Elite Moving Labor is a national pack and load company that provides moving labor. Essentially this means we provide movers without the truck for loading, unloading and packing services. Our service is designed for consumers who have rented a truck, mobile storage unit or freight trailer and require their items to be load or unloaded but not transported.

In addition to loading, unloading and packing services we also provide move planning and advice for self service and DITY moves. We help you determine the best transportation method (e.g. mobile storage versus a rental truck) and assist with coordinating our movers and the chosen method. We also provide in home services to help with home staging, decluttering, organizing, junk cleanup and related tasks.

History

Established in 2004.

Elite Moving Labor LLC is one of the largest pack and load companies in the US. Prior to becoming Elite Moving Labor in 2009, the company was named Pacific West Moving and operated in the Washington D.C. area since 2004. Our reputation speaks for itself and we pride ourselves on providing quality, reliable movers for your moving labor needs.

We perform nearly 5000 moves annually in the Washington D.C. area and over 15,000 moves across the country. While we anticipate always providing exceptional moving services we are currently expanding into move planning for self service moves. Early in 2012 we anticipate the ability to instantly quote your self service move needs to help you find the cheapest moving options. Through our integrations and partnerships with truck rental, mobile storage and ‘You Load, We Drive’ companies our long term goal is to make moving fun, easy and affordable.

Business Owner

Brandon Scivolette founded Elite Moving Labor (Formerly Pacific West Moving) in June of 2004. Operating under the simple principal of providing high quality labor for moves at an unbeatable price. From day one it was imperative that the customer not only be satisfied with the move, but also with the movers. Many full service companies have «career movers» and while they do have great experience, their personalities and customer service is less than desirable. To distinguish our company from the rest, we hire clean cut, affluent, courteous, polite movers who can provide complete satisfaction.

Brandon Scivolette is a serial entrepreneur specializing in the transportation and moving industry. In 2007 he acquired operating rights for three Budget Truck and Car locations but divested at the end of 2008. Current projects include a small delivery brokerage CraigslistDelivery as well as franchising of College Hunks Hauling Junk.

We had the worst possible experience with Elite Movers a couple of weeks ago, and their subcontractor, Christian Brothers.
The one good thing — they were PUNCTUAL.
It took 5 hours for these two men to move items into a 16 foot POD (while my husband and I loaded boxes into a 10 foot truck in 45 minutes — and he had a bilateral hip replacement.) — I mentioned several times that there was NO sense of urgency — it was clear these guys were paid by the hour. They seemed to be MEANDERING through the job. Additionally, these folks came with NO tools, NO clear knowledge of how to load a POD even though the ELITE website states otherwise, and RIGHT after being shown exactly what was very fragile and needed EXTREME care, tried to load it up without wrapping. Thank GOD my husband was standing there to catch it. The list on this is long, but the worst part is we received a survey afterwards, and my husband put extensive detail into it — and no one responded. Nothing. So clearly, Elite doesn’t actually CARE what your experience was like. it’s just for show, apparently.
They apparently do NO screening of their subcontractors so you have no idea what you are getting, and they don’t hold themselves responsible when things go wrong. so at this point, you would be doing yourselves, and your move, a deep disservice by not considering alternate options.
Moving is SO stressful, and these guys made it worse. Maybe UnilocalING will yield some kind of follow up. I won’t hold my breath.

They showed up almost two hours late and screwed me with my building on the use of an elevator. They also forged the document with the start times. No customer service help when I called.

DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT USING THIS COMPANY. We hired this company expecting to have movers meet us but none showed up. They did not even call to tell us there would not be anyone there to move us once we arrived. So-​called customer service is not «open» on weekends to help. To date they have not refunded our deposit! Do not trust their promises.

Elite movers were extremely professional and very accommodating! I was running late with my truck move and they were able to change their schedule to stop by a few hours later as opposed to charging me for nothing. Gwen (reservation or Project manager) was very helpful and extremely nice. The two movers were very professional and did a fantastic job with the move. I am excited I used Elite movers and would definitely recommend them if you need extra help. The rate was a bit high due to the 2 hour/​2 person minimum but that seems to be the standard. Thanks!

I hired Elite Moving Labor to help unload a 26′ truck that was approximately 75% full (items from storage, including a hot tub), then travel approximately 0.5 miles to a condo, load the truck with all our furniture and some large boxes, return to the original location and empty the truck again.
Three movers were scheduled to show up at 900… I was notified by phone they were going to be a little late due to traffic (very responsible); they showed up at 930, quickly surveyed the job (due to the hot tub) and were unloading in ~ 5 minutes. These guys were being paid by the hour but it was hard to tell, they were really hustling the entire day. They completed the entire job in approximately 7 hours, I was completely impressed.
The booking process and all interactions with the main office, as well as all interactions during the day with the movers was professional and very courteous. NOTHING was damaged during the move and we have some over-​sized furniture.
OVERALL: Cost-​effective, professional, quick, reponsible… I would definitely use them next time around, no matter how big or small the job.
