Lithia Mazda of Fresno

I am very disappointed in your service at lithia mazda! I brought my truck down in November 2015 for some issues. The issue with the locks was not resolved and I was sent away with no solutions to the problem. The other issue, with the windshield sprayer, I was told a new one was ordered and I would be called when the part came in. I was down there today for an oil change, and since I had heard absolutely nothing from lithia I enquired about the part that had been supposedly ordered back in November. The service tech really had no answer for me. Said he’d check on it, but then told me nothing. Not only that but he left me sitting in the waiting area for over an he before coming back to tell me that the lifts in the service dept would not hold the truck for the oil change. Really? It takes you guys an hr to figure that out? Then he said it would be another 30 to 45 min and they would have it done. That was at 2:15pm and it is now 4:05pm and I’m still sitting in your waiting area. I called ahead for this appointment because I live an hr out of town. Appointment, was originally for 1pm. You know what they say? A satisfied customer will tell 1 or 2 people, but a dissatisfied customers will tell 10!

This is an amazing dealership. Everyone was great, myself and my family felt very comfortable. Jose was a great salesman we felt very comfortable through the whole process. Avi the sales manager was very personable and efficient. All of the staff was wonderful, no pretentious attitudes here. We left with a great price and an even better interest rate on my dream car. I couldn’t be happier. Thank you Lithia Mazda!

I would like to not even give them one star! I have been here multiple times. A couple of times it wasn’t for my own cars. I had terrible experiences but for some reason thought it would be different when I took my own car. I was wrong. My first experience was terrible. I was asked to do a survey and was called by customer service regarding my complaints and was given a free oil change in order to go back and give them a second chance. I went back, hoping for a better experience and once again, I felt like a complete idiot! No one walked over to me when I drove up. I waited and waited and finally had to walk into one of their offices. They started going through what I wanted to have checked along with my oil change, when I told them I had complimentary one, the guy went off. Said it would be near impossible to prove that and that my car wouldn’t even be touched until the following day and this was before lunch on a weekday. I said I would not leave my car if it wasn’t going to be touched. I rescheduled for the following day and he said he was going to call me when he figured out the free oil change. The next day I called early and guess what? He never made that appointment. I have it and will not bother wasting any more time here. I rather drive to Selma if I ever need any of my warranty repairs or pay and extra arm and a leg to go anywhere BUT here. And let me tell you that the feeling is the same from my fiends and family who have gone here and had the same crappy customer service.

My wife has a Mazda and she insist that the customer serves was so much better before. I have been there 3 times and havent been happy any of the 3 times. We took the car in for a brake fluid flush and they told us it needed a new reservoir. When we went to pick it up i asked was the reservoir leaking or was the brake not pumping and he said the mechanic said it looked crooked and when he removed it it ripped the gasket and they dont have gaskets to replace it had to get new reservoir. Second time was to get a new alternator. It took 5 days to get a new alternator in, a part pepboys had in stock for a mazda. When you call they dont answer and takes hours before they do give a call back. Last time Jorge was gone and all I had to do was pay and leave but it took over 30mins to get someone to check me out. They need more people there to take care of people. Theres 1 guy that checks everyone in and the same guy you pay at. Its to much for 1 person. I take my truck to Hendricks chevy and you check in at one area and pay at another area which makes things so much faster and less confusing. Her car sun roof recently came off its track and she called and they said its 130 diagnostic fee. We are not asking to hook it up to a computer just put it back on its track. She needs a new car and this service department has made us want to go to a different brand of car.

I purchased a 2016 cx5 grand touring awesome cross over by the way. I also got a great deal. Jose the sales man that helped me through the process was friendly and had a lot of knowledge on the vehicle. This is my first Mazda but for now on I will continue to keep purchasing a Mazda.

