History

Established in 2009.

We are really excited you want to know more about us! We pride ourselves most on being able to take amazing images in camera. not in photoshop. Don’t get us wrong we use photo editing software; we use it for enhancing our images; not for saving them. Mike has been a photographer for 20 years, and when he met Brynn first came love, then came marriage, and then came photography duo! The single best decision we made in planning our wedding was hiring Brynn and Mike to shoot our engagement session and wedding!
The pricing was very reasonable, they were in contact with us the whole time and quick to respond to emails (this is perhaps the most important thing to know about a vendor if you’re just starting out with planning your wedding), they listened to what we wanted, they provided expert advice, they made us and our family comfortable when shooting, the pictures turned out great, the editing didn’t take long.
Brynn and Mike delivered on what they promised (and more), did it in a communicative and professional manner, and the photos turned out perfect. They are some of our most prized possessions and we’re extremely happy with everything. Can’t recommend D’Avello enough.

Brynn and Mike are amazing! I really can’t oversell them and their work. They were the second photographers my now-​husband and I met with, and as soon as we got in the car after the meeting, we knew we were going to hire them for our wedding. Right from the start, they were so friendly, easy to get along with, and accommodating.
Going into the search, we hadn’t planned on doing an engagement shoot at all. They convinced us to do it as a way to break the ice and get comfortable with being photographed (and the shoot is included anyway with their wedding packages!), and we are so glad we did. Even though we are both pretty camera-​shy, we had a fantastic time on the shoot. Neither of us felt uncomfortable at all: it was more like hanging out with friends than being on display. And the pictures were incredible!
On our wedding day, everything went perfectly as well. They got so many amazing shots that perfectly captured our personalities and relationship. Every shot is perfect and beautiful, and I don’t know how I will choose which ones to display in our home! Our friends and family have been raving about the pictures as well.
Aside from the amazing experience and the photos themselves, the delivery had so many nice touches as well. We chose not to include a wedding album in our package, and instead purchased digital copies of all the photos. The engagement photos came on a cd in a fun case, and included three cute accordion photo displays. The wedding photos came on a really nice USB drive in a custom wooden box with our names inscribed on the top, along with prints of dozens of the best photos. I don’t know if that’s what they do for every client, but it was just perfect for us!
My only regret is that I don’t have any more events on the horizon that need a photographer. I want to get married again just to work with Brynn and Mike again!

We were lucky enough to learn about the D’Avello team through friends. When we saw their engagement pictures, and we were sold. Every interaction with Brynn and Mike was professional and above all FANTASTIC.
We were lucky enough to have them travel half way across the US to our destination wedding in Puerto Rico. Flexible and possessing a great sense of humor we couldn’t have a better team handling our wedding.
When we got our pictures back (which by the way the turn around time was beyond quick!) we were stunned! The images were amazing. Our family loved them just as much as we did.
Hands down, the A-​team is the best. Our Engagement Pictures, Wedding Pictures, and someday our baby pictures have been the best. We have been so lucky to meet two of the most engaging and passionate people I have every met! To work with these two guarantees the best work ever!

Brynn and Mike Davello are amazing photographers!!! Not only are they professional and take gorgeous photographs, they are also very down to earth and friendly! My husband and I had so much fun at our engagement session and Brynn and Mike captured every special moment at our July wedding. I can not say enough good things about Mike and Brynn! They’re really as good as it gets! They did our engagement and wedding photos and we were THRILLED with the results! And so were our friends and family! They can’t stop raving about how great the photos came out! Somehow Mike and Brynn managed to take pictures that display our natural love and happiness in a professional (yet not «staged» looking) way.
And *bonus* they’re just so darn NICE! We didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. In fact, by the end of it all, they felt more like friends than vendors.

Loved working with Mike and Brynn! We live in SF but were having the wedding in Newport Beach. We had a limited budget, but they were super accommodating and made it work — we were able to have an engagement session in my favorite city, here in SF of course, and then have them be our photographers in OC for the wedding.
Most people probably haven’t done photo shoots in the past, but they put us at ease from the very beginning. There were no «glamour shot» photos that looked awkward, they were able to find angles/​poses/​shots that made us look like us.
The pictures for both came out natural and made us look awesome! The little touches they add throughout the process makes you feel like you are their most important clients! :)

