History

Established in 1978.

In 1978, the Central Valley was introduced to this beloved Family Entertainment Center with a pirate theme. In 1984, new ownership took over Blackbeard’s, and the park continued to flourish as more and more people consider Blackbeard’s to be their favorite family outing and go to place to host a celebration.

Today, our guest reminisce about how they came here when they were kids, then they brought their kids here, and now they are bringing their grand children. Blackbeard’s has a long history in the Central Valley and covers many generations of guests. It is why Blackbeard’s remains the Valley’s #1 Family Entertainment Center!

In 2014, The Fresno City Council recognized Blackbeard’s Family Entertainment Center for their 30 years of providing Family Entertainment to the Central Valley. June 26th will now and forever more be recognized by the city of Fresno as «Blackbeard’s Family Entertainment Center Day» !

This is a great place to go if you want to maximize your money. Black beards has everything a family entertainment center needs. Arcade games, food, batting cages, mini golf, and much more. It is not as fancy as some of the newer places but it has a family friendly relax feel to it that you don’t get at the newer places. Whenever I bring my kids here I always feel like it was money well spent. My kids get to play everthing they want and I get to be super dad when I can hit a fast ball or sink a 10 foot mini putt. I just love the family feel of this place.

I always loved coming here as a kid and now I bring my own kids here. They love it! Despite a few things that need fixing like some of the arcade games and some of the rides, everything is awesome. My son especially loves the batting cages! I went on black friday and it was a little more busy than usual but they got our pizza pretty fast too :) Also if you sign up for their text then you get specials texted to you ect.

I have many fond memories of going to Blackbeard’s. However today I was disappointed and shocked when I attended a birthday party there. The park is in great need of an overhaul. Rides, building and props are faded, worn out and falling apart. The ship had 3 seats out of order, the hot air balloon toddler ride had a large oil stain under it, and the roller coaster had 1 car out of order. The place needs attention.

Went on a Saturday evening to do something with the kids. they had allot of fun, it’s really cool when the lights go on, especially when playing minature golf. This place is old but still fun and cool for kids. great family fun… I would definitely bring our own drinks and snacks next to time though .a large drink was $ 3 with no refills. but that won’t keep us away.

My friend and I took our kids the morning of August 7th and spent a wonderful day here. We live about an hour and twenty minutes away, our experience here made the drive worth it! The prices are so reasonable, every staff member we encountered were so pleasant and the park was clean! I must give credit to morning/​afternoon shift, they went above and beyond to make our day enjoyable. It was refreshing to encounter such respectful young adults. I’ll definitely be going back in hopes that my experience wasn’t a fluke and that my family will have another memorable day here.

Ah, the great ol’ Blackbeard’s! I remember how big this place used to be seem when I was a kid. I loved going here. As an adult, I still enjoy bringing my nephews or nieces to play some games and enjoy themselves. Sure, it looks a little dingy, some of the games are a little old, and the game room looked emptier than the last time I was there… but it works for Fresno. It’s cheaper than Boomers and old school with the token machines. I love the token machines and not those damn cards at Boomers.
I usually score some free amusement cards from the Farmers Market at the Blackbeard’s booth. Mini golf is enjoyable and great for date night! Although, some of the lights on the course are dead. The course decorations are still my favorite part about the mini golf. The workers are usually pretty good about tokens getting jammed and returning your tokens. But that lack of AC on a Fresno night… my bf and I were sweating a storm playing air hockey. It gives a new definition to cardio.
The prizes aren’t the greatest but when are they ever, right? Jolly rangers forever. Blackbeard’s will always have a place in my kid sized heart. Argh!

Worst place ever turn on your ac I’m dieing in here. Games over priced not maintained. Bad service. Came for the food truck Tuesday so disappointed. Tries the taco truck not worth it nasty taste left in my mouth. Burned my leg on the bumper boat.

What happen to this place? This place used to have the latest and greatest games and lots of people 10 years ago and now it’s like a ghost town. Things like this makes me sad.

They really need to fix their video games because they just eat up the tokens like candy, and other thing they really need to have some food ready for the buyer, what’s the point of coming here when I can buy one hotdog or a corndog when they are out, plus how can they be out when there is nobody here ??? Doesn’t make sense. Seriously fix this problem because the main reason we are here is for the food for us parents. I just come here for my nieces to have fun but if it was my choice I wouldn’t come here anymore. Where is the magic this place had before the gloomy-​ness sat here and took its place.

This place sucks, everything needs to be updated and you can tell it is not well maintained. The rides are incredibly overpriced and only the go carts were open when we went. Would have been nice to know… maybe put that on the website. There were a bunch of weird old dudes wandering around playing games. Honestly, you should avoid this place unless they make sone serious changes.

Great place to just relax and have fun! Today was the busiest I have seen it (outside of summer hours)! Still, not a long wait for a round of golf… I think we just got there shortly after a large group (or groups of kids arrived). They have a lot more to offer … Arcade, go carts, paintball, batting cages, ropes/​obstacle course… So there are options if you don’t like mini golf. They raised their prices $ 2 since our last visit for a round of mini golf, but they also made A LOT of improvements! The place was starting to look run down, but new paint, course carpet (you know, that green stuff that the different courses are made of… It looks great!

I loved this place as a kid and often walked the trek it took to play the games. Do they still have the water slides? Looks lightly updated but there’s that old soul behind it that seems to be a bit dates. Mini golf, mini cars. an alternative to that filthy Chuck E Cheese

I love the mini gold here, at $ 9 per person, its a fun activity to hit during the evening with some friends. Its a thing to do with friends and family after dinner for some fun night activity. They have 3 course, which is beautiful and very fun. The place is nicely kept and the staff is pretty nice. I would recommend this place for a quick fun and great exercise. I love how animated the courses are, the have fairytale land, old west and finally the main one, which I’m not sure whats its called.

My wife and I went here on a date night and had a great time! We played the mini-​golf and you can tell this place took the time to make a great course and to maintain it. there are tons of streams and waterfalls and cool little buildings. We didn’t play the arcade games but they looked fun! They had newer games and some vintage games like whack-​a-​mole. They had small and large go-​carts. The large ones looked like sprint cars and you needed a driver’s license to rent them. I think everyone can find something fun to do here!

This is a great arcade to come with kids or just if you want to hangout with friends or date. They have three eighteen hole miniature golf courses. They have two race cars one for children and the other one for the older kids and adults. They have a big area of arcade games. They also, have a water slides. They also added a pirate show so that’s kinda neat. Furthermore they have basketball, laser tag and ropes climbing. You can’t go wrong here if your trying to do something with the kids !

I went for a field trip quite a while back at the end of 8th grade. While I had fun, I thought it could be better.
I was excited to go on water slides but disappointed when there was like, only one or two (can’t remember). The mini roller coaster they had was fun but it felt very unsafe. A bolt even fell out of it while I was riding it. The girl in charge of the ride didn’t even seem to care.
The pizza was kind of gross. :/​
The pirate ship pendulum ride was the highlight of the trip. It is a ride that rocks you back and forth and eventually takes you upside down. That was fun!
It is fun while it lasts but I got bored pretty quickly. I should come again though so I can give it an updated review.
I would not have a problem coming back.

All I did was play miniature golf and I had a blast. Three different 18 hole courses to choose from. Loads of fun.
