History
Established in 1939.
Since 1939, Eddie’s Bakery Café has been providing Fresno with great tasting breads, custom cakes and coffee. Originally named Eddie’s Pastry Shop, founder Eddie Riedenauer, changed its name to the now Eddie’s Bakery Café and business has continued to boom. Regardless of the name change, the bakery café has not ceased serving its customers only the best it has to offer.
Eddie’s Bakery Café currently abides in northwest Fresno off Herndon and Cedar. When visiting the establishment be sure to take a number and wait along with the other customers. During this time, take the opportunity to view its delectable treats such as, croissants, cookies, and wonderfully decorated cakes. There is also a full breakfast and lunch menu. Breakfast is served from 7a.m. to 11:00p.m. and Lunch is from 11p.m.-2:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday.
The bakery café has spacious indoor and outdoor seating. Eddie’s Bakery Café is a proud server of Peet’s Coffee and Tea.

In 2007, Eddie’s Bakery Café was purchased by Central Valley restaurateur Marc Wickliffe, and his wife, Rachelle.
Marc’s 20 plus years of owning and operating successful restaurants help them remain focused on continuing to provide the high quality, delicious baked goods that Eddie’s loyal customers expect, with convenient, friendly and professional service.