I made the monumental mistake of taking my Rx-​8 to Lithia for service. In my defense, I needed to have an airbag recall performed, so when I had another mechanical problem, I thought I’d kill two birds with one stone. I was getting a misfire code, which suggested it was the spark plugs or coils.
Lithia charged $ 130 for a diagnostic to «suggest changing spark plugs and coils, then re-​test.» (The diagnostic fee is in addition to any repairs, it is not credited if you have them do the work.) So it supposedly took their technician a full hour to determine the most basic and rudimentary of remedies. Obviously you test a repair after you do it, but «then re-​test» made me think they didn’t actually do more than venture a logical guess.
Total for replacing four spark plugs and four coils? $ 1092. I got other estimates in the $ 600’s, but since I was leaving town for the weekend and didn’t want to spend more time and effort towing my car around and paying more diagnostic fees, I had them do it – under duress.
Aside from the fact that they did fix my car, I’m not sure how much worse this experience could’ve been. Their courtesy shuttle was a total joke (that’s another story). They didn’t wash my car before returning it to me, so it had an extra layer of dust from sitting in their outdoor lot. The service manager I was dealing with (Jorge) never called to confirm they were finished and after calling him multiple times to try to get an update, I found out he’d left on vacation.
They also checked the good/​green box on their «courtesy check-​up» for my wiper fluid, which was bone dry. So, I assume they didn’t actually do the courtesy check-​up, but merely filled out a form to make it look like they did. Hopefully they did actually change out all the parts I paid for, but I wouldn’t put much past this place. AVOID at all costs!

Do not go here i brought my mazdaspeed 3 here for an alignment dropped it off at 9 30 never got a call so i had to contact them to see if my car was ready 7 hours later at 4 30 was put on hold for 20 minutes had to call again to get ahold of someone to be told that after all that time they had not even done the alignment for my car and tried saying my clutch was going bad and that i needed a new clutch and flywheel for $ 3200 this is not the dealership to go to if you want honest people to help you

I just bought a 2016 Mazda CX5 Grand Touring. I got a great deal on my car as compared to 2 other lots, and there were several more options to choose from. I paid $ 3,000 less than what I expected and they sure got all those incentives for me. I received excellent service from both the salesman and the loan guy. I walked in at 5:00 pm and was finished by 8:00 pm.
This is my 2^nd Mazda purchase and I will return to Lithia again next time.

I stopped at Lithia Mazda before going to see Ron at Fresno Infiniti, which is where I ended up buying a car that I love for less money. Lithia wasn’t the worst. That honor goes to Clawson Honda. They put the cherry on the crap sundae that is buying a car.
Going to Lithia Mazda was kind of like going to McDonald’s anyway. If you’re at McDonald’s you’ve resigned yourself to something that isn’t going to be healthy or taste particularly good, and you’re accepting that you won’t live to see 70. Your only hope is that whether you get served by the guy too dumb to tie his own shoes, or the teenager who has spent his whole life on a smartphone and doesn’t even know he’s wearing shoes, they’ll get your order right.
I guess in that sense I got what I expected: the typical car sales tactics, a friendly salesperson who doesn’t really seem to know much about the car, like what the difference is between the trims on the Mazda 6. Other than read me the papers in the window, which I could do myself, there wasn’t much insight into the car.
After the test drive was the more annoying is typical car sales go-​to moves. I was asked if I was a Costco member, as that would get me a better price. I am and was asked to surrender my card so they could do whatever it is they pretend they need to do with it. 45 minutes later, my salesperson came back with paperwork indicating the price of the car. I had also asked if they had the trim I was looking for in a different color at another dealership, since my salesperson had mentioned that, so I thought maybe an inventory search was slowing things down. Nope. Just jerking me around because they know the longer you spend in there, the more likely you are to buy something.
After going over numbers for a few minutes, at which point I reiterated for the fourth time or so what I had said when I walked on the lot, which was that I wasn’t going to buy anything. I just happened to be in town and wanted to take a look. My salesperson kept trying to talk numbers but eventually saw it wasn’t going to get anywhere and offered to make copies of the numbers we had gone over for my reference. I thanked my salesperson for this courtesy and accepted. I waited for the copies as my salesperson talked in a glass office to the boss. You can always tell who the boss is at a car dealership.
After 15 more minutes and no copies, I walked out. Even the first copy machines ever produced work quicker than that. This was just more attempts to keep me there so I would buy a car to escape. When they finally noticed I left they were quick to call me, but it was a little late at that point. Ironically, had they not kept me waiting forever, I probably would have gone home and thought it over and eventually bought a Mazda 6.
Fortunately though, I ended up going to Fresno Infiniti where I met Ron. In less time than it took to jerk me around at Lithia Mazda, I was behind the wheel driving home in my Infiniti. For less than the price of the mid-​level Mazda 6 I was looking at, I got a certified pre-​owned Infiniti with very low miles that was loaded with options. I would’ve settled with the Mazda but I absolutely love the Infiniti. It’s a great family car that offers way more in terms of options and power than any trim of the Mazda 6 can. And the experience of buying the car was the best part. Ron was straight to the point with everything, didn’t play games and didn’t keep me waiting. He knew everything about each car off the top of his head. He even called me a few days later to see how everything was going, at which point I had a few more questions, which he also answered off the top of his head.
So save yourself time, money, and frustration, and go get yourself a better car at Fresno Infiniti. Don’t go to McDonalds when you can go to Flemings.

