Have been going to Andy’s Nails for over 5 years. Have never been disappointed with the service, all of the girls are friendly and give professional and long lasting pedicures. Reasonable prices and short waiting times for service. Good selection of polishes to choose from or you can bring your own.

In spite of the bad reviews I decided to come and get an acrylic fill in. Thia nail shop is super close to my boyfriend’s house. I arrived at approximately 10:50am as a walk in. I was seen within 10 min. of arrival by Jennie, she was very nice and knowledgable. The shop is not the largest but from what I saw it was clean. I can’t speak to the polish collection because I brought my own. Over all my fill-​in was $ 15 and I have no complaints about that service. There wasn’t anything spectacular about this nail shop just good service at an affordable price. Based on my experience I would return for service

I went here once for a gel manicure a while ago and I was satisfied with the way my nails looked. However, it was a painful experience. Basically, the lady that did my nails was pretty rough. When she was filing my nails on the side she would do it too hard and end up filing down the good skin. This caused me to bleed. Therefore, I never came back.
The price was $ 30.00 dollars.

This place did a good job on my nails but the reason it’s getting 2 stars is because after 3 days (got them done on saturday) they had started to chip. Ugh… I was infuriated! Never again!

I only came here because this is my friend’s regular place and I figured you can’t mess up a pedicure (turns out you can). The polish selection is minimal and they barely carry any OPI — this should be a big red flag. Even though there was not a soul in the place, the lady who did my pedi wouldn’t let me wait for my friend to arrive, and instead started my service. She spent the next 10 minutes trying to up-​sell me on: manicure, eyebrow wax, and (even though I gave her my color choice) French polish on the toes. The clean up of my feet was decent (no exfoliating rub) but the polish application was horrendous –rushed and haphazard. Price was a little cheaper ($ 22) than I am used to paying, but not worth it. I won’t be returning.

I went to Andy’s Nails after several years and was not pleased with the service at all. The nail tech kept trying to get me to do a gel manicure even though I told her no several times (I just wanted a regular French manicure). I asked for a flower design on my ring fingers, and she obviously has no idea how to do a flower because it looks more like three balloons or a pieces of a candy cane. I also kept asking her to redo the design smaller and she kept doing it the exact same size. After her third attempt I gave up and just told her it was fine.
Also, my nails started chipping the next day! And I had made it a point not to do any dishes or anything that would ruin my nails as I had a couple of events to go to that weekend. I got my nails done on Saturday, and by Tuesday they were completely chipped and looked awful. I do not plan on going back here.

I am very pleased with the andy’s nail salon in Germantown my nail technicians nail is beautiful, I call her beauty she does a wonderful job on my nails and I would recommend her to any person who wants their nails done to perfection.

Beauty does excellent work. Got gel nails and pedi today. Look amazing. Go see her you won’t be disappointed!

I came here a week ago for a filling and cannot believe my nails look so bad 5 days later. I came here because my usual shop (simply nails) was closing soon and were too full to fit me in and asked for me to come a day later. My impatience made me go to Andy’s nails. At first I was ok with my decision but then when my nail tech, Beauty, said she could tell I was picky and that I shouldn’t be so picky I knew it was going downhill. I don’t even know where the assumption came from… I didn’t even say anything to her that would make me seem picky other than that I couldn’t decide between two shades of pink. Then she was like «Honey men don’t like picky but I see your ring so your husband must be picky too. Two picky people together is not good. «My mom taught me to respect my elders so I held my tongue rather than curse out this woman. Then she cut my nails, didn’t file them so they were so sharp on the edges. I asked her to prese fix them because I did not like the shape. She said she would do it next time because she had already painted my nails and her ride was there. Not only was her paint job similar to that of a blind cat on ecstacy but as I’d look at my nails 5 days later I’m so pissed! The color is off the edges, my cuticles look bad and I ended up having to file them after ruining 3 pairs of my good pantyhose for work. Never going there again unless I want to be insulted and given filling that a child could have done.

I usually do my own nails, but for my birthday I came here for a mani/​pedi and I got Beauty. She was very nice and we had great conversation. It was clear to me that she’s a hard worker and really cares about the place. The only thing was she offered me a lot more than I wanted — waxing, gel nails, etc. I guess that’s her job to promote her services and I didn’t mind much, but it would probably annoy some people. I just said no thank you and she understood.
The mani/​pedi was nice. She gave a great foot/​calf massage. (Good thing I remembered to shave my legs lol) She was sanitary, used new gloves, new flip flop thingy for my pedicure, all that stuff they’re supposed to do. I get a lot of flaking skin on the sides of my thumbs from picking at it from anxiety sometimes and all of the other nail artists I’ve had point it out and ask what happened and gossip to everyone about it, but Beauty never made me feel self-​conscious. She was gentle with cleaning it up and never pointed it out. I really appreciated that.
The polish was great quality and stayed on for over 2 weeks. I ended up removing it myself not because it was chipping but because I was bored of the color.
I usually get my eyebrows waxed from the Hair Cuttery over on Century Blvd but they started being lazy and completely ruining my brows. So I came here hoping for something better and got Beauty again and she did a wonderful job. Didn’t hurt much at all. She didn’t slather on a ton of lotion like they do at HC. And she got the arches right. Aaand it’s the same $ 8 fee, which is a steal. I’ll definitely be back on a routine basis for upkeep. Highly recommend!

