The place was very clean and quiet. The servers are very nice and the cook was very funny and entertaining. The area has very limited parking but the meters are for two hours. It’s a great family place!

I thought it would be nice to take my office along with my family out for dinner. To start off, we had reservations for 12 and when we walked in there was a couple on the only hibachi that can fit that many people. Not sure why they put a party of 2 on that large a table when there was plenty of space to put them somewhere else. Secondly, there was only one waiter for the whole place. Not off to a good start. When we finally got seated at 2 different hibachis(the couple decided to sit for another 45 minutes talking to one another) we felt like we were in a similar place that we frequent often(Benihana). To be honest, the chef’s at this place were much more entertaining and really gave a nice show. They were very friendly and interactive which I also appreciated. The food choices are similar to BH but definitely a smaller menu than the larger hibachi place. The food was quite tasty. There were a few times where the food was undercooked but all-n-all it was still a good meal. The fried rice was better than BH, and the sauteed vegetables was also better here. The portions however are not as big but in the end we all left pretty full. Was it the best hibach I’ve had? No. Would I be back? Maybe…

Brought my mom here for her Bday. She had a great time, and so Did I. We went on like a tuesday night so was not busy at all. it was just us at the table and so the chef paid special attention to us. Even gave us extra food #winning

Love this place, best hibachi I ever had. Staff is very friendly and polite. The price are very reasonable especially for the huge amount of food you receive. We always end up taking a doggy bag home. Overall a great place to eat!!! Wish it was closer to my house so I could go more often

Went for dinner on a slow weekday night and the place was completely empty. Not a single soul except for the workers. First, you walk in and get a whiff of an odd scent like old carpets or something and it really made me want to walk back out but the waitress was already escorting us to our table by then. The sushi is good, I wouldn’t say it’s anything extraordinary. We got the pan fried noodles and sake as well. The overall experience was okay but the smell of the restaurant really bothered me throughout my meal.

The service was great — my date and I were seated at a hibachi table 5 mins after we walked in. The waitress took our drink orders, returned with our soup(very tasty) & salad. Our chef came about twenty mins later doing the usual cooking tricks and livening the table. It’s about $ 24 for combo hibachi dinners and $ 3 extra if you want fried rice. You are given a lot of food(I couldn’t finish my food of course). I know people like to compare other hibachi restaurants to Benihanas and taste & quantity else this surpasses Benihanas.

Overall a pretty good local hibachi restaurant. Pricing is pretty fair, food quality is good but our cook was rather bland. Very standard and not very unique. It was a nice first visit and will definitely be here frequently from now on.

The owner was very nice. Prices are a little expensive, especially they sushi special rolls. Their prices range from 13 – 18. We only ordered one hibachi dish so they didn’t cook it infront of us but just brought out a plate of food. I got the teriyaki steak, it was okay the vegetables that came with it tasted fresh. I just wasn’t such a big fan of the steak itself. Also got the American Dream sushi roll. It was delicious. Great quality fish, tasted so good. Overall I would recommend. I would definitely go back for some more special sushi rolls.

This is my usual hibachi spot. It is delicious, the price is a little on the pricier side, but the food delivers on the price. You can’t go wrong with hibachi here.

Great local restaurant… Went there on a Friday night and it was nearly empty. Our cook was funny and doing some different things than I’ve seen at other hibachi restaurants. I like it because the cooking process was quick and not drawn out like it usually is at bigger restaurants. My husband and I ordered the chicken teriyaki. It was good, but could’ve used more favor. The spicy mustard is delish for the veggies.

I came here on a nasty stormy Sunday evening around 8pm. It wasn’t very busy but it was a pleasant place to go to. The lady sat Austin and I next to a woman and her friend and her kids. We ordered and waited. The soup and salads came out for us all. They did forget about my bottled water but that was ok. I asked for it right before the man started to cook. I enjoyed the whole thing. The food was great. I’m glad I went. Might be back in a week with my daughters and mom.

Absolutely delicious food !!! EVERYSINGLETIME! That’s what it’s all about! I saw one comment that left 3 stars complaining that the«hibachi performance» … Are you kidding me? You should be ashamed, it’s about the food! And honestly the performance never gets old to me, the chefs are very humorous. Quality food, all the time I come here for the FOOD not the«hibachi experience» Sooooooo much better than benni’s

Went back in March and again this weekend and the food remains delicious. Celebrated a birthday and received a free dessert. We had the spicy tuna roll with our hibachi dinners and the tuna roll was excellent along with hibachi dinner. Hibachi chef was entertaining, wait staff was ok. This is our go to place for hibachi

The food was typical to a hibachi place. Our chef was pretty fun though. Try the salmon and the fried ice cream :)

This is a pretty decent hibachi place. I’ve been here a few times and have had some good meals. On one occasion, the food was abnormally over-seasoned and one in our party was served nearly raw steak. Other than that, it is pretty consistent. I usually go with the chicken teriyaki– it comes with salad, shrimp, veggies, and I get the fried rice.

I always have a wonderful experience here but never disappoints and the show is awesome depending on who you get it’s still good. Whether you’re in the mood for seafood or steak or combination of both they don’t disappoint. I recently tried their sushi, The dancing crab roll and that was out of this world. Definitely better than Benihana’s I would suggest you come here.

There’s no point in coming here for anything other than teppanyaki/hibachi. That said, our experience exceeded my low expectations. My early memories of teppanyaki were treasured but undramatic. Food Network specials taught me later that it’s supposed to be an inherently goofy affair with more emphasis on theatrics than food. Tokyo Steak & Sushi is a perfect example — Classy? No! The chefs are shameless! I was terrified, actually, because I don’t need my chef setting an onion tower on fire and then spritzing it with a plastic figurine«peeing» water while giggling and screeching, «Bad boys, bad boys, whatcha gonna do?!»(Yes, this happened.) At another table, a chef was gleefully squirting sake from a squeeze bottle into one of the patrons’ mouths(the guy was really, really enjoying it…), and throwing food at children’s faces, and missing. Our chef was way calmer than the others. I guess they are aware of their audience and will tone down when necessary. Thank god. Eight tables with flattop grills in the main room seat ~8 people each and filled up early on a Saturday night — lots of families.(Tables for the weirdos who choose to eat sushi instead are in a separate room.) Everything was clean despite the«Chinese buffet» feel of the décor. The food was not bad: not interesting in itself, but everything generally tasted fresh and healthy. We tried the hibachi steak, salmon, scallops, and whitefish. Each entrée comes with soup and salad. Everything cooked up pretty fast and the scallop and steak portions were more generous than expected. I’d recommend the salmon and the steak out of those four as benefitting most from the grill treatment. As you’d expect, this place would be awesome for an appropriately aged child. One toddler in the room started sobbing hysterically when the flattop burst into flames, but 4 – 10 year olds in the room were super entertained and the chefs really seemed to enjoy interacting with them. It’s also great if you are a chatty person — obviously the experience lends itself better to diners who like to be chummy with the chefs. Being neither a social butterfly nor a small child, I can think of lots of restaurants I’d rather go to at this price point. But consider that they need several chefs available to cook/entertain at the same time… it makes sense. Waitresses were attentive about clearing away plates and refilling water. It’s STILL a restaurant in the crap end of Queens, but at least the food feels clean, and they embrace the campiness.
