I have zero pain. From start to finished I had such a great experience! Thank you Dr. Bird for taking me in after the weekend of Christmas and taking this pain away!

I had the best experience I think anyone could have after having their wisdom teeth removed. I absolutely had no intentions of ever having mine out, until they started to grow roots into my cheek bones (ouch). I checked with my insurance and Harbor Oral surgery was NOT in network for me, but the Unilocal reviews where just so much better than the in network options. I decided I would rather pay out of pocket than have a bad experience (worth it!). The whole staff was absolutely wonderful! My mouth got infected (I smoke, its bad I know) and when I needed a follow up visit they had a very early morning appointment available THE NEXT DAY so that I didn’t have to miss anymore work. WOW! I especially loved that Dr. Bird called me at 7pm (well after office hours) to make sure that I wasn’t having any problems and gave me his personal cell phone number should I experience any issues over the weekend! How freaking cool is that? Should I ever need oral surgery again I wont hesitate to come back.

I got my wisdom teeth removed at Harbor Oral Surgery by Dr. Hinz. I must say, he is a saint. He called me personally the day after to see how I was doing, at that point I was on pain meds and just fine! I ended up getting dry socket in one of my lower wisdoms, (more than likely my fault for not cleaning well enough…) but he came in on a Sunday to help me feel immediately better. The initial procedure was a breeze. I am terrified of needles, and Dr. Hinz & his lovely assistants made sure I was calm & talked me through it. It was over within a half hour & I had minimal bleeding and no swelling. The team at Harbor Oral is incredible. The front desk is knowledgeable and genuinely sweet. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needed any oral surgery done.

When my plan to never have wisdom tooth problems failed I received a referral to a Rainier dental office in Bonney Lake (NOT affiliated with Harbor oral, but keep reading, and you’ll get it). When I’m a pretty shy person, and when I went to this dentist I felt bullied and badgered, here I was looking for reassurance and confidence in a procedure I was extremely nervous about and I left that Rainier dental I felt WORSE than when I’d went in.
Lucky for me I have knowledge, and it is power, and I came on Unilocal.I read the two reviews below mine, and looked at the 5-​star rating and gave the office a call. When I went in for my consultation I was terrified, convinced I’d just take whatever my wisdom teeth could dish out, but by the end of the appointment I felt so much better. Dr Bird was my surgeon, and I cannot stress how amazing the staff and Dr Bird were, I left there feeling confident in the fact I was going to be ok and that I was in good hands.
The day of my surgery I was a MESS, I am not good with needles, and it was my first time being put out, but they let my husband sit with me until right before I fell asleep.
The surgery took less time than they’d thought, and from what I remember they were still amazing afterwards. Dr. Bird called me that evening to check up on me and even left me a number to reach him any time I needed, you just don’t get that kind of service any more. You know a Dr i the real thing when he is confident enough to give out his number so his patients have that peace of mind they are in good hands.
I hope I’m lucky enough to never need an oral surgery again, because I’m not good with needles, but if I ever do I will definitely never EVER go anywhere else.

As a person who hates going to the Dentist, it surprises me to say that this was a great experience. I have had so many problems finding a dentist I liked, and not just any dentist, but an oral surgeon. I came here, the facility was state of the art. The doctor told me everything I needed to hear, and even some things I didn’t want to hear. He was very nice, and so were the assistants. On the day of the surgery, he made me very comfortable, made sure I wasn’t cold, offered pillows, and blankets. Because I was being put to sleep through introvienous drugs, he used a numbing solution on my arm so I didn’t have to feel the needle going in. The whole procedure took about 45 minutes. They also had great follow up care.
