Amanda Doublin Photography

We picked Amanda to do our wedding photos based on her image gallery and pricing. SO GLAD we did! For me, photos were the most important part of the day since we would get to look at them for the rest of our lives.
Amanda was really flexible and easygoing for when we met with her for the initial consultation, and when the day was approaching, we confirmed things over the phone.
On the wedding day (last weekend), she was AMAZING. Always there when she needed to be, and was in the background snapping away. She gave great direction when needed and was very fast. We were SO IMPRESSED.
We will get our photos back in 6 weeks, and we look forward to seeing them!

I had the opportunity to work with Amanda on November 1^st. She was the photographer and I was the videographer. As a videographer you get to work with a lot of different photographers and sometimes it goes a lot smoother than others. Amanda was incredibly easy and fun to work with. When I saw the images I was pleased to find that our mutual client had been in good hands all the way around. Amanda is the kind of person that you want at your wedding. She is non invasive, presentable, easy going and talented.

THE BEST! If I could give Amanda Doublin a 10 STAR rating I would. She photographed my wedding in November 2014 and the experience was nothing short of incredible from start to finish. Photography was by far the most important element to me personally for my wedding since the day just goes by wayyy too fast! I had seen Amanda in action at two other friends weddings in years past and was in awe with how she was barely noticeable at the events, yet captures the most incredible photos!!! A few years later, I knew I wanted her to capture my special day.
She is such a wonderful, talented, easy-​going person to work with who’s not only professional but I felt like I had just another friend who was with me the whole day — super important if you start to feel a little stressed. Her prices were so reasonable compared to what I knew some of my other friends have paid for wedding photography… and they didn’t end up with the quality photography that she provides. I attached a few of them as proof :)

I don’t know how she does it. Amanda is absolutely MAGICAL. I am the least photogenic person in the world but my engagement and wedding photos make me look like a movie star. I have been married for one year and cannot stop staring at my photos. I was hoping for ONE great photo and there is just too many perfect photos. I have even had my wedding featured on two wedding blogs… and it is because of the photography. She has the most unique, modern and envied style. I am constantly asked about my pictures which makes me so happy! Amanda is absolutely THE BEST… and she’ll be the last one on the dance floor :-)

Unprofessional. My fiancé and I were in the process of interviewing Amanda for a potential wedding shoot and we were liking what we were seeing photography wise. We asked about a clause in her contract that said we pay for the original shoot date AND the new shoot date, if for some reason the wedding day has to change. This sounded odd to us, not because of having to pay twice, but because there was no time constraint on this clause. From the time of signing and paying the deposit and the shoot date, if for any reason, the day changes, we’d have to pay double if she can’t find another booking. Now I could understand this, if maybe there was a clause that said «within 3 months of shoot date» or something, but there wasn’t.
Next came the unprofessional part, rather than being helpful and explaining and understanding our concern. Amanda immediately wanted to drop us because we questioned her contract before signing.
Just a heads up. Read contracts, do not get taken advantage of.

Amanda is personable, knowledgable, and flexible! She is prompt and reasonably priced for her talents. I can’t wait to book her for our next big event :)

I booked Amanda Doublin Photography for our engagement session and wedding. I cannot say enough good things about Amanda. She is a lovely person and a joy to work with. She is incredibly personable, but not in your face.
She didn’t bat an eye when my fiancé and I kidnapped her from the airport and told her about all the locations in the Bay Area that we had planned for our engagement shoot. She went along with our ideas and had a whimsical style of her own to keep us comfortable in front of the camera. I think part of Amanda’s master plan is that she really takes the time to get to know you as a couple, and it shows. Our engagement photos turned out absolutely unique and captured the spirit of our love.
I loved having Amanda there throughout our wedding day. She went with the flow and also made sure she captured what she needed. She blended in well with the party and brought a wonderful energy to the day.
I also really admire and appreciate the way she runs her business. There can be so much crazy hoopla around planning a wedding and Amanda offers a sane alternative. Her pricing is really straightforward. She is extremely responsive, and always available and thoughtful throughout the entire process. We received our photos within weeks of the wedding (not to mention a sneak preview the same day) via slideshow at the closing of our reception. It told a beautiful story of our wedding day, and I will always cherish that!
Best of all, we got a CD with all of the photos in high res, no watermarks, and without an extra charge.
The photos came out fantastic, the experience was wonderful and the price was very reasonable — what more can you ask for.

Amanda is absolutely amazing! She photographed my wedding and couldn’t have done a better job. I loved every photo, I loved her as a person. I was looking for someone down to earth but professional, someone who would know exactly the beauty I was looking for, but not be obnoxious or fake. And she was perfect. This is actually my first review on Unilocal,and I am taking the time to write it because she really is amazing. I loved how for the more personal shots of my husband and I, she positioned us where she knew where it would look great. I was so nervous that day… and my pictures looked like a fairytale. But is was my life and real. =) Thank you Amanda! Also I got every single picture on a disk, some photographers charge more for all of them and only give you a so many. She was very negotiable, answered all my questions as a nervous bride and reasonably priced. =)
