These guys do great work — Chris and his team have taken great care of my Audi a few times now. A mark of a top-​notch repair shop is that they can actually repair many parts giving you issues on your car, rather than a much more expensive out-​right replacement. They keep my car on the road, and some cash in my wallet; five stars all the way!

I discovered Advanced Auto Service about 3 years ago when I had first moved to the area. My vehicle had an issue with the starter and I was forced to have it towed to the nearest mechanic. The tow truck driver recommended this place so I took a gamble and had my vehicle towed here. The first time I met the owner Chris, he has always been very friendly, extremely helpful, very knowledgable, and honest about the issues going on with my cars and the prices needed to get everything replaced or repaired. On my first visit for example, I was only charged roughly $ 200 dollar for a new starter. I was immediately relieved because I thought I would get ripped off like any other mechanic. I’m pretty sure other mechanics probably would have charged me close to $ 500 dollars for a new starter. Since that first time, I have locked myself in as permanent customer.
Over the years, I have taken both of my vehicle in for various repairs and scheduled maintenance. I’ve had to get my transmission flushed twice on both vehicles, anti-​freeze flushed, brake flushed, oil changed, wheel bearing replaced, brakes and rotors replaced, etc. Each time I brought my vehicle in for an issue, Chris made sure to carefully look and properly track down the problem and give me a price breakdown of everything. I really appreciate how Chris prints out an estimate showing the exact number of hours needed to complete a job, as well as a print out of how much the part will cost for him to order it. He’s very upfront about the costs and I have had NO indication that he was ever trying to get over in any kind of way. I know for a fact that many other mechanics would have purchased a part and mark up the price to make a profit. I have been in the office with Chris where he was looking up parts and he would say «Come here and look. This is how much the part wll cost. But I will try to call around and see if I can get it at a cheaper price for you. I’m trying to find you original parts because I don’t recommend you putting aftermarket parts on the car because they won’t hold up.»
If you live nearby in the Gaithersburg, Clarksburg, or Germantown, I highly reocmmend this place to get your car worked on. Stop taking your car to the expensive dealership. This place will handle all of your mechanical needs. You’re always at peace when you have a mechanic who’s not going to cheat you and knows exactly what they’re doing.