If you are searching for a duo of photographers that place compassion and hard work at the forefront of a client’s needs, than Davello Photography with Brynn & Mike is who you want to hire. They did our engagement photos and our wedding and we could not have found a better fit. Particularly because we were very nervous initially because let’s face it, what couple doesn’t want to have beautiful and classic pictures to always look back on, right? Still, despite our nerves and countless questions, with much patience and positive support from DaVello, my wife and I quickly realized that Brynn & Mike were perfect for us after meeting with them.
For example, within 2 minutes of shooting our engagements pictures they helped us to relax and just fall deeper in love than when we started out that day, not to mention their professionalism on our wedding day was superb. We had a black tie optional wedding, and Mike was attired in a black suit/​tux, and his wife Brynn had a beautiful long sleeved sweater with dress pants on which allowed them both to look fantastic, and also move well for our special day. And, when we received our wedding pictures (which by the way they got to us in an incredibly timely fashion and included a beautiful surprise booklet as well), they brought back all the memories of our wedding day from start to finish. The first time we looked through them my wife got choked up because they catch real moments, and every family and friend of ours who has seen them has absolutely fallen in love with the pictures as well. We had classic shots, some candid shots, artistic, and everything in between, leaving us 100% satisfied and excited to share our pictures over the course of time with family, friends and one day, our children. So, to sum up, they truly care about their clients, have stellar work and will support you ever step of the way to ensure you have timeless and fun memories to last a lifetime! Thank you Davello, you were brilliant!

Mike & Brynn are the best photographers around! Brynn is the organizer and Mike is the creative force. This married couple is excellent at making you feel at ease, and such a nice pair to work with.
I searched high and how for an affordable photographer who still takes great photos for our Laguna Beach wedding earlier this month. We couldn’t have been happier. They strike the perfect balance between the staged photos and capturing you in the moment. They are professional, organized, and patient. I can’t tell you how many compliments we’ve received on our engagement photos and wedding photos. They have all the resources and equipment of the larger professional shops, and can provide pricing on prints, albums, ect. Best of all for those on the budget though, they give you rights to all of the digital images.
We may not have done everything right with our wedding, but picking D’Avello was an excellent decision.

The D’Avellos are AMAZING! I cannot sing their praises enough. My husband and I are shy and awkward at first meeting and we definitely aren’t what one would call photogenic, but Brynn & Mike did a great job at making us feel not only comfortable but also like we had made new awesome friends, and they also managed to make us look nice in photographs and not like complete awkward beasts that we are. We are over the moon happy & in love with both our engagement and wedding day photography, and we couldn’t have picked better, more professional, nicer, kick ass photographers to document one of the most important days in our lives. They were so wonderful to work with, they listened to our wants and needs and did everything possible to meet them, they remembered important details about our family dynamics, and captured them on our wedding day. From the first contact they were WAY helpful, courteous and friendly, they understood that we were working with a budget (I mean who isn’t these days right?) and they worked with us to create a reasonable package that would best fit our photo & financial needs & wants. Not once did we feel pressured to do/​pay MORE or like we were getting less than other clients because of our budget. Brynn is so quick with replying to emails, phone calls, text messages, heck she’d probably manage to reply to smoke signals and messenger pigeons in a timely manner. She was also sweet as pie and always indulged in my crazy Bride-​to-​Be million and one ridiculous questions that I had.
We are recommending and signing the praises of the D’Avello’s to anyone and everyone who might listen. They captured all the little details of our wedding so amazingly, all the tiny things we worked WAY hard at putting together and may have not gotten a chance at really capturing in our minds due to the craziness that is one’s wedding day. Brynn & Mike made our wedding photo vision a reality and we definitely feel we have found our family photographers for years, memories and events to come.

I hired Mike & Brynn to cover several stops along a corporate marketing campaign. The resulting shots were fantastic! Very professional and engaging, whether interacting with folks to set-​up a shot or simply blending into the background, Mike and Brynn managed to cover every aspect of multiple locations, sometimes in rather challenging conditions. One of the most impressive things, was how they managed to bring personality through the photos. I can’t put my finger on how they do it, but the results speak for themselves. Simply stunning work!

We’ve had Mike and Brynn do family pictures for us twice now. They both immediately connected with our kids and made them feel very comfortable. They were both amazing and we all wound up having a great time during the shoot. It felt like we were just out having fun with the kids, I think the kids sometimes forgot they were even there. The resulting photos were fabulous! The poses were very natural and there were so many good ones to choose from! They also took several of just me and my husband and that was a blast too. It felt like it was our wedding day all over again. I loved that we got to see a preview of the pictures the very evening of the day we took the pictures.
I would highly recommend D’Avello Photography to anyone!