My daughter went here and had the worst experience. They insisted on doing French manicure and she didn’t want it. Girl was on phone while time while taking the gel off. My daughter was very uncomfortable with their rudeness and decided to leave. They physically blocked the door and wouldn’t let her leave until she paid for this awful work they were doing that she refused to let them even do. She had to force her way by and the lady actually struck my daughter with a slap on the arm. I should have called the cops when I heard this. Unbelievable, shopper beware.

DO NOT GO HERE! They do not follow health and sanitation guidelines. I went for a quick bikini wax and was told to lay on the table without anything covering it. During the wax the tech did not wear gloves and she double dipped the wax stick. Not only that but she double dipped a stick into a vaseline jar that she wanted to rub on me. They are not ignorant of sanitation guidelines they just refuse to follow them. In the end I’m the idiot for not getting up and walking out. Don’t take your chances with this place! Contracting something awful is not worth the $ 15 bucks you’ll save!

I love the staff their very professional and nice they never turn down a person who comes in after their close. However I believe the nail polish they use is very cheap. The saturday before mothers day I went to get a full set. After coming home and looking at my nails I noticed one was crooked. The clear polish they put on as a top coat starting peeling after one week. The following friday was my bday weekend so i went for a pedi. Pedi was very nice however again now a week later my polish is chipping which has never happened before after a week with a pedi. So again customer service great but quality not too good. Now I am back on a search to find a good nail place. :(

Do NOT recommend this place at all. Not good customer service. She didn’t put the toes nail separators so my pinky got smudged. She kept picking at a cut I had. And then had two BIG smudges on my nail. She should never have missed them. Not coming back!!!

I’ve lived down the street from this place for about 5 years and have gotten acrylic on and off. the only thing that’s kept me coming back is the price… they’re cheap.
a few weeks ago i went in to get a fill and the lady tells me i should get a full set because my nails look bad. she starts separating my nail from the acrylic with that slide-​a-​fake-​nail-​between-​the-​new-​and-​old technique (which usually hurts) and i ask her if we can do it the other way instead (soaked in acetone). nail people must know best because she tells me «no» and proceeds to continue slicing through my fingers with the nail. one bleeding middle finger later, i ask her to immediately quit it and just do it the way i had asked. instead she tells me that it’s my fault i’m bleeding becuase i have thin nails. WTF. i dont know how often this place cleans their utensils, but if she was willing to finish me up while bleeding without a 2^nd thought, then they definitely need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau immediately.

I used to go here exclusively until I learned what acrylics were supposed to look like. They definitely rush you through the nail services and I’m fairly certain they reuse their latex gloves. I always see them blowing into inside out gloves. That’s just nasty.
They get the 2 stars because they do a pretty good eyebrow wax and their nail designs are really pretty.
For acrylics I go to VT Nails in the Germantown Commons shopping center, and for anything else I’ve started going to Cute Tips in Kentlands.

A last minute french pedicure that has lasted for 3 weeks-​no gel! I think it was Amy who did an awesome job. She was very friendly. I made an appt. before work on the same day. They were prompt and helpful. Unfortunately, there parrafin wax was not up and running. But, all in all, a great visit.

Affordable — nice — clean and friendly. I guess this describes it all. I will be back. Just moved from California and found this place with Unilocal recommendations. Even though they had a wait I did not feel rushed.

It’s really so hard to find an affordable nail place that does a good job.
In terms of service, they are about the best you will get for Vietnamese nail shops. In terms of quality, I’ve had really good experiences and straight awful ones at Andy’s Nails. I’ve had my nails done by Jade and the owner, Tina. Their pedicures are generally very consistent, but not their full set gel acrylics.
The first time, I got it done by Jade and was very pleased with the look for almost 2 weeks after my appointment. I got my nails done last Saturday and it happened to not be busy. Nonethless, while Tina was friendly, she rushed through my nails; in fact, she is always rushing through nails to do the next customer. I asked for super short gel acrylics and got long, unevenly shaped nails. I was still picking plastic off around my cuticles an hour after I left. The worst part is that I paid all that money and they only lasted me 5 days before they looked completely disgusting and I had to peel them off. $ 36 was definitely thrown down the drain on that trip.
I would tread carefully with their full sets, but if you’re in the area and looking for an affordable place to get a mani and/​or pedi, this is the place.

Did a great job applying the gel overlay to my nails after convincing me to give it a try for a more natural look. The ladies are super nice and talkative and speak great English… if you care about that.
Prices are reasonable and best of all they help up to their promise that if it didnt last 2 weeks they would fix it. Jenny did my nails and after a week they had a little bit of chipping (I work in a restaurant) so I came back in; she fixed them up no problem!
