JSIII Moving services was founded in 2011, by owner, James Snowden III.

We take pride in ensuring that every move is executed in a professional, caring and competent manner. We are much bigger than just a bunch of guys showing up to move your personal belongings. Trustworthiness is a key element in the moving process.

JSIII Moving is owned and operated by James Snowden III a husband and father of three (III) daughters. His organization skills, strength and endurance has successfully handled and completed the most challenging residential moves with very little advance notice. James was initially exposed to the moving industry at age 15 when he began working with Snowden Movers, a family owned business operated by his grandfather, James Snowden Sr. of Frederick, MD. He now continues his grandfather’s legacy by utilizing his precise skill and experience to relocate families just like his into their new homes.

To date, many families have been relocated by James and JSIII Movers. As a result, James has established reputations as one of the most reliable and trustworthy full service professional moving company in the area.

I found these guys on Google and decided to go with them after getting prices from other companies. They were the most affordable and had great reviews.
I waa happy with my experience from the first call to the last piece of furniture moved. They were very professional and courteous. They handled my belongings with care. Up to my actual moving date they responded to all of my emails quickly.
These guys are honest and hard working. I highly recommend them!

I can’t say enough positives about this company. I chose JSIII after researching many moving companies in the area. My move involved multiple stops and an hour-​and-​a-​half drive. The movers were polite, quick, and extremely reasonably priced! I would definitely chose them again. You will not be disappointed!

These guys are the best movers in the area. Hands down. Prompt, courtesy, hard-​working, strong, and friendly. Which makes it all the more surprising they are the least expensive movers in the area. It cost me less to have them pack my 26-​foot truck in Germantown, MD, than it cost to have the truck unloaded in Knoxville, TN. Unbelievable, but true!

These guys are awesome. They arrived on time, worked incredibly fast, took no breaks (even though I insisted), and offered no complaints. I even had to make a last minute adjustment the night before the move to ask for 3 men instead of 2, and they had no issues. Would definitely hire them again in the future. Best moving company in the area!

BEST movers in the Germantown/​Gaithersburg area hands down! I moved on Halloween (yes. Halloween –_​-​) James responded promptly to my inquiry within the hour and gave me very reasonable rates, the best I had heard in my search. The movers were super professional, friendly, and RIDICULOUSLY fast (you would not think there’s guys get paid by the hour by how fast and efficient they move!) Disassembled and reassembled furniture, they moved my 3 story townhouse in under 4 hours! Thank you James and team, you guys were truly a lifesaver!

After searching Unilocal for good reviews for a moving company, I discovered James and his crew. They were tremendous! Courteous and so careful with all of my things. I was moved from Frederick to Waldorf in 6 hours and they charged me exactly what we had discussed-​I highly recommend this company and will be using them again when I purchase a home in LaPlata next year!

James and his team moved me just a few days ago. Their estimate was in my budget and after reading their stellar reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give them a try. I’m glad I did. James called me the day before my move to confirm, which I really appreciated. They arrived promptly with a big enough truck to haul all my stuff. They were professional, worked very hard, and ensured all of items were protected from damage. It was intensely hot and humid on my moving day and I have to give them extra props for being so diligent and organized. JSIII was very affordable and efficient and I would definitely use them again. I highly recommend them!

I asked 3 moving companies for quotations on a local move (we moved about 5 – 10 minutes away from the old house: p). JS III had the cheapest rates! They had 5 star reviews on Unilocal so I did not have to think twice– I scheduled for Saturday morning.
Come Saturday, I waited. (alas, they might have forgotten me!) I called, and Mr. Snowden answered. I wasn’t on the schedule. My confirmation email went to the blackhole in the worldwideweb. He immediately made arrangements, brought an extra guy to help out, and gave me a discount. He was also present during the move. They were all very friendly and professional. They were careful and wrapped all the furniture (this was included in the cost– wrapping materials, etc. They charge by the hour depending on the number of people per customer’s preference plus truck fee) They were quick. Moved 6 rooms worth of furniture (including disassembling, loading, unloading, driving to the 2nd location and putting them back together) in about 4 hours.
Would have given 4 stars but they surely made up for it. A+ for effort! Will use them again in the future if need be. Highly recommended!:)

I’m so happy I decided to look up Unilocal reviews, instead of just going with a Google search. My initial search through Google and Craigslist gave me the extremes of high price movers to low-​end almost too cheap to believe or trust prices.
Checking Unilocal,I found Mr. Snowden’s company. With such great reviews, I gave him a call. He is friendly, polite, and VERY reasonable. Through phone and email, we set up the date of service (which was on a Sunday, as well).
They showed up ON TIME and were very friendly and courteous. James and his 2 movers, Bobby & Sean (or is it Shawn? Shaun?) went to work right away. James left after 30 mins, but I only had a 1 bdrm apt to move. Bobby and Sean were more than able to take care of the task.
They used blankets and plastic wrap on my furniture. I never once saw or heard items/​boxes being dropped or brutalized. They were efficient and timely. I never saw them stop for breaks or on their phones.
They moved me from Germantown, MD to Baltimore, MD. It was just shy of 4 hrs.
I highly recommend this company and would definitely hire again! Thank you James, Bobby, and Sean!

We needed a moving company on short notice for New Years eve. We were referred to James Snowden by a friend that had used his company a few months earlier and was happy with the move. He was very quick in responding to our emails and was able to estimate the time needed for the move from the email with a list of our stuff. He estimated from 4 – 5 hours with a truck included, but it only took him and his crew 4 hours.
James and his crew were very friendly and most importantly, careful with our furniture and the walls. My wife was very concerned about damage to walls from previous furniture delivery men. James and his crew were very careful and avoided damaging anything. They brought all the furniture pads and covers and did not charge us anything extra.
They were very courteous and removed their shoes prior to moving the furniture into the new place. We are Asian after all.
They also made a stop at our storage unit to drop off a table with no problems.
The only thing I thought was weird was that because of the short notice for the move, we had to pay in cash. It was lucky that we had enough cash on hand for the move. It did take him a few days to email us the invoice after, but I figured that was because it was over the weekend and he was busy with more moves.
I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a good moving company.