I’d give this place negative stars if I had the option. This is an update on my previous experience. I’ve only went to Lithia Mazda because of recalls, on my RX-​8.
So, my check engine light came on I decided well, I’ll go to Lithia Mazda to get my car checked out. Jorge the customer service rep is unhelpful and doesn’t follow thru with his «call backs.» They tell me a diagnostic will be 130 estimated. Get done with the paper work and service it comes out to 270. It’s 270 for supposed labor when a computer does all the work. A diagnostic is usually free. They’ll take what you have before, you even get serviced.
I’ll never go back to Lithia Mazda of Fresno. Good riddance

I fully understand that people should be paid for their work but I feel like I was gouged at Lithia Mazda. I was charged $ 270 for a new battery.
It is these kind of business practices that give the auto industry a bad name.
I would avoid them unless you have money to burn.

I am very disappointed with the customer service that I received from Lithia Mazda on 2÷5÷2015.
I arrived at 3:04pm. There was nobody in front of me or behind me. At 3:10pm, I was approached by service adviser Jorge Fernandez. He took me into his office. I told him that I needed an oil change. He said that my vehicle takes synthetic oil and would not need an oil change until 7500 miles. I have 5087 miles on my vehicle. I looked at him puzzled because my Mazda sales person (DJ) had called me earlier last month to remind me to set an oil change appointment. DJ also said that my vehicle would need an oil change every 5000 miles. Anywho, Jorge asked me if I wanted to come back in a month. I ALMOST said yes, but I figured that I was already here, so might as well do the oil change. This guy wanted to charge me $ 69.99 for the oil change and $ 14.99 for a tire rotation. Whoa, pump your brakes. First off, I purchased the «Life time oil change» and secondly, AMERICAN TIRES rotates tires for FREE. What the HELL Lithia Mazda?
I opted to wait in the lounge room. At 4:23pm, I received a call from Jorge letting me know that my vehicle was done. I told him, «oh that’s great… I’m actually waiting in the… (click)… lounge room.» Yes, he HUNG up on me. Not only that, but I was waiting outside for a few minutes outside his office for my keys. It was only when another employee asked if I was being helped. I explained my situation and he quickly found my paperwork and keys. He sent me off my way.
This is my first (and last) Mazda vehicle and my first oil change. I did not have a «truly exceptional» experience. In fact, I felt like a second class citizen. I love my Mazda CX5, but when its time to purchase a new car for my wife, I will be looking elsewhere.
Upon closer inspection, I saw that they used a CHEAP Performax oil filter instead of an OEM Mazda oil filter. Very shady practice. I paid over $ 1200 for their «life time» oil and oil filter change. At this rate, I would need to change my oil for 9 years before breaking even. I am very disappointed and should have known better. Save your money and skip the «lifetime» of cheap oil and cheap oil filters. Hindsight is always ²⁰⁄₂₀. I should have purchased a Honda CRV or a Toyota Rav4.
